Does generic tape work good? If so, what brand do you use and where can you get it?

I got myself a IC bus like that, and I know you may not be able to do this for a while, but if I can maybe get the ID number for bus 91, I can make a "model replica" of it. The one I have is a white roof so it won't be 100% accurate, but still nice.
