Not sure why you have both maps mounted on your bike, I would have your phone on your person, as if you came off and separated from your bike and need help, your phone is with you, I changed my set up for that reason, ride safe
Hi, thank you. I appreciate your advice. Yes, I do keep my personal phone on me when riding. The one on the bike is a Thork Racing DMD-2 navigation phone (ruggedised, waterproof) I use it mostly for off-road riding. I use the TomTom for on road because it gives more options for types of roads, including unpaved. I use the two together sometimes when creating routes of different types, and I record gpx files on the nav phone.
@@livelongrideonover70 oh well that explains it, I had a oukitel wp5 which sounds very similar to the thork, I used the free DMD app for the phone but did not get on with it, maybe I will give it another go, the bike seems to be holding up, think a lot of the Chinese bike are becoming really good, and will get better, over time, ride safe
