Personally I use the 6mm (1/4 inch) mats. While they are a little heavier, I like that they lay flat without any fiddling around.

I used a similar product with 3/8 inch thickness. It was pretty tough to lay it all out, but eventually it turned out pretty well. No wrinkles at all.

Put in square snap together tiles made out of recycled tires in my gym about 3 years ago. Still looks great, no indentions from any of the equipment. Never worry about walking around in my bike cleats. Can’t damage the stuff yet it is very easy to cut to size when laying down.

Hey Taren. Loving the new content. Just an FYI, Not sure if you have a new camera or have changed the auto white balance settings. The white balance/brightness on the last two videos is constantly adjusting when you move your hands which makes a flickering effect on brighter surfaces (especially the white walls of the new pain cave) and it is quite hard to watch, it's distracting from your amazing content.
There's plenty of info about it online.
Good luck and keep up the amazing work

All depends on what you are wanting to do. Horse stall mats are $45 each... not super expensive for a very versatile flooring that allows for weight drop and higher impact workouts.

That's what I used. $45 for a 4x6 mat. The cheapest most durable option. It was a bit of work to get into place but I know the mats will not be moving.

1/2" 4x6 mats was the middle ground for me

Love seeing the pain cave coming together, but curious on not changing the name? Don't get me wrong, I am still getting used to not hearing "traniacs" on each video, but pain cave seemed to me to be a part of the trainiac mantra. Maybe can't get away from "no pain, no gain"

Curious to know if garage carpet would be a good option.

I just use horse stall matts. They’re cheap at tractor supply.

Are you still happy with this choice in flooring? I'm looking to upgrade my garage setup and will be putting down some flooring.

If budget is tight, then yes I recommend this flooring. If budget isn't a concern then 1/2" is more stable
