    • @Zurround
      @Zurround 18 днів тому +12

Men are 2.5 times stronger than women on average. That means a woman at the very top of the bell curve for her gender who is 3 times stronger than other women will only be marginally stronger than the AVERAGE man and an above average man will still rival or exceed her. I saw a UA-cam video where the world's best FEMALE arm wrestler who no other WOMAN could beat kept losing to the men she went against (average men could not beat her but she was picking strong men at gyms).

      I like the term untrained.
Depending on your job you dont need training because you do hard work either at work itself or at home (swichting heavier tools inside machinery or chopping wood as firewood and tons and tons of other stuff).
I know office workers that look untrained and still are heavyly trained.

My karate teacher back in high school often told the story of a lady in his circle. She was a high rank black belt who got jumped in the parking lot. She tried to fight the attacker and it ended very poorly for her. Worst of all, they wanted more than her purse. She lived, but not without physical and mental scars. Ever since then, my teacher always taught the value of carrying protection and running away - actual survival skills in real situations. He drove home the point that while karate is fun and healthy, real life isn't going to follow any sparring rules.

You're thinking of when the womens US soccer team played a friendly (there's not such thing in my opinion) with Dallas under 15's boys team, they lost 5-2. However there is a less publicised instance where the Australian women's soccer team lost 3-0 to a team of under 15 boys. So there is a bit of a pattern building.
If you're talking women vs men in sports, don't forget Venus Williams losing in a single set exhibition match 6-2 and her sister Serena losing 6-1. They lost to the 203rd ranked man in tennis, Karsten Braasch. Braasch was described by one journalist as "a man whose training regime centred around a pack of cigarettes and more than a couple bottles of ice cold lager".

The marine charged him, grab ahold of him and through him to the ground, got on top while my friend was trying every move he could think of but it did him no good. Unlikely. Martial artists are actually stronger and faster than the average marine. Smarter too since they didn't become a marine and get paid peanuts to serve political agendas. What likely happened is he ran into the one out of a million marines who fought as a hobby before signing up because fighters often look for jobs that let them fight. What he used was in itself a martial art, the oldest one in fact as the Greeks used it and they made those early grabs and wrestling moves to actually crush bone, tear flesh, rupture organs and rend muscle. Considering how Grecian wrestling was in for a while it's likely what he used. Kinnikuman (Ultimate Muscle) kind of gets dark when you realize all the moves they use in the "kids wrestling anime" are actually lethal and once used by the armies of Greece when their weapons broke. Surprised no one sued the humble Japanese man who created it to make an earnest living because their stupid corn syrup kids tried it at home honestly.

If you think wanting to serve and protect your country is stupid then I Pray to God that your not in charge of anything serious. As far has martial arts is concerned, It works best from a short distance. Once someone grabs you and wrestles you to the ground, the martial arts doesn't do much good. The guy just wrestle him to the ground and pounded him into submission. It's just wrestling. Nothing more, Nothing less. No fancy holds or anything like that. Once you got him on the ground, those fancy kicks and fast punches aren't making a difference

Exactly! I once thought I was tough. Took judo from when I was 7. They called me tiger because I was so fierce. Then, when I was 23 I had a man try to rape me. He pulled me into his room, shut the door and dragged me to his bed. I fought, kicked and tried to get my hands free (he was holding both my hands with one of his hands. I was powerless, helpless. this guy was middle-aged, not much taller than me, skinny, bespeckled, and nerdy. I would have thought, a few minutes before, that I could have kicked his ass. I couldn't even free my hands. I remembered what all my judo instructors had told me (all men), 'never let a man get close enough to grab you. If they can grab you, you've lost the fight'. Women are so frickin naive. It's unbelievable. Luckily for me a young man I'd never met (I was in the army and this happened in the barracks) had seen this man pull me into his room. This young man knocked at the door and told the man, 'I don't know what's going on in there, but if you don't let that girl out the next knock will be the police'. The guy let me go and I ran out. I had never even screamed because I'd been too shocked by the whole thing. Shocked that this man had done this (I had considered him a friend) but also shocked at just how helpless I'd been to stop him. Tiger my ass! The difference between a woman's strength and a man's is just unbelievable. There women are just foolish. I hope they're allowed to live their lives never having to learn just how deluded they are.

OK, I am a black belt and I can tell you that it isn't true. Men will almost certainly win, even in the same weight class. When I was a white belt, I was sparring with a female black belt and accidentally took her out in an exchange in which she assaulted me, full on head chest/neck punch over my guard as hard as she could. I was not happy that she did that and after the next break, knew she would do it again since it was so affective, so I immediately launched a spinning back kick as she lunged over my guard and I hit her in the ribs. It broke two or her ribs and she quit karate after that. I am not proud of this, but it happened. She had excellent technique and I had no control over mine. I had just learned the technique, didn't have adequate control over my kick and hit her way too hard. I was probably 30 pounds or so more than her, but not that significant of a size difference. She was as tall as me (6'}, I was stockier than her and was in great shape, just had poor technique control.

When I was in my late teens, my younger brother brought his 11 year old friend by the house. The friend was supposed to be a 'black belt' in his martial art, which was Shotokan Karate. The claim made by my brother is his friend was able to take me in a fight. I laughed at them and said he can try. After some hesitation by his friend and assurances from me that it will be good fun he can try and I won't retaliate or try to hurt him. He placed a pretty competent and fluid circle kick to my shoulder. I barely moved, I didn't feel much pain and I laughed at him.
Body mass and superior strength do count and should not be underestimated. Combined with aggression and years of childhood play fighting, most 'untrained' men could take on a women trained in martial arts unless they are physically comparable and the women is very skilled. It's not so easy as it's made to be.

I'm a 6' 218lb man with about 20 years combined training in 6 styles of boxing and martial arts, and only consider myself on the higher end of intermediate. I do have a few trainers and friends are pro mma fighters. A few points:
    - Depending on the weapon, having one can definitely give you an advantage against an unarmed person... but the power you have with non-sharpened melee weapons will still be tied to how much power you can generate. Better pray they don't disarm you as well... or you aren't brought up on legal charges.
    - Flashy display martial arts like TKD aren't going to prepare you well against someone who is highly trained in grappling and striking with actual fight experience. Doesn't matter which belt you have.
    - Superior size and strength are really hard to overcome, and people WAAAAAAAAAY overemphasize the correlation between belt color and how dangerous someone is. Especially with black belts. There are numerous times I was sparring with someone who was at least 5 belts higher than me, and they had a really difficult time dealing with me based on me being bigger, stronger, faster, able to give or take more damage or being more aggressive. I am sure that would work in the other direction as well. These days belts mainly just show how long you've been at one school. Not how good you are in a fight. There are plenty of people who are good at kicking air, punching stationary targets, and doing forms who can't handle live opponents... especially if they have physical advantages.
Unless you are talking about a man who is really old, smaller than her, and or crippled in some way.... she's going to be in big trouble if an "average" size man attacks her, partially because of the testosterone gap. Any good self defense teacher would tell her that her best bet, even at her level, is to kick him somewhere sensitive and run. It's what I tell my daughter (who is in JKD). Only a social media feminist could be dumb enough to think the attacker is the one in danger... accepting the original post was a joke.

In one take down, you get your arm around the neck and hook fingers into (in this case under) nose. She had to have me bend my knees so she could get her are all the way around my neck and to under my nose. After she finished her demonstration, I simply stood up before she could more her arm. Similar experience, my team captain was a girl (senior) and about 10lbs heavier than me when I joined in 9th grade. I thought she would embarrass me due to all her experience. Turns out that farm type work + weightlifting from a young age made the strength gap so huge that she couldn't even score a point on me if I didn't want to let her move me. Within two years I put on another 30lbs and the difference was so dramatic that I could just straight lift her off her feet and slam her into the mats at will. I had to be careful to not accidentally hurt their wrists during pins due to my grip strength.

He eventually relented and mixed one class. He told the guys to go half power which the women found hugely insulting. 15 mins in and there was sobbing, tears, snot, one had puked, the medical kit was out, an ankle was being strapped up. It was a circus. We really were taking it easy on them. Just our weight alone on top of them and they can't breathe.
Isn't it weird how men get humbled when they join a studio. You learn a much smaller but more experienced guy can fold you in half. We respect everyone. It seems that they do 2 months of classes and then think they are Bruce Lee.

As soon as we started I got the first hit, just a back hand to the chest, not even something that should hit but it was quick. We broke and I did it again, and again and again. I started to get penalized for throwing front hand strikes, so I started throwing back hand, then front leg, then eventually back leg. By the end of the fight I could only block, he never did land a hit on me.

I started kickboxing at the age of 7.
For years, an ultra-motivated young girl who took the same classes as me, in the same club, and of the same age, was better than me.
YEARS of fighting, where I was regularly dominated because she was more technical than me.
And one day, things changed: it's called adolescence...
The funny thing is that as an adult, when I was in the military, around the age of 23, I was deployed to Corsica, to the Citadel of Ajaccio, not far from where she lived. We saw each other again for a while, and we had a fight, to remember the good "old days"...
She was now a fitness instructor, and even though she had stopped kickboxing she had an athletic physique and more than 10 years of experience.
As a soldier, I was not the "average guy", the balance of power being so unbalanced that it was frustrating.
I had the memory of a fighter against whom I was obliged to give my all.
As an adult, I had to do everything possible not to hit her too violently.
She was very athletic, dynamic, and still had reflexes conditioned from childhood. And yet, it was the equivalent of fighting with a child as an adult: we make efforts not to hurt, and to give the other the impression that they have a chance...

society today, but more so women to be specific, only believe that men exist with malice in their hearts and evil intentions. Women today truly cannot comprehend men having any genuine good intentions for women such as protecting them, giving advice that is in their best interest, telling them what to do or not to do again for their best interests. The narrative women present us today is that men are evil, assume in any situation the worst case scenario because why would men do anything else... they're men duh. It's stupid and frankly that proves to me that women are the evil ones or at least are hopelessly dependent on negative dogmas about men. Honestly, how else do modern women operate in life without this mentality, if they believe the truth they'll be cast out of the female pack, they'll be shunned by fellow women. And women almost always care more about what a random woman thinks of her than the closest male she could ever be with.
It's just female nature, men don't get mad about it we just learn and adapt to it as we always have done.

You dont get out of a fully set arm bar since all that happens once you resist...is that ur arm is gonna break.

I have done REPO for well over a decade and I have had women beat on me to try to stop me from taking their car, including "Trained fighters" that were female and it is like you are getting hit by a 12-14-year-old boy. Most of the time I can ignore them unless they have a weapon. That being said I have seen grown men take tasers and pepper spray and ignore it, I have never seen a woman do that.

When i was taking lessons, i (a white belt) was quite often asked to spar with the red and black belts. Because i was over 6' tall. They had to learn that reach is a thing, and that greater mass and strength are a sting. Training helps, but speed, strength, and mass win hand to hand fights.
When i was sparring with these students, they didn't win. They were much more highly trained than i was, and being smaller, also faster. But i could take a full force hit and deal with it. They, well, they could not.
Our sparring was supposed to be light contact with pads. I had a teenager do a wild spinning back kick that hit my shoulder (no pads there). I just grabbed his leg and threw him into the wall. He did a full force strike to an unpadded area, and he needed to learn a lesson. Was a great kid, just a bit uncontrolled, and he needed to fix that. I got a bruise, he got a lesson in leverage and strength.

Later on I started doing kickboxing, sparring against female tournament fighters. They were fierce, skilled and precise with their punches. Even when going full out they couldnt hurt me, and I encouraged them to use me as a punching bag.

If I can't .. eyes, groin, knees and throat are the targets. First choice would be eye gouges. Women who think they can take out men with punches and fancy spinning kicks are delusional.

There are many black belts out there, some with the same experience with no black belt, and the staff she is using is light weight. I use close to combat steel real heavy weapons, and I've been doing martial arts since 1986 all the way to 2006. I even study martial arts while stationed in Korea for a year. Yes, I got my black belt at the end too. Still, I don't consider myself all that even when I still practice, but not as much as before at 58 years old now.
A taller woman said she could beat me up with her two years of kickboxing. She didn't know my background. In the end, after ste tried throwing some punches at me, she started crying because she realized she couldn't even defend herself against me. She was a little taller than me.
I am only 5'5" tall, and unless I am defending my family, there is no reason for me to try to fight someone who looks like Dwane Johnson ( The Rock). It would be like IpMan movie when he was fighting Tyson. IpMan was struggling.

Those trick staffs would fold like a Christmas wrapper roll if you tried to hit something with it. They’re literally a useless toy and they dont even have enough weight to make it an effective exercise that could translate over to a combat staff. Ffs.
