You can do better when you stop thinking like this ... The seat in IIT Madras as an example will be not more than 800. Total seats in IIT all over is 17k.
Our population is 1.4B people who sit to write IIT exam (Advanced) is about 1L 80k almost the same every year 17k and 1L 80K it's a huge gap. Sometimes even the best won't be able to make it through IIT.
Always be happy with what you have given the best but not a failure. Instead use your potential to do something great or amazing.
Remember; you do need the best to achieve the best. Achieving the best is always based on your hardwork, skill, knowledge and some luck.
You need to dream bigger. Ask any IITian, if their dream was to just get in, then they would not get anywhere in life. IIT was just a small step along the way. You can achieve your dreams in many ways that do not involve IIT at all. If you have the opportunity for IIT then that's wonderful. But there a tens of thousands of people each day that achieve their dream or living their dream without ever having set foot into an iit. If your dream is narrow then you will always be disappointed or heart broken. Your life is more precious and valuable than that.

7:28 While looking at the facilities of the incredibly wonderful campus, I think that the gym facilities should be a little better compared to other places. I think studying is done with physical strength.
This might be a hostel gym. Main gym must be another one. In our college( IIT Kharagpur), almost all hostels (we used to call it hall) had their own gym apart from one common gym( that is verry big where both girls and boys can come together).

Also mention that in one room there are only two LAN cables so either the third fellow has to wait for his turn or they need to arrange a router. Huh, i mean in a room of two they are accommodating 3 people.

Well i am not so surprised here generally IITs have good amenities no doubt.
Teachers there mmm na.... not so facinated about, all almost all are the same except few exceptional once.
The main difference between other colleges and IIT is that the ecosystem, facilities and the people around you. You get amazing contact if you are from IIT the IIT alumni is super strong and solid.
Except all these nothing much great or super exceptional !!!

I came to IITM for the Shaashtra Event and I stayed in Mandakani. It was no less than a 5 star hotel with such clean corridors. Visiting IITM was such an amazing experience

Why suicides are more in iit?
It depends upon individual
Because of Indian family culture that emphasises prestige over the wellbeing of a person or genuinely supporting a person to naturally develop their own God given talents. This narrow focus on pushing their children down a path with an all or nothing attitude is incredibly damaging.

this is because of undeserving candidates who get admission through any quota, now before you start arguing with me hear me out...
if you open the list of the people who dropped out of college (IITs), you'll find that the count of gen candidates and even EWS candidates is quite low (like 4-5 people gen and 10-15 EWS) but other category candidates have dropped candidates like 45-50 obc NCL, 30-40 sc and similar St
now I don't hate reservations (I do hate them but I'll not be biased while doing this comment), the most of the people who suicide are the ones who can't handle academic pressure or they don't get job offers or anything like that
now guess who can't handle academic pressure?? the ones who got admission in top IITs even despite getting 15-20k rank and who gets this type of opportunities??
I'll not be speaking it out loud as i guess most people understood my statement
but on the other hand we got ppl like Reddy who got AIR 14 just by copying his exam, how will he survive in NIT suratkal cse with PPL who actually worked hard... even tho he's a gen candidate, PPL like him can suicide too just because they never deserved their seat
concluding, i wanna say that these are the things my teachers once told me in 11th and I was too naive to understand this but as I am growing up, i find this reason more and more accurate
