This car is my dream car with the 440! I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to give it up. Hopefully you keep it and you and your daughters get to enjoy it for years to come.

Keep it. Don’t modernize the engine. Keep driving that 318 and rebuild the 440 overtime. You’ll have that time to tinker someday and wish you kept it. Maybe some day pass down to your daughters. I keep mine under a large UV waterproof sunshade in my backyard. It works.. Get a lean to built if you want something more solid but don’t wanna spend a lot. Get your daughters involved that way y’all can be together. Mine is a labor of love I need something to tinker with. If I could do it over I’d buy a restored one. Car is fine sitting on cement . Get a weather proof cover at the least or good tarp

Thank you Stuart. I appreciate your advise. I wouldn’t want to regret down the line. Will be a tough decision going forward.

My advice would be to absolutely not sell it. Do everything you can to keep it. Everyone that I know that has sold their musclecar has regretted it. You'll also likely never be able to get another Charger in decent shape at anything near a reasonable price.

I get that same sense from several on my side as well. Just don’t want the car to rust away. Time will tell I guess

Ive always admired your car. Beautiful. Your in a touph spot man, but family is family. Working 7 days a week is even toupher and barely any time off. If it weren't there tomorrow but cash in your hand would you still be at peace.

If you don’t need the money then why sell it bro. If this is your dream car find a better way to keep it covered. Hate to say it but I think you’d regret getting rid of it down the road and when you do decide to buy another one they will be almost double in price. I would think long and hard on what you want to do brotha. God bless!

That is one hell of a hard decision man. I don’t envy that decision at all. I also trying to finance a classic car myself. My credit score atm is a 650 not that great and I have $10k to put down. I don’t know why I’m so scared to pull the trigger on it lol. You have one freaking bad ass car man. I’m a Chevy guy myself and my dream is a 1970 chevelle but man the cost of them is just insane. Shoot your charger is even more lol. But if I were you I’d sit on that decision a couple weeks talk it over with your family and so forth and make sure that’s what you really want to do. Me personally I’d put that car in storage until you have time to start working on it again. It would suck if you sold it and then down the line you want another one and they are over $200k to buy. Good luck brotha!

I think you gotta look at it as an investment now. It’s only gonna keep going up so the longer you hold onto it the more money you will get back in the end

Brotha avoid selling it I'm telling you you will regret it on the long run.Im 45 now and I've been fortunate to have owned several desirable cars.Since I was kid n d early 80s an uncle of mine which was a mechanic had tons of muscle cars, they were so easy to get back then. But time passed an eventually got rid of everything. Then in my 20s and 30s with another uncle we bought and sold cars from car auctions n towing places. He had done that since the 80s,we made crazy money cause we had the right connections.Back in the early 2000s mopars we're still pretty easy to get and I got my chance to have owned a 68 and 69 I bought from a man we knew. He needed the money, I got them dirt cheap yea they needed work but they were both R/T models with big blocks.Sold them cause money talked about 2 years later I bought a 70 charger from a lady pretty much down the street from me.Ended selling that also.I got to own 3 supras and the one I really kick myself for was a 71 Pantera...It was so easy to get any car..but that's changed!I think you know how desirable mopars are especially charger's.Times are tough now those times are gone now and just have my daily driver lol..I hope you consider my message and able to keep your car!

My thoughts are that if it's not a financial burden currently, meaning it's paid for because that would be it's biggest cost at this point (besides insurance premiums) and it doesn't cost anything too financial just sitting around (and it's not a problem to have it parked where it's at) then I would just keep it. So many former classic car owners in the past have eventually gotten seller's remorse for selling their old classic car's back in the day and today for "whatever reason" that motivated them to do so and as time went on wished they hadn't sold them after all probably mostly due to how much they appreciated in value and missing the ownership experience. Your life will have all kinds of swings in all directions and eventually you'll get back to this car and be glad you kept it. You'll never regret keeping it anyway. But if you sell it? Most likely you will be remorseful. Good luck with your situation.

The 69 charger is my #1 dream car been looking and saving for one for years…that being said I agree with the others here that everyone I know who has sold their muscle car regrets it. Think through every possible option and go with what is best for you overall.
And if you do decide to sell…my father and I would be real interested! Can’t lie about that lol. Take care.

I dream about having this car. It’s easy for me in my position ti tell you to keep it but it’s your decision in the end. I would be very interested in buying it if it comes valuable
