The trouble with learning French (if you're an English speaker) isn't understanding the grammar, but trying to understand 5 words spoken as 1 word!
I studied Russian for 5 years but I really learned to speak the language by listening to the natives. The way several words are rolled into one in conversational French is really stretching my listening skill beyond its limit.

I agree with you, plus for me, the fact that final consonants are silent, and that there may be no way to tell if a subject or object in a spoken sentence is singular or plural without reading the actual ssemtence. All this is why I really don’t expect to be able to ever speak French, although I can comprehend half to two-thirds of the French I read.

@@kathrynschierloh7358 okay. I understand you, but the gender thing mostly applies for written french. Quel or Quelle is pronounced the same way. So keep working hard. I learn alone. But I wished I have a tutor.

First: 30%, second: 80%, I understood everything the third time around.
I like the fact that you leave in the funny stuff like "exprimination" 😃 we have that in my language (Igbo) too, where one unknowingly invents an interlingual portmanteau word.
Your tutorials make the learner comfortable, and allows for a friendly learning environment.
