- Just wanted to show what a difference it makes to fight him using that "secret stash". Although its not unheard of to make it to Dracula fully powered, without cheating, kudos to the people that do that!!

I dont care if this is considered the "cheap way" that was fucking glorious.
You know, it's a good thing that the castle waits for you to leave before destroying itself.
It is shocking how old this video is! A piece of history!
Call Congress, get it admitted!
Dracula fights cheap so you’re just meeting him on his own terms really.
Man, this guy is Pro with Simon! Even Moonwalking up the stairs! Everyone always got mad at me for it because they could never figure it out.
Yes I know, either way, it's second nature to me. Maybe you know this already, but you can jump onto the stairs from the floor ( by pressing up to keep from falling back to the floor), it saved me from falling off screen and dying several times.
Oh my god that was funny! You'd think Dracula would be smart enough not to put that stash there, maybe he was high though?
Yes, a very handy trick that you just had to learn the hard way. This game was, in so many ways, much harder than many games today. They never gave you anything beyond the very basics of the game and let you figure it out on your own.
Don't you mean...
SIMOONWALK?
Moonwalking=awesome. If the stairs go to the right on-screen, press UP+LEFT (left being the opposite direction to the stairs) and you'll moonwalk up them. Likewise, stairs go up to the left, UP+RIGHT.
A fantastic game! It's also a hard game to beat, but once you beat it, it is SOOOOO rewarding!
It’s not that hard. Maybe some of the levels, but not that hard.
Well, the _Al Gore Rhythm_ suggested me this video after too many years not knowing this secret.
I found this on accident yesterday, but didn't realize you had to go up invisible stairs. But i wanted to beat him the old fashioned way and i did. 8D He wasn't too bad, pretty epic tho. I had one health left in the end.
Those allow you to have more of your subweapons on screen at one time....with the II you can have two crosses on screen, and the III you can have 3 on screen!..lol
Thanks for sharing. I went back and beat this game so many years later, and your vids helped me understand Dracula's patterns and beat his ass.
Awesome! Glad to hear it, and glad you were able to conquer this great game! This is definitely one of the best Castlevania's out there!
This battle was executed amazingly
man you're freaking good
I like those skills
I agree whole heartedly!
Yeaaaaah
The #shown in the box (II=2, III=3) tells you how many sub-weapons you can have on the screen at the same time...like in the video I have the III box, that means I can have 3 crosses flying around on the screen at the same time instead of only 1!!
Seemingly possess unlimited axes, knives, napalm, crosses, and time. Finds nuclear rosaries that kill everything but him. Poses as he strikes. Moonwalks up stairs. Shuffles his feet while cracking a chain whip. Floats midair and farts to move. swings on winged rings. Wears an ugly mullet. Fights the Incarnate of Nightmares without pants. And most importantly, has the most serious attempt at a bad ass theme EVER. God bless Simon Belmont. We know he tries...but Simon is too independent.
Thank fuck for Emulator save states on the last few bosses xD MAN, that skeleton with the spear, Death and Dracula are SO cheap themselves, you gotta do whatever it takes to beat those MF’s. Dracula wouldn’t be that hard on his own, but those fireheads really mess you up :P
Thanks for this video I was using Nintendo save slots as cheats but this is easier
Helped a lot :D, Thx
I played this a bit when I was a kid, but I was more into Megaman X so I never beat this. I just got this off the Virtual Console for my Wii. After beating it once, I can't say I've mastered it like many have, but either way this Dracula kill is impressive in my eyes. You've mastered the timing very well and know all of his patterns. I relied too much on my throwing weapon, and instead of killing the flames I just jumped over them and swung at Dracula when he reappeared. My kill was slower.
@TeancumElite Nice. An interesting way of describing our intrepid hero. Although I disaagree with the mullet bit, Simon's simply rockin' his Jesus hair!
I never knew about that secret!!!!!!! If only I knew bk when i played it.
@BeholdMyStrength amen to that, the only reason i havent gotten a game over in a castlevania 2D game is because ive been playing it as a kid.
also compared to the new ones we have, castlevania 1 and 3 make the rest seem really easy.
ah man. yo killed him before the best part of the theme song played
I like it fun to go on the secret path, get full health and ammo, then enter Dracula's room when time shows 666 or more, and kill him using so many cross boomerangs until 66 remains so Simon could execute Order 66. 😅
@picorettte the game has a bunch of hidden goodies. this is just the last one right before dracula. it was set up because of the fact that the player has to fight 4 bosses in a row

Moonwalk
This game is very hard, you are good!
@vanfanel150 As a kid it took me a few days to beat my first time. But once you get the levels and the boss patterns memorized, you can walk right through it in about 30-40 minutes.
Yeah, the classic Castlevanias are hard as hell, especially CV 1 & 3, both for the NES. Just have to play them over and over again, and eventually you'll learn all the little tricks, and then you can walk through them without as much trouble...except for CVIII, that's hard no matter how much practice you have!
lol..ahhh if only Dateline had a Simon Belmont!..lol
I gotta try that.....
haha thanks for the comments guys!!
@picorettte its real bruh, its just a little hard getting back up and knowing where the hell the inviisibile platform is. You try it! its fun!
my bro has the record for this game =]
Dracula made a UA-cam account called "RazielFallenAngel" and didn't like this video.
I know this is 8 years old, but I just happened upon your comment and realized that the person you cited is referencing soul reaver in that name. As the char who goes around assaninating vampires and eating their souls, it seems rather fitting.
@BeholdMyStrength CVIII is definately a ball breaking game in my eyes. I cant get anywhere in that game!
You can do it down the stars as well! =D
Complete ownage, my god.
who is your brother, if you are beong honest i respect him... i've seen the record at SDA
I've used this secret many a time. As you can see, it goes much quicker!
I don't use the Cross. I use the Axe. It's faster and safer to use since you don't need to jump unless you need to dodge.
It's been a long time for me. I had this game in 1991 on my Snes and I beat it many, many, many years ago. I played it again on the Snes Mini and did not beat it for that machine. Well...here I was again at Dracula in Castlevania 4 on the Konami Classic Collection on my Xbox One X. I was going to buy it for my PRO but no platinum trophy but I digress....I could not remember how to get based his purple ball things and then I watched your video...I beat it (Achievement unlocked). Thank you for this video...now I am off to sleep and when I wake I start with Castlevania 1 and not stop until the first 3 on the Nes are beaten (my weekend starts on Thursday every week).
why are the pants so small?
Haha, yea I remember I found this by just wanting to kill myself so I could get a password!!! Ahh the memories!! Oh, and I just now noticed...I'm not to certain what that weird noise at the start of the video is.......but at least it doesnt last long!
Caracas
the first time i was fighting dracula , and suddenly this amazing music turn on . i was like wait , hold this tune on . i was so enjoing the music...i died xD . but the second time i beated him and i was like... D: wheres the music..if u would tell me that before i wouldnt kill you...Nooooo xD (just make it more dramatic...but basicly the story is true ^^ )
I was able to beat Dracula with the secret stash but damn not nearly as flawless as this
Thats not cheap way that is how you beat him👍🏽
@picorettte Ofcorse its real!
What's not skill?
i foudn that secrete on accident.
@TARINunit9
The next CV should be based in Rome during the time of Christ. Simon of Cyrene (The man who helped Christ carry the cross) can also be the man who scourged Christ. In an attempt to win redemption through merit, he can wear his Roman Armor and be the guy who assassinated Caligula.
CV Dracula had a VAIN castle. Historical Caligula had a VAIN palace. Both caused uspeakable violence, created ghastly abominations, pillaged their people, crucified and impaled ALOT of people....
Michael Groesbeck u wrote this 6 years ago
lmao moonwalk
yeah its almost impossible to make it fully powered w/out using the cheat!!
0:02 wtf ?! is this a cheat or this is real ??? Oo
1 and 3 are so much better than 4 for me
Cave Story disagrees. =(
@BeholdMyStrength
Jesus wore a perm. Jesus was bald. Jesus wore a pony tail. Jesus wore dreadlocks. Jesus wore mohawk. Jesus spiked his hair. Jesus was all natural and never had his hair cut like Samson.
Seriously dude, don't make me go on.
Whole has is full of cheap deaths so it's only fair
You killed him so fast that I barely enjoyed the fight and the music.
Thumb down from my part.
you quit the good things of the dracula fight... (be almost dying, no hearts... no sub weapon, no whip upgrades, and that dracula could kill you in 1 hit... )... i like more the way of the belmonts...
