great video but where does it link to the environment variables defined in the context in circle. I tried this example, but instead of installing an app I just wanted to run a simple aws s3 ls command but I get Unable to locate credentials. You can configure credentials by running "aws configure". any ideas?
You can access the variables with ${AWS_VAR} and you need to define the env variable with exactly that name in the circle env in the according project. That should fix your problem.
@@noveltechmedia thank you - i realised that your example was using project variables whereas i set mine in a context. Its working now. Many thanks again for the great video and swift response.
Since there is now waiting for jobs in circle ci 2.1 would you consider doing a new tutorial on this subject? For example having a build test and deploy step
@@noveltechmedia Showcase the updated version of the configs maybe using orbs, I did your example and the build deploy took 3 mins using orbs I cut it down to 55 seconds! Maybe splitting the tasks up and having them wait in a queue. I'm not sure I'm only scratching the surface.
Nice and crisp.. thx
Very Helpful. Thanks!
glad you liked it!
