Thanks for sharing. I'm glad my three favourites came up today - Gaia, Winter's Gift and Chromatic Dragon. I adore those and they are really coming on so well. Looking forward to how your stitchy plans play out - whatever you stitch, it's always lovely to see 🙂
Thank you for another lovely video. So nice to see your WIPs. I am really into seasonal stitching at the moment so look forward to seeing your wintery WIPs next time.
My goodness…I’ve been so excited about being selected winner that I forgot to post my comment! Your squirrel piece is so cute, even if he does remind me of the pesky one always raiding my bird feeder!! Winters’s Gift is just beautiful & your progress amazing, but I have a question… I notice you mostly frame your pieces under glass…can that be done with all the beading? Of all the flosstubes I’ve watched, yours are the best & most fun. Your devoted subscriber, Dianne
Hi Kat, as usual, I'll have to watch this in instalments. The owl and squirrel are gorgeous. I realise this isn't a fashion parade, but I love your top/jumper! Unfortunately, it's a 35°C day here today, so I'm feeling a little warm just looking at it, but it looks super cosy for winter! (And I love the colour)
That jumper is a fave of mine...I love the balloon sleeves and colour too! Definitely not for a 35 degree day! But it was around -1 and snowing as I was filming this video ❄️ I totally forgot to mention it in the video. Looking forward to FFOing the owl and squirrel so I can display them 😄
It was so nice to finish the owl, and it's making me want to do more small pieces as they are really satisfying! I was so excited to finish the arctic fox...but I do think backstitch will really bring it to life 😄
I did hear and the lava got right up to the Blue Lagoon 😱 Lots of love on here for the owl, and it will be great to FFO it...maybe for the next video?!
Your Autumn owl is so cute, love him. All the WIPS are looking amazing, love seeing how they are progressing. I like the idea that you designate days for certain projects, it breaks it up of not doing the same one all the time. I’m doing a winter one ate moment and don’t think it’s going to be finished by end of the winter. I’m going to do some seasonal stitching next year in between all of my other crafting and pick it back up later in the year, if it is not finished. Congratulations Diane. Congratulations Kat on nearly reaching 8000 subscribers. Liking the look of the tiny towns, not too long of a project to do. I love the colours to do the Quaker, think it will look really nice for it. Happy stitching and look forward to the next FlossTube. X
Thanks so much Karen for your lovely comment 😊🩷 Yes, I do find having some kind of structure to what I stitch when is helpful, and it stops me spending ages trying to decide what to stitch each day! I can always change my plans if I feel like doing something different or another WIP is calling to me. I really would like to choose more smaller projects for next year as I feel like it;s been a bit too weighted towards larger ones this year. The Tiny Towns will be perfect for that, and I love the idea of having a whole load of them so can maybe have a seasonal one on display at any time and just change them up through the year.
All your work is lovely, Kat, but I think the Pigeon Coop Owl is absolutely charming! I discovered his book a couple of months ago and I want to stitch every chart in it. I'm still trying to finish a chart that I meant to be a birthday present in October so it's a good thing we have another gift-giving occasion coming up next month. Then I'll start MFE's small "Never Laugh at Dragons" with hopes of finishing it before the end of the Year of the Dragon. Plus I'm working on a knitted blanket to reduce some stash. That one's a corner-to-corner knit and I'm telling myself if I can just get the width to the right size I can... do something else for awhile.
Thanks so much Barbara 😊 I feel the same about the Pigeon Coop book...although maybe not the creepy crawlies! It sounds like you have lots of lovely stitchy plans and projects to work on 🪡😄🩷
I am far too tired to leave a detailed comment this week, but always fun to watch these! I’ve been looking at those Primrose Cottage Quaker patterns too, I’ll be curious to see how yours goes.
Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment Katherine, even when you are tired, and I do hope you feel brighter soon 🩷 I am not planning on starting the PC quaker until Spring but I'm also curious to see how I feel about it!
Great video. I have Spring Quaker, i have also been looking at possibly using Amethyst by CGT😂...I haven't stitched a quaker yet either. Love the sparkly evenweave ❤
Ah, great minds think alike?! That's so interesting that we both gravitated towards this as a first quaker! I am planning to start in it Spring...but that might be January if I can't resist diving in 😂
Thanks Denise 😊 You haven't missed anything because the coffee and chat's aren't live so it's just a case of watch when you can 😄 I am loving the growing community on Patreon and thank you for being part of it 😄
Ooh... yes, you will want to know what I'm stitching on. 🥁🥁🥁 The Amazing Animal Kingdom CE and I'm having a blast. Not sure it was you that enabled me, but if you want, take the credits for it. Enjoy your winter stitches 🌷🇳🇱🪡
I very much did want to know that...and yay!!!! I'm very happy for that whether it was influenced by me or not because it's so stunning and so much fun to stitch 🪡😄
I always love to see your projects Kat and enjoy your FlossTube videos very much. But you had me doing a double take when you were describing the mountains on the Arctic animals SAL. WHAT kind of mountains? Your accent threw me off.😄 Here in BC our glaciers ( pronounced GLAY-sher ) are up in the high mountains.
OMG tha owl is awesome!! All the progress you have made love it all. Question for you do you have a tutorial on blank canvas. I see all your projects are not printed.
Thank you ☺️ I'm hoping you'll find the answer to your question in my reply to your comment on my previous video but let me know if you need any more info 😄🩷
I am stitching 1 over 1. Back when I did my first full coverage on 25 count I tested a patch of 2 over 1 and 1 over 1, and although the coverage is nicer with 2 strands, it was going to drive me crazy with how much more difficult it was to stitch because it's so super dense and tricky to get the needle through holes with thread already in them. So I went for 1 over 1 and am happy with the result. I did hear a neat idea a few weeks back that if you are concerned that the coverage might be less good in dark sections, then you can use 1 strand but do the bottom arm of the crosses twice so that it has 2 strands, and then just do 1 single pass on the top arm. I haven't tried it out, but it sounded very interesting and could be a great option. Whatever you choose I hope you have a fab time stitching this 🪡😄
I very nearly did Festive Forest, but in the end I went for the Gingerbread house and Woodland star pillow. I can't wait to start some stitching on them but haven't quite found the time yet! You are doing well though 🪡😄
Oh goodie, another wip from the Kat! Love the Lemons, my favorite one to work on.
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad my three favourites came up today - Gaia, Winter's Gift and Chromatic Dragon. I adore those and they are really coming on so well. Looking forward to how your stitchy plans play out - whatever you stitch, it's always lovely to see 🙂
Thank you, and I'm glad I had your favourites on show this time 😊
Snow even weave is one of my absolute fave fabrics I literally stitch everything on it 😆
I can see why; it's really pretty!
Lovely video Kat. I love your finishing and all the WIPs xx
Thanks Lynsey, and it's always such a joy to share it all 😊
Thank you for another lovely video. So nice to see your WIPs. I am really into seasonal stitching at the moment so look forward to seeing your wintery WIPs next time.
Thanks Sue 😊 I am really looking forward to a whole month of seasonal stitching!
we all have bigger plans than we can handle.... while watching I have been stitching Moths and the moon by tiny modernist
Yup, I think having more plans than we can handle is a very stitcher thing 😂
I do love Tiny Modernist patterns 😄
Such exciting progress-fantastic job!
Thanks so much; it does feel like my needle is on fire at the moment!

Thanks so much, and I really am constantly amazed by how many lovely stitchers I've been able to connect with...including your lovely self 😄

Thank you 😊
I love the owl finish! So cute. And the arctic fox in winters gift is stunning! I absolutely love that piece!

Did you hear that the volcano near Iceland's capital erupted again? So glad you're home safe. I love that owl. Actually, I love all your pieces.

My accent seems to cause a lot of amusement in my videos, which is no bad thing! Probably won't be the last time either 😂

On your gorgeous dragon are you doing 2 over 1 or 1 over 1. I just bought the pattern and can’t wait to start!

@@catkinandlillieThank you! That is so helpful! I have learned so much from you!! ❤
Which classes are you doing at Jingle Ball? I’m stitching away on Festive Forest. Finally at 70% on that and need to crack on with the Woodland Star.
I very nearly did Festive Forest, but in the end I went for the Gingerbread house and Woodland star pillow. I can't wait to start some stitching on them but haven't quite found the time yet! You are doing well though 🪡😄
