My dad and brother was also staying there. I believe my brother was one of the people that helped get that lady out. I will never forget that night.

We live 3 minutes from Cypress Point and that night was 100% the scariest night of my life! The helpless feeling we had when we could see that the tornado was headed right for us was horrible!

    Praise God!
I hope y'all are still recovering well.
I'm South of Reelfoot in Millington. I was watching the radar when it hit. It was clear to see that it was horrific. I used to be a Red Cross volunteer and
I wished so much that I could go.
God bless you both and yes, He still has plans for you here!!

Haha! So adorable how They’ve been together so long they fill in the gaps in each other’s sentences. Been caught on that lake trying to survive My boat ride back to Blue Bank myself. I’m pretty outdoor savvy but that wind on that lake humbled Me to this very day. (prolly a good thing)

Very emotional to see the absolute destruction of such a beautiful lake, the loss of life, loss of property in an area that has had some tough economic setbacks in the past and to take a solid punch square on the chin. I know from being down there fishing and the locals around there I have met, without any doubt they will succeed in helping each other and over time rebuilding an even stronger community. Thank you for sharing your story of survival and expierences.

Good video, to this day you can still see where it went through, my parents and the other folks that live there says even the wildlife isn’t the same anymore.

yea, I'm sure it won't be for years, until the forestation can grow back to what it used to be.

Thank you Neal and Karen for sharing this. My family loves to visit Reelfoot lake and our hearts go out to all effected by the tornado. So much devastation and property destruction. I have always loved visiting the gift shop at Cypress Point. God bless the families of those who lost their lives.❤️

The ambulances came from Tiptonville. The problem was with the downed power lines and debris, they have to find a safe way to get there. It was very frustrating for the crews to know people were hurt and every way the went they could not get thru. They finally made it though.

You did a wonderful job showing what really happened. This was just one small area, the sheer size of the storm and all it affected was horrible. Thank you for your stories and the time and dedication it took to do this.

If it didn't lift for a few miles after the lake, it would have been the longest tornado path in history. And as we know, it went onto Kentucky where it killed a lot of people. Terrible night. Thank God for some good stories that came out of it, amongst the bad. We are grateful for sure.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I live about 10minutes north of Tiptonville just before you get to the KY state line. It was a terrible and terrifying night. My heart breaks for the family who was here having a family hunting trip but ended up losing 3 family members in the storm, for those like yall who were at ground zero and were injured and those who lost all their possessions. I will add yall to my prayers for continued healing. god bless you both and your rescuers
