Kick ass piece! Thanks for the introduction. I’m not usually a big fan of green dials, but this one is very clean looking. The white pops beautifully against it, too.
Damasko Lite. I dig it. And i wish more German brands would go with the "Herrgestelt in Deutschland" text. C'mon guys, be proud of your heritage. Meanwhile that lume. Killer.
Right! I would definitely take one of these over a damasko but that being said the case shape of the damasko are better. Like was one of the best parts undoubtedly. I don’t know if they do it on all the models but they have started adding the handmade in Germany text which is a nice touch
I own a traditional Type A pilot watch from Dekla that I purchased directly from the manufacturer in Germany earlier this year. Shortly after that purchase Dekla stopped making watches available to North American customers directly on their website and directed would be customers to their North American distributors. At the time I felt that was a shame since inserting a "middle man" in the purchase process not only significantly increased the retail price of Dekla watches but severely restricted the variety of custom choices available to a consumer. Happily, though, Dekla has recently reversed the policy and again supports direct purchase of their watches through their website. At the same time, Dekla's North American distributor has increased the variety of watches available through that channel. Prices are still higher through the distributor and the range of custom features are more restricted than purchasing directly from Dekla but some consumers may prefer to purchase from a North American firm and delivery may well be more prompt since purchases directly from Dekla involve building watches according to individual order specifications. In any event, my Dekla pilot watch is among my favorites. A bronze 40mm pilot watch with a sunray blue dial. Old radium indices and hands and the Dekla logo. All my options. It keeps excellent time, averaging about +5 seconds per day and draws numerous positive comments. All in all, I'd recommend the brand highly. My Dekla is among my favorite timepieces.
Dekla watches may be purchased directly from the manufacturer via their website or if one is in North America or Asia through a dealer shown on the Dekla website.
I have a Turbulenz v2 watch, the styling is sort of 60's graphic design/"space age", it's like nothing else I know of. The slight break between the two parts of the K is the way it's supposed to be, on the Turbulenz models.
Turbulenz has 4 dial variations, 2 of which are much more traditional flieger style. I really like the "space age" styling of this the v.2 -- Fortis, a Swiss brand has some similar models called 'Spacematic'.
Being one of the youngest watch brands that come out of Germany, I find Dekla is not yet matured in terms of design, compared to brands like Sinn or Damasko. I'm sure they make quality watches, but they need to work on their design language.

Great review. Good looking watch that I’ve never heard of. I wish is was a little smaller, like 38. The lume looks awesome.
Thanks! And ya had it been smaller I probably would’ve kept it. Really fun one.
Nice watch. I agree it brings lot of value imo and ETA/Sellita are relatively cheap to service. Lume is impressive.
Right, lots to like here
How did you request for the case to be brushed? Was it through watchbuys? did it cost any extra?
Purchased the dekla website directly I do believe it costed slightly extra

What's the appeal of wearing a watch so far down your wrist?
Just looks better to me
@@theknightswatch Each to their own I suppose 🥴
Really cool watch. Wish it had a bracelet.
Bracelet wouldn’t hurt!
Nice review. Where Can I buy this watch?

By dressing up the markers, Della lost the pilot identity, IMO.

Dekla also offers a pair of traditional "flieger" models in addition to the category of what Dekla calls "Tactical" watches reviewed here.
