People would just call him a Hulk ripoff even though Solomon came out long before Hulk did.
Honestly I hope his backstory is better than what’s described here because that kinda sucked. No offense I’m not trying to be rude either it just seemed a bit lazy. Not saying other character aren’t lazily written as well
@@StellerGuy14 he has too many. they go between amazing to outright ridiculous. it's a short so he had to skip over it. also one my favorite JLU episodes was the one he "died" saving hawkgirl
@@StellerGuy14 he has many backstories the one I know Is he got in trouble with some gang they shot him and the mob dumped him in slaughter swamp .when he woke up the song was playing and the damage to his brain from the chemicals only let him remember that but made him strong

Not really. He doesn't have anything in common with the Hulk other than the fact he's a big muscular monster. But that's a very common design.
More like the Hulk is Marvel's version of Solomon Grundy, since Grundy came first

He was also the Strongest living being in Justice League Unlimited. A lot of watchers didn’t know that but Grundy even absorbed Amazo that gold robot that took all the Justice Leagues powers well (absorbed) there powers. But either way Amazo couldn’t damage Grundy and Grundy even absorbed Amazos energy forcing him to leave the Earth (Amazo left earth) not Grundy.
@@JoyBoyCoysomething didnt sit right with about knowing grundy was stronger than doomsday because in dang near any match up doomsday wins 9/10 with grundy probably lucking up on a huge power boost than doomsday adapts and rinse amd repeat.

My first encounter with Grundy was in an old cartoon that explained his origins. In that one he was a mobster that was killed by his gang in the 1920's and was thrown into a swamp where its magic water tried to bring him back to life and only slightly succeeded

I can explain why he reanimated.It was the Lazarus pit under Gotham city in wonder tower.Grundys power comes from electricity.Once he got dumped in the swamp it was a stormy night and some say the lighting and Fluid from the Lazarus pit and made him who he is

Grundy is the epitome of the "powers based on plot" trope. Whatever the writers are using Grundy for, they can just say that this time when Grundy rose again after dying, he has x amount of strength, whether he's just used for Batman or if we need Superman and Wonder Woman to struggle against him
