4K UHD Urban Kayaking - Mercer Slough Nature Park - Bellevue Washington - Seattle Day Trip
Join us as we kayak the Mercer Slough Canoe Trail in downtown Bellevue, WA on a weekend day in June. This is a popular slow river style paddle around an office park near Seattle. We launched our boat at the Sweyolocken Boat Launch and followed the loop trail until it ended at Lake Washington under I-90. At the time of filming there was no fee or pass required to use the launch or to park. The back side of the loop was not as well traveled and it was tricky to navigate around thick vegetation in places. You can also see the new Bellevue light rail line under construction. This would be an excellent place to take a beginner paddler.
