- Getting lost (twice) somehow only made it BETTER - what an incredibly cool welcome, and absolutely amazing meal at "Khrua Sai Taan" Restaurant in Baan Daan, Buriram.
This is the kind of experience that just blows me away. Thank you for giving me the time to explain all the special parts of this meal! I hope you love this video.
First of all, big hug and thank you to TIM, it was his family that welcomed us this evening, and it was Tim who gave us the info on this picture perfect location.

I can easily imagine taking my entire family here for the weekend, wanting nothing more than just to hang out here for days... but we were very fortunate instead to feel like THIS family was welcoming us as relatives - the reception, the care, oh my goodness the FOOD, just a lovely, lovely evening.

Hi Joel. This is Tim. I'm so sorry for the late reply. End of the year work responsibilities, and the holidays have kept me rather busy. I just want to thank you and Li from the bottom of my heart for your visit to the restaurant and the wonderful review (I watched the video 4 times). You really took the time to not just talk about the food, but discuss the family, culture, and setting. Everyone was very happy with your visit. I'm so glad you made the extra effort to find it. I knew it was going to be a little difficult to find and that's why I provided as much information I had to get you to the spot. I want to let you know a couple of positives going forward as a result of your visit. First, the location. I knew it was a hard find, but your video pointed that out through your direct experience. So we sent some funds to Maew and her husband to make a sign that will be put out on Highway 219. He is in the process of making that right now and we are getting updates daily. Second, your warm conversations with Maew. I've found her by nature a rather shy person, even within the family. As she mentioned in the video, before the waterside location, they had a small place in the back streets of Ban Dan. So she's not used to foreign customers. I think your visit helped to boost her confidence. She's posting a lot more on the restaurant Facebook page and they are starting to get more customers. Thank you again so much. Hope someday, somewhere, to share a table of good company and good food.
Ah TIM!!! I saw this on Facebook (THANK you for being patient and sending it to both places). I do TRY to answer every comment, but there are over 10,000 now across all videos and.... I am very, very happy still today with the memories at your family's place here - it is one of the best videos of course, but one of the best memories of this whole UA-cam channel for me so far. Really beautiful day, a great time, cant wait til I can visit again someday.

Nothing as grouchy on my part to jump to watching you just right after work and see All the great view and fantastic food, oh can’t wait for adventures, I noticed in most food you eat even Mark, there seems to be lemongrass, also no extreme mask rules and I hope they got hand sanitizer but it looks so clean and refreshing atmosphere., thank you Li for all your support and being a great help mate to Joel, I greatly admire and appreciate you. I am in the same boat, stuck in London. So tearful watching this because it is so typical of the area. My wife's village is about 20km away and we experience this hospitality most days, extraordinary. Isaan - wonderful place on earth, as Joel says it is the next level
