Well, simple answer : SGB gives you 2.5% extra on your investment every year, no GST on your purchase. Bonds are long term investment, no physical gold will be given. You will always end up with cash without any deduction. Digital gold is when you want physical you can order by paying them shipping charges which are higher (500 rs approx).
Right now the best form of gold investment is sovereign gold bond, it pays you interest, guaranteed by government, tax free returns, and appreciation of gold. Also, they are listed on exchange so u can get them at a lower price than their issue price
I'm a jeweller from maharastra. We as Jewellers are interested in selling jewellery than pure gold. I agree to many points put forth by you sir. Although, I would like to correct you on a few things. 1) Pure gold (bullion) which is sold by us in retail jewellery stores, doesn't attract making charges at all. Making charges are only levied on jewellery. 2) Purity of physical gold is always under question that is true. Although, even in digital gold, purity is a question. When you get it delivered, that's when you will be able to confirm whether it's actually 99.5,99.9 or whatever. 3) When some investor tries to sell of his bullion investments in stores like our (only bullion) we don't cut any % from it. Some jewellery chains might as per their policy. However I have invested in digital gold. The buy and sell spread there is extremely high. Which makes the returns on digital gold as equal as physical gold. Also, delivery of physical gold which is starting soon on upstox is going to be chargeable for the investor depending on how much he wants it delivered. I love your videos, even this one. It had some good points but I thought I should give you a correct idea of what happenes in the physical stores.

(will charge you 2000 buy actual value given will be 1930-1950) and if gold is physically getting delivered then you have to pay making charges...do not forget!!! Another interesting way to invest in digital gold is sovereign gold bonds which gives 2.5% interest on investment and exempts from GST as well. Apart from that gold ETF is another way to buy digital gold. Though these instruments don't have 24/7 liquidity but way better than physical gold.

In the long term the stock market despite being more volatile has always given much much better returns than gold on an average...gold usually rises when stock markets /bond markets fall....it is good for safe investing but gold can never give great returns as that of multi-bagger stock. (PS:) take a look at the nifty chart and gold chart from the last year (see volatility as well) :)

I have a habit which is buying gold but i do it differently, suppose i have 100k in my account and I spent 247 rupees somewhere then I left with 99743 so I just make it round figure and buy gold worth rupees 253 then I have 99500 and it’s easy to remember.. Awesome Video Sir ☺️

Gold and niftybees is just one smallcase that might suit your portfolio. For an aggressive investor it could be value and momentum. For large capital it could be Dividend aristocrat. Also, within gold and nifty what % should be the allocation for a quarter can vary. If you know when to increase your exposure in gold or equity, you can invest directly.

I would say Sovereign gold bonds (SGB) is far more convincing than digital gold, as it gives a regular interest as well.

In the long term the stock market despite being more volatile has always given much much better returns than gold on an average...gold usually rises when stock markets /bond markets fall....it is good for safe investing but gold can never give great returns as that of multi-bagger stock.

If we can directly invest in goldbees and niftybees through zerodha with zero brokerage then why to invest in equity and gold through smallcase and that too they charge fee for it ?

Gold and niftybees is just one smallcase that might suit your portfolio. For an aggressive investor it could be value and momentum. For large capital it could be Dividend aristocrat.
Also, within gold and nifty what % should be the allocation for a quarter can vary. If you know when to increase your exposure in gold or equity, you can invest directly.

I think the problem with gold is that people want to buy gold in exchange of cash and not with their bank accounts. This is the reason why digital gold is not that big in our country. Hoping things will change faster
