All these hate comments are so sad. I am a barrel racer and people don’t understand that she is doing something verrrry hard. She is a good rider, and her horse isn’t just doing everything.
I so agree
As a dressage rider, I completely understand the frustration of 'the horse does all the work' BS comments. I've never barrel raced, but I'm sure you guys are doing way more in the saddle than casual observers think. I've done a lot of disciplines, and not one of them was 'just sitting there'. Riding horses is intense work, period.
Hell yeah! Just hanging on alone looks really difficult.. My 7 year old daughter is just starting horse riding and she got led around some barrels today (walking speed) and her instructor told us to watch some videos of competitive barrel racing..
I can honestly say I'm amazed! Even as a complete beginners father who has never really ridden horses myself, I can see it's definitely not the horse doing all the work, that's a stupid assumption..
Haters will be haters and know-it-alls won't learn 🤷🏻♂️..
@@DanB1987 Aww, I've taught kids and teenaged beginners, it always makes me feel so good to see a kid OR an adult start riding lessons and fall in love with it. I bet your daughter will be speeding around those barrels in no time!!
Isn’t she starfishing
She is 10 and already a champion at barrel racing and I am 11 and I only get to see a horse like once a year and I absolutely love them. Lucky girl.
17 now
I’ve never seen so many people argue about a barrel racing video. I get it she literally weights nothing compared to the horse, I get it it’s a push style horse it knows what it’s doing, also every barrel horse ever puts its ears back when running, also if y’all are so worried about her using spurs and a whip does that mean your gonna bash every other barrel racer too? cause about 89% of barrel racers use whips and spurs. Just let the girl have her moment. Jeez.
Yes, the horse was fine! In fact a lot of barrel racers in my area use neither a whip or spurs, but even if they did the horse isn’t pinning its ears, because if it had it would do something about it unless that’s just one patient horse. Most horses I’ve seen with pinned ears won’t take any of that crap
Barrel racing actually isn’t abuse which some people think. They don’t pull the horse as they have very loose reins, they train the horse well before they go that fast and the horses would never do something like that if they didn’t like it! Amazing job
I know I hate how people are so against it. I literally cry from frustration
Very well said
Barrel racing CAN be abuse in some ways
She is amazing you did so good so proud of you
Agreed
All these horrible comments from fellow horse women! The horse may know the pattern but we should not be taking away from what is probably the best moment of this young ladies life! Let’s remember she is 10 so let’s be a bit more thoughtful and encouraging :) just a thought!
Yes .... but when I was 10 I rode a pony that ran 22.3 on poles and he was very hard not to hit a pole BUT I really see where u are coming from she’s a little kid give her a break
I do question the advantage she has in being so much lighter than her competitors. Certainly it helps the horse pick up speed more quickly.
Less control over the horse though
I've said this FOREVRR. There should be weight classes like in wrestling.
I think that if they have the guts to get out there and run with the big dogs they should. Some of those horses would make adults sweat so it’s pretty cool when a kid can jockey them😁 I was one of those little kids once upon a time and I rode horses that I would be terrified to run now😂
@@desatoyacoombs5826 Excuses.
@@kaylees6199 If that’s your opinion I don’t have a problem with it. I’m just speaking from experience😁
I'm happy to see someone so young have so much fun, go Chayni, go
The awesome thing is, it's not the horse .. it's not the girl .. it's the bond . Obviously her mom didn't do this good on him, but she does because they have a very special bond . Take Hailey kinsel for example, do u think anyone could jump on sister and beat arena records repeatedly? No , because that's her horse that loves her . That's why it's important to get the right horse , because if you don't get along , instead of a partner the horse becomes the enemy. That is another reason you shouldn't abuse you horse because if you do .. they'll never give you their full potential
Your daughter is amazing I'm 11 and I do calf roping she has inspired me to keep up the good work because I could become something great
What type of Bit and Bridle does she use
I can’t believe people saying nasty things about this girl. They have obviously never competed in any kind of equestrian event. I’ve been riding since I was a little girl and I’m 52 now. There is nothing about barrel racing that is easy. It is so impressive that this girl at 10 years old is a champion! She has probably been riding since she could walk. Don’t listen to the haters. Get it girl! You’re an amazing athlete and you and your horse make an awesome team!!
The 10 year old gives us , I give her credit but I think her horse deserves just as much maybe more.
If the horse knows all why is she doing the fastest time ? Why not the other horse can beat its time with a more experienced rider?
What an awesome run!
I don't understand why people are hating on her. You can put someone that has never rode on an amazing horse and they still won't do well. You can have an awesome horse but, you also have to know how to ride it.
GO GURL LOVE THE HAIR AND I WILL FOLLOW YOU IMA A FAN NOW!!!❤️
love chayni😘😘😘😘😘😘
Oh man that's so good. i got 2nd place on my new english horse but she was foward and easy to train. so on my first barrel racing comp (Australia) we got 2nd place. and my friend won the Australian 2022 daniel butterfeild award. and people were asking if my horse came from a barrel racing home. and to this day she loves barrel racing.
For a horse that is usually ridden english, clearly you and your horse showed great teamwork! No question!❤🐎 keep it up!
Also, do u ride english on that horse too? And what breed is she?
GO CHA GIRL!!! love it!
Outstanding
She is awesome I look up to her and we are almost the same age

That little girl can ride. And that horse, that horse loves her. You can just tell. 😂😂😂❤❤❤
That’s so good
and my fastest time was 15.46
That was great riding!!🙏😇
Wow great job I'm 12 years old and can only trot the barrel pattern wow...
and that a really small arena
i am 11 years old and she is ispiring me !
That girl... Is so amazing!
Sofie Bjornholt it's mostly the horse. She's just holding on and hurting it.
Riley Ross she's not hurting flo 😂
shia williams kicking with spurs and pulling on the bit. Yes, she is hurt the horse.
Riley Ross yes your so right ,that little 70lb girl is going to just nock a hole in flo,and he looks so bothered by the kicking can't you just see him bucking and bleeding everywhere omg I must have missed it all
shia williams hahaha not all horses buck when they are in pain. That horses knows not to buck.. 😂😂😂 its pinning its ears. Horses pin there ears when they are in pain too You are an idiot. Spurs hurt horses. Imagine if you were a horse and you're getting a metal pointy thing gabbed into your sides. And then having something metal in your mouth pulling hard after they kicked you with spurs.
This little girl is goin places
She's already been to places
That's impressive for that little girl and that much power with that horse
So I'm a barrel racer and I dont wear a helmet and I haven't been killed or had a brain injury and if I do get killed or get a brain injury I would know that it happened while I was doing something I love and all of this stuff comes with the sport ... Even when u sit on the horse it could kill you ... And I have tried jumping and barrel racing 1: barrel racing is more fun
2:barrel racing is way more hard (at least for me) and its more of a thrill than jumping is
I've never been severely injured while riding. I have been riding for 20+ years and still barrel race and train barrel horses. The only time I have ever been seriously injured I was loading an in your pocket 12 year old horse I had for 8 years and one day she decided when I tied her in my slant load trailer she didn't want to stay and wanted to go she reared up kicked my 2 inches from my temple the other side of my head bounced off the metal trailer 3+ times according to Dr. I was in a coma for 2 weeks. To all those saying where's her helmet. Accidents happen. Guess we should wear one when we are loading our horses to.
But she's A Baby so She deserves someone to Look out for Her well being not just winning. The parent can do BOTH. when she's an Adult she can take the helmet OFF. ⛑ BUT UNTIL THEN PROTECT HER LITTLE 🧠
For me jumping is more fun because you are literally flying across the air at a gallop which is pretty damn insane. And it's more useful if u are blocked from a fence. Plus, people actually get KILLED for jumping so yeah... but I do respect your opinion!
It is really stupid that they don't make barrel racers wear helmets....I had to when I barrel raced and jumped as a youth, it was not a big deal...not only for protecting the rider but for protecting society....do you know how much it costs society (not to mention members of your family!) to become quadriplegic and disabled from a brain or neck injury. No duh, it may not have ever happened to you... thankfully it does not happen that often but is sure is not worth the risk when it can be prevented thru a simple thing like wearing a helmet...that is just plain stupidity and adolescent, redneck stubbornness. Grow up!
I have logged over 1500 free fall skydives and understand exactly why you do what you do.
Awesome.
Bravissima ❤
Bravissima❤
Everyone is so amazed with her, but the truth is that she would be nothing without Flo. This horse knows this pattern like his own stall, so she doesn't even need to steer much, just spur on him. Anyone could do that, right? If you'd put her on a jumping horse, on an arena filled with jumping fences and ask her to remember a completely new pattern, it would not be so pretty. And why the fuck is she not wearing a helmet? If she falls or the horse slips, she dies.
BlockedOrRemoved so true though
BlockedOrRemoved why does everybody think barrel racing is so easy??! who ever does can hop on my barrel horse and see if they can run him on that pattern! and plus I wear a helmet, Fallon Taylor wears a helmet. I actually almost died a couple of weeks ago when I was running a pattern, my horse dodged away from the barrel idk know why and I almost fell off and I was only a couple inches away from hitting my head on the rails at a gallop. now barrel racing is NOT easy
BlockedOrRemoved barrel racing is NOT easy!! you have to know many many things and can't miss 1 step while going 20 some odd miles an hour! as long as I can, I REFUSE to wear a helmet.. I hate helmets always will. I will NOT wear one unless it is required.. even then I really don't want to where one!! I would have died, or in the best possible sinario, my whole body would be paralyzed if I was wearing a helmet during one of my accidents, they say helmets save lives, but in reality there is ALWAYS cons to all pros!!!
BlockedOrRemoved
Sorry, but if you learned jumping within a day, you're probably a bad jumper.

The horse isn’t really a push button horse, horses that are trained to do that just want to go so they just go because they want to push button means you tell the horse one thing one time and they do it easily. In my opinion for a 10 year old she did awesome.
(Btw not replying to reply’s)
Yea your right he kinda automatic tho so basically you sit there and kick
She’s really good and I’m a barrel racer too but not to be like that but one of the reasons that she got a 13:30 is because the barrels are toooooo close together

That horse is impressive... not the little girl. She is riding a push style horse that already knows the pattern.🤷♀️
Amaya Fuller THANK YOU!
Amaya Fuller I agree I was just about to say that
Agreed.
most pro rodeo horses are seasoned and already do know the pattern, you don't take colts to high stress situations like a lot of pro rodeos are lmao.. swear y'all love to hate. just let her live
Amaya Fuller it takes hard work to be able to barrel race and she has to practice to be Abel to handle to wind in her face and stuff so the little girl is impressing

a really REALLY good, big strider
wow :3
Please come see cowgirl barrel
She is a amazing barrel racer
people... do you know how to build up your neighbor or joining the bitter class
They put a girl on a push button horse, with spurs and a crop-like thing. Not impressive, why? Because she doesn’t weight that much so that horse can easily run.
So what
@@thejumpingbaymare356 It gives her a better advantage than other barrel racers. Period.
Totally besides the weight thing, its basically cheating because she could afford such a horse that is that fast, and doesn't mess up. Its the horse, not so much the girl.
You saying “ crop-like thing” sounds like you don’t know what your talking about. If you’re gonna comment about something this little girl has been doing for years at least know what your talking about.
I’d like to see you sitting on that horse while it turns like that clocking 30+ moh

her pockits are WAYYYY to big her hands are up wen they should be down she has a push button horse all she does is hang on a kick how is that amazing
april rose candy at least she's not strapped in ...I hate when someone's strapped to their seat its just not fair. They should learn how to sit in the saddle or get a slower horse...very tiny kids like 5 year olds I understand but not 10 year olds and up
Exactly!
OMG
OMG 😮 I Love ❤️ her 😍
hey blokorremove chayni does her best
Plz no hate but I'm a barrel racer and by the vid I can tell the horse is doing everything all she's doing us sitting up there and kicking my horse is just as fast as here and I do alot more and for those of the people that said jumping is harder because there different patterns and all the other stuff BARREL RACING IS HARDER barrel racing is not just going around barrels in a arena it's alot more u try spinning on a dime risking ur life for 14.0 and trusting an animal thanks turning fast runing fast and doesn't stop
Good job girl…
how is that not impressive
I know right
just 3 countrygirls ikr
English riders find it “abuse” 🙄
Great so we are teaching kids to starfish now? Lovely! ☺️
That girl is tiny, that's the only reason why she's"the best Barrel racer"
She still hooked that faster time..weather you like it or not
Lmao who's jealous😂😂
Not like you could get a better time
If Jordan Harder was on the horse they might
🙄she has to RIDE, she's not just sitting there. Picking on a child, that isn't running at a junior rodeo, she is going up against years of experience. That is super nerve wracking, and she is handling it just fine.
Omg she's jamming those Spurs into the horses sides 😬
ok look have you ever Barrel Race if you haven't we'll of course you wouldn't know that when you use Spurs you roll then she's using her front feet and rolling the Spurs on him she's not jamming them into so if you're going to say stuff about her I want to see you try what she's doing that is not a push-button horse she's very talented I want to see you try that see if he's going to be her time
Amazing People barrel racing is so freaking easy. I've tried it on multiple occasions and honestly not hard at all. Have you ever tried eventing? Jumping meters in a corse you have never seen before, going through lakes and over ditches without going over a specific time limit, dancing which your horse using no words but still every single muscle in your body and have to make it look so simple? Didn't think so. I have an Irish sport horse and a Dutch warmblood, we do hardcore work 4 days a week jumping taller than you and working on dressage skills you could never even do with your own two legs. I've never used huge spurs or harsh bits that inflict pain just to force my horses to listen to me. We have bonds you could never even imagine. Exactly. Point proven.
Nava Silver cool how about you do your jumping and your dressage and she'll stick to barrel racing. Stop being so dang rude.
Nava Silver agree with Kayla....anyone can jump a horse 😝 and I do cross country the normal way by herding cattle not that sad cross county you do in eventing, which IMO is so unfair to the horse..
Nava Silver barrel racing is not easy. It is not. Try to go to the nfr and see how hard that is
Sorry for the noob question but why don't guys barrel race? Doesn't seem particularly girly to me
Barrel racing was put in rodeos because originally it was the only way woman could rodeo. Woman didn’t ride bulls or Broncos, and didn’t rope calves either.
Men can ride barrels only until there junior year then they have to do bronc or bull riding or maybe even roping barrel racing was originally created for women though

It really upsets me to see these riders ,especially a little girl like that, riding with no helmets. As an EMT and Paramedic I have seen 4 highly experienced riders taken to the hospital and two of them are still sitting in their wheelchairs drooling in a cup saying how they "ushed ta be a helluva ridda". To let a child ride helmetless is a disgusting example of shitty parenting.
I agree, however most of the time during showing they do not require you to wear helmets. But I have always preferred it
Not BAD JUST NOT USING THEIR HEADS
So damn true. She's young and is at high risk of concussion or even DEATH
This is some machismo, Texass freedom type of thing is all I can surmise, yet who picks up the bill of something like that is the person's family and the taxpayers so it is entirely not noble and thoroughly selfish for no good reason. It is the associations who should be held in contempt not the individual, but yeah, parents should know better.
ANY horse can trip and fall in these circumstances so it has nothing to do with level or anything.
I’m 12 and don’t use a helmet I’ve been riding since I was able to balance myself upright and so she probably can say the same thing
Saying that she should be wearing a helmet doesn't mean someone is jealous. My daughter jumps and foxhunts, and we're definitely NOT jealous that your kid can hold on while her horse runs around three barrels in a pattern it already knows. Try taking the horse into the arena around jumps it has never seen, in a pattern it doesn't know and just has to trust the rider to turn it the right way and make that a winning partnership then you can say I'm jealous. Until then, take this for what it is - legitimate concern for all riders but especially for young riders who's brains aren't even developed completely in the front enough to make adult decisions. Because the people she TRUSTS, the adults around her, are making a decision that could easily cost her life. If she falls, even a saintly horse could fall on her, or hit her in the skull with a hoof trying to keep clear of her, or she could fall and hit her head on the gate or rail, or any one of a million different scenarios. And of COURSE it will never happen to your loved one because yours is just that special/skilled/talented/lucky/good horse/great rider/insert whatever dumb reason here that you feel your child will not suffer the same fate as anyone else put in that position. I hope that pretty hair flying in the breeze is worth it if she does take a fall one day and wind up with a traumatic brain injury. Because I can point you to plenty of parents who wish they could go back to that ONE moment before their kid got on and got hurt or worse. And plenty of adult riders who wish they'd just worried less about their hair or their friend's comments about the sissy helmet and just taken care of the only brain they had before they damaged it. Former nationally ranked dressage rider Courtney King Dye has said she wishes she'd been wearing a helmet the day her horse tripped at a WALK and she landed wrong, leaving her forever dealing with the effects of a TBI. And plenty of people who wished their loved one had put on a helmet and lived, or hadn't left them caring for them full-time for the rest of their lives. Yeah, obviously I know this kid could get hit by a car tomorrow and all the other stupid straw man arguments people like to throw up as a rational. The biggest thing though is just that you don't have the RIGHT to put everyone else through what happens to more than just the parents after a kid gets hurt like that - from the first responders who have to pick her broken body up off the dirt and try and keep her heart beating until they can get her to the hospital, to the spectators that have to live with that in their minds forever, to the doctor who has to try and put a shattered skull back together and pray there's no brain deficit afterword. To the person who has to come share the news if they can't save your rider, and forever have that just another scar on their psyche. Not to mention the huge cost financially as well...hopefully you have health insurance, but even if you do the hospital will absorb costs, you will have to cover what the insurance won't, not to mention long term care for severe TBI, rehab costs, loss of future earnings, etc. If you are willing to sign a waiver that no one but YOU is physically or financially responsible for the results of any injury to your rider should you choose for her to compete sans helmet then great! But I bet you wouldn't sign that waiver - instead you are going to change nothing and keep throwing her up there and hoping that nothing, not even an uneven surface in the arena, causes a slip or stumble. And odds are decent that she'll live to teach her own kids how to be incredibly irresponsible. Are you 100% certain you can live with the results should she have an accident without a helmet on, and is either killed or left with severe brain injuries? You can watch her struggle to speak and unable to ride or even play with her friends anymore, or go to school, because she's left disabled? That won't hurt you, and you will never think "if I had just cared less about her hair and more about the skull and brain under that hair." I will never, ever understand anyone who thinks their kid will never get hurt. We are already taking enough risk trusting them on the backs of thousand-plus pound prey animals. If you wouldn't let her go around in flat shoes because her leg might slip through the stirrup and get hung up then why let her ride without a helmet? It is one thing if we are talking about unproven items that haven't been shown to increase rider safety, or ones that are prohibitively expensive. Helmets are cheap and they save lives. No question. They are available in almost any tack shop in the nation, and they are easily ordered off Amazon with fast and cheap delivery to all parts of the globe. There is no REAL, RATIONAL excuse. Only some stupid personal feeling that appearance is more important than a kids' brain, or that outrageously stupid delusion that your kid won't get hurt. Not your kid, amirite?
