For example, Mayor Isko is the owner of an apartment building and these vendors are the possible/would be tenants of the building pero if they fail to follow the basic rules set, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the place, as the owner of the building I would kick them out kasi simpleng bagay di masunod. Para matuto din sila at malaman kung ano ba ang tama sa hindi.

Discipline and dignity comes from proper learning from the ancestors or educational system. @Shadow Hedgehog Not to mention their outdated laws on divorce, because it's meant to be "bound under God." Not saying that this concept is bad, but it's too evident that the population of this country doesn't live with their conscience intact with their Christian faith, and church-goers becoming only "Sunday-Christians." In a sense, it's sad to say that I also believe the relationship between the religion and politics or the religion and people are controversial as you've said. It's almost better to turn into a secular nation, rather than marring the religion. I think one aspect that I've observed to elaborate this is that most Filipinos who approach Christianity, or a religion in general, are egotistical, instead of dedicating to it as the method of 1. Practicality: to hone themselves--by de-stressing, finding hope, learning to become a bigger person, etc. 2. Faith: to understand what it means to dedicate to something despite the human imperfections. To point to the elephant in the room, I'd say this also shows how much this population is lacking in the understanding of dedication, hence(edited) they're too used to making a scapegoat in their love life, being on time, perfecting a skill, keeping political promises, list goes on.

@@raisou9750 direct democracy talag sila sa ancient greece and mga tao doon if tama ako nagiisip at nagsusuggest talaga ng ideas for better living when meeting up sa agora (dko maalala if yan tawag sa lugar) sa marketplace. You could probably feel or see sincerity of people who actually partake in making a change. Saatin kasi indirect so through representatives. Lahat tayo may ayaw at gusto pero since yung representative gumagalaw para sa atin, sa ayaw at sa gusto, law presumes that what they make or pursue is in the name of the people. I cannot blame Isko since his word as local chief exec is law more so his executions and implimentations therein. Pero since siya ang may say sa ganyan wala talaga magagawa taumbayan basta2 kung wala naman mali sa parte niya.
I understand your sentiment about democracy though. Pero democracy personally is not the root problem of us Filipinos but lack of education. Democracy is just the "tool" used to express one's guaranteed rights under our Art. 3 Sec. 4 in thr 1987 Consti. Ang masaklap kasi, express ng express karamihan pero walang substance expression nila edi napupunta sa wala ang demokrasya. I heard before nung college pako in our class na democracy is really good if the people themselves are good. Pero could you really expect a good exercise of expression under the name of democracy is alot of the people expressing themselves are not good per se? Di good dahil sa di academically abled, pero yung di good kasi di sila informed on such important things na iaambag nila sa society so and so. I feel your sentiment. Pero i think education really is the real issue kasi if educated ang pinoy, karamihan satin, at di yan about being an honor student or finishing degrees but rather being informed of proper conduct and selfless behavior, then from there i believe democracy for us could be better.
