A light prune of new growth and flowers (after main flower flush) is generally best to keep banksias in shape. If it needs a full rejuvention then check if the species has a lignotuber - they can be cut near to ground level and will bounce back. Researching your specific species or cultivar is essential. Check out this GA story, it's an oldie but a goodie! www.abc.net.au/gardening/how-to/pruning-banksias/9433156
Absolutely beautiful ♥️♥️
Fantastic video 🤩 Josh, Kings Park and natives... all of my favourite things!
I am trying to find out information on when and where to prune after the Banksia tree flowers. What resources do you recommend?

So that is WA how about NSW. When do I prune Gravillias?
This chap has never seen my garden.
How in hell does anyone know what choices to make? It is a black art to me.
