@@mascentiph1274 same I was also in high school. It also brought in a new genre of metal for me, after this band I'd discovered amon amarth which are one of my favorite bands
New Album please 😞 Thats one of the Bands which got me into Metal and Doombound was the first CD ever I brought by my own money and also the Start of my own CD collection. This Band means a lot to me ❤
I discovered this band when I was in high school. Definitely the best band I ever heard. Hope to see them in America some day. If not, I'm going to Finland.
So one day I happen upon an Eluveitie video. Then I start digging and discover, Amon Amarth, Tyr, Myrkgrav, Heidevolk and now this band. Yeah, viking and folk metal is just frikkin' awesome!
This Battlelore song makes imagine elves, hobbits, dwarves, orcs, dragons, wizards, goblins, and others magical creatures in Middle-Earth. 🤘🎸🧝🏻♂️🐉🧙♂️🗡️🛡️
this guys are the best... the best female-male voices combination, the best music and composition, the best and most mature and respectful Tolkien-based lyrics...
Battlelore needs to reboot their music vids. It's been a decade or more, now we're on 4K resolutions, but man, when this came out back then, 480p was the best resolution lol. I freakin love this band and the world of Tolkien (RIP). I would love to see them on the stage again!
I gotta admit, half the fun with Battlelore is trying to figure out exactly what any given song is referring to within Lord of the Rings. They kick ass all the way around. Mad awesome band.
No matter what anyone says this is one of the best metal bands on the market to date and wish they would do a U.S. tour!!!! If I'm not mistaken (and usually I'm not) the man in the video is Radagast the brown!!
i think battlelore have definetely increased in popularity over the past few years, but boy have they sunk. their first album is so much better than anything they could ever produce now.
i am glad you get to listen to such music this band is From Finnland they sing mostly Tolkien based music much like Englands Led Zeppelin. keep listening this music and you will change as a person ( in a good way) you will learn the greatest stories and the greatest languages on earth from them.
Battlelore, Wind Rose, Finntroll, and Blind Guardian are like a bunch of metal bands that were inspired by fantasy, myths and fairy tales! WOAH!!!!! 🤘🎸🧝🏻♂️ 🏰✨
@EdwinMarc Germany also has a hell of a lot. I'd say Germany has a wider spread across the different sub-genres too. Mind you, it is the most populated country in Western Europe, so I guess you could say that is proportionate.
@crossraven It's metal. What more do you need ? If you focus on giving their music a name, you won't coompletely enjoy it. Call it "Battlelore", put the sound on eleven and rock your neighbour's ears out !
@crossraven The poster I received when I ordered The Last Alliance says "Epic Fantasy Metal from Finland", but I've noticed they're also listed as Folk/Symphonic Metal, and even "Tolkien metal" lol.
ooohhh yeah.... i just discovered this band, and honestly, was not the surprised they're from finland... i just sighed and thought 'another for my list of awesome finnish metal...' :P
@DarkLordNagash Finally, someone I could agree with! Forget all the classifications and shit, such as electro/goth/pagan and I don't know which else combination metal. Metal is metal, and may it live forever!
Most of them come from europe, but not all! Lori Lewis from "Aesma Daeva" is from united states and she is an extremely amazing singer, she´s and awesome soprano! The video and song are amazing!battlelore is great!
@Mbeluba you know most of these bandss come from countries where there is mostly forest right? Obviously many of them have spent many a night in an evil forest.
I think the girl singer is very good and fits the theme well the video is well produced and fits the music well. At lest we can see and here them in good quality.
@IBiteTheHandThatFed I agree with you, Usually in metal the more brutal the better. I do like the really extreme metal genres. But bands like these guys make a refreshing change to the generic grinding brutality. Don't get me wrong, I love the brutal shit like Dying Fetus, Behemoth, Aeon, etc... but I do like bands like these who stand out without being brutal
@randomgai1234 I don't know I think his growls are quite definitive and add an authentic Lord of the rings feel where I think some other growlers would loose the whole theme, in a sense.
ok guys, metalheads everywhere, we are not those fangirls who only chase after the next big thing, so why keep comparing one band with another? You love BattleLore, good. You love Nightwish, awesome. enjoy both of them, why chose one when you have have it all?
@Frater666777 Yeah, she's really good-looking. I know she's from Indonesia, but isn't she, ethnically-speaking, finnish? Great song! Good video. Loving the guy's clean singing.
The female vocalist, can't remember her name, Kaisa, I think, is an original member. I have all their albums except for Third Age of the Sun. I initially picked up Battlelore's albums because of the Lord of the Rings lyrical themes. I heavily prefer metal bands who use heavy fantasy lyrical themes, such as Ronnie James Dio, (who first introduced me to fantasy metal), Rhapsody of Fire, Immortal, TYR, Manowar, Magica, Warlock, even Blackmore's Night (they aren't metal, but still a favorite).
god damn, getting goosebumps of beautiful song, music and a lovely looking girl, though the last mentioned doesn't have anything to do with the greatness of this piece
@LadyMETALHead69 Are you familiar with Tomi Joutsen of Amorphis, often cited as both one of the most gifted vocalists (and one of the sexiest). In any case Amorphis is a very unfairly neglected band and really needs more appreciation of its incredible talents.
@Ace2021 Is the name really important ? I just call it metal, that's enough ti enjoy the music ^^. They mixed even more genres than Children Of Bodom... and I love this band.
I agree that Theatre of Tragedy is truly outstanding. I think Elis yet another band that is better than Nightwish...this song here I cannot listen to enough...Hails to Battlelore
Tolkien did not create Middle Earth! Its just a translation from the Norse word Midgaard! And those are not necessarily Uruk-Hai screams, its just a singing technic called growling! The music is great by the way, I will get this album next time I go to the music store!
On my page some guy left a comment saying that Amon Amarth came before any other American death metal band. Just had to say that to give everyone a laugh.
Over a decade later this song this is just as good as when I first heard it
I first discovered them in highschool and still pop in on this song to this day.
@@mascentiph1274 same I was also in high school. It also brought in a new genre of metal for me, after this band I'd discovered amon amarth which are one of my favorite bands

Such an underrated but damn good band! I hope they'll get there big break to the top some day.

Beautiful clip for a beautiful song. Battlelore has undoubtely its soul. A very nice band.
I agree! That was the first time that I've heard him actually sing, and I was surprised as well. The fact that it sounded good astounded me further.
This song is absolutely amazing, possibly the best on the album.

It’s sounds like epic fantasy metal to me! IT’S TOTALLY AWESOME, I LOVE IT, WOAH!!!!! 🤘🎸🧝🏻♂️🗡️
magical, folk, powerfull .....
Excellent !
Wicked Song!!! I LOVE battlelore!
Its a little different from B standard. B standard is BEADF#B, they play in BEADGB. And no I do not think there are any tabs yet for this song.
Awesome song. and the Video is good as always. :)
Confirmed to support Finntroll on UK tour :D
Well can't wait now
The drums at the beginning AWESOME. BATTLELORE RULES.
I for one love listening to fake music. Its non-existent motives and phrases beautifully accent negative space throughout the music. :D

I'll be completely honest. I came into this video expecting a completely crappy song. I was completely proven wrong! I LOVE this band now, lol
I think Kaisa has one of the best damn voices in music.

The male singer actually has a cool voice too. It doesn't wuss it up.

the female singer that is that kaisa .
and good band and good song.
i just discovered this song
@jkats14 but i think that it´s special for this band the mixture between clear female voice and strong and (very nice and good) growls :)
If I had to take a guess I'd say that's Radagast the Brown. Which is just awesome :) yes obscure LOTR reference!
Great album!!
There is one thing greater than an immortal; An amortal.
@Gaurnor And don't forget to get bumps from every picture or video featuring Kaisa :p ^^

And I got them all to sign it. =]
Is that about Radagast the brown he was a master of birds and it said must i call the lords of the sky
@Nicko93 Haha yeah I know. Ensiferum, Tyr, Wintersun, Agalloch...
@nightwish568 you are absolutly right.
