- In this episode of What The Truck? we chat with Riley over at @hodsonmotors about his one-of-a-kind 1964 F250.
This 64' F250 is far from original with an F600 front end treatment, an F800 firetruck roof, a unibody big back window, custom made bed with widened & lengthened fenders rolling on 38" tires powered with a Ford Racing 460ci V8

I'm normally not a Ford guy, but I'd love to own that truck . Everything about the truck is so tasteful and the color is spot on . Very high quality build , bring it to SEMA !!
Bad ass for sure
I have an 08 Super Duty and I've always been a ford guy. This truck is simply breath taking! I hope mine ages well enough to restore one day.
This is the most BAD ASS truck I've ever seen!!
It is Truckin beautiful. I want one!
Harper 👋
I'm a chevy guy, but I can appreciate a well built Ford or Dodge, especially classics like this truck. Back then vehicles had such character to them. Nowa days everything tries to have that boring euro look to them and its started to trickle over to modern pickups.
It's amazing how all that stuff looks factory yet makes the truck literally look like it's on steroids at the same time!!!!💪😎👍
right
It’s amazing how so much custom work looks like it came from the factory like that. What a well executed build!
they did such a good job
My Brother.
@@FordEra Beautiful build! A great balance between retro and mod. Raised roof, MD F series fenders, widened bed and rear fenders... all subtle touches that look like the belong. One suggestion: take that forest surface badge off and clearcoat it... If you let it tarnish it will kinda disappear. I like the way it attracts attention as is!
I'd rather have that truck than anything built in the last 40 years. I'm so impressed with the color, stance custom but elegant! Simple but complex!! It is a work of art!! I love it!!!
That is one of the most beautiful trucks i have ever seen
I have seen this truck many times and never knew the bed was widened. So many cool features. And I'm glad he stayed gas powered on this one. Seems more correct for it.
Phillip 👋
I love how factory custom this truck is, one of my favorite builds on an older truck.
Mine too
Very nice a show stopper
I had a 64 F250 2wd about 35 years ago. It had a 429 in it, l kept the old split rim wheels on it. Let's just say, it surprised more than a few people at the stop light.
I have a 1973 f100 Forrest service truck, I have a 66 f100 lowrider ,I freaking love your truck.
That is totally badass I love it! Great color great stance. That would be a great truck to have no question...
sure would be
There is no doubt, this is the best lookin step/flareside in the bidness! So perfect in the width of the extension, that sounds bad, but widening out of the rear fenders! Good job guys, and the front bumper widening, rear bumper, power windows, AC, BOOOOOM! Ya Nailed it. Sweet! OH, don't call me! I can't afford it!!!
thats army "baby brother's pack wagon" i love it
Yes it is
I never believed in love at first sight, I do know! What an extraordinary truck! 🛻
haha
One beautiful beast!!
Stuff like this is why I’ll never just like one brand of vehicles there’s cool stuff in all the brands This is one cool pickup I’d be proud to own
dude agreed Ive had lots of trucks in my 61 years, currently Dodges, fords, and toyotas but Ive had mercedes unimogs...Nissans, pinzgauers I love old Iron!
@@deepbludude4697 Im born and raised in the West Virginia mtns and one of my favorite 🦄 unicorn of Trucks is a unimog with as many attachments as possible for it my town is a one stop light town and I could make a killing with it and have a truck I’d enjoy driving everyday to the local grill and grocery be perfect combo for me 😂

I freaking like this truck! This truck would be perfect for the shooting range, dunes, river and the apocalypse.
I love what you guys create with these awesome classic trucks.

Absolutely freakin gorgeous!!!
Amazing in all respects.
Man I love that interior
That's freaking beautiful
it sure is
@@FordEra hey bub how can I send you pictures of my truck ?
Turning radius a must for fighting forest fires
KICKASS TRUCK!!!
That is absolutely stunning!!!
Cote 👋
One of the best vehicle videos ever. Very down to earth by regular guys. The truck is amazing, love it, love the color too. Great job, thanks. RickGTI
Thank you, i appreciate that
It's like a Stomper toy I never had. Love this rig!
Sooo cool! In the 80's, a retired friend of mine had a '66 F350 dually 4x2. I just stared at that thing thinking, that cab and fenders would look so awesome on a 4x4. Wish I woulda had the bucks back then to do a project. Awesome looking ride my friend!
nice, yea that would be a good candidate
A work of art! Belongs ina museum
Damn that truck is amzing except the 460 mileage!!!
Beautiful retromod truck. Well done guys. This is the stuff us old guys want.
The truck is amazing, and I would love to have it out on my ranch. I would use it every single day! 👍
me too
That thing is a brute! Very cool.
Gawd! That's purdy!
Hell yeah Ford tough 💪
The custom work appears so subtle that the truck looks manufactured that way. I've driven Ford's all my life, i worked for a Ford auction for a few years so I guess Fords are seared in my DNA. This truck is very tastefully done, I would love to own it. Enjoy and nicely done👍💯
Man. That’s the best truck I wish I can afford.
Dope ass truck ,1 of a kind truck
yes sir
that truck is a hoss..total badass..
That's the apocalypse zombie crusher. awesomeness
Great flare side
I always called them step sides
Great ride Riley
That short wheelbase stance makes for a super capable 4x
Nice job
i always call them step sides but some dont like that i call it wrong lol
Stepside was Chevy's term for a narrowbed but it became a generic term by truck enthusiasts for narrowbeds from other manufacturers as well.
GMC called them fendersides, Ford, flaresides, and Dodge called them utilines.
I love this truck, this
is my favorite Ford
its up there for me too
Ken 😒
@@HannahRoot55 yes

I appreciate that!
Dream come true...! Tears falling 😢 😭
Amazing truck...! Congrats to the owner
That is a handsome ride. Nice work!
I love this truck.
the color is cool.
Where are you from ?🤔
Luv the older trucks. Today ones are freaking expensive and too complex to work on
agreed
Perfect. Perfect blend of Ford truck features. Well done, sir. Well done.
Chris 👋
I’m glad a guy your age has that truck . You did a nice job .
Awesome classic truck find
sure is
Hello Soloman thats a really cool truck. I had a 1964 F850 Super Duty, (the original super duty) tandem axle tractor. it had Bostrom seats but it didn't have the tall cab. and I bounced my head off the headliner quite a few times. It was a pretty cool old truck, it was a gas pot with a 534ci V8 and six speed automatic transmission. I had a 40' flatbed trailer for it, but the person I was going to contract it to went out of business so I sold it. this video brought back quite a few memories thanks brother.
glad to bring back some of those memories. sounds like a good truck
You had a 534.. or a 477. Ford didn't make a 572 unless you swapped in a stroker something else.
@@kblackav8or You are correct it was a 534 it's been a little while since I had the truck. and I'm starting to get old the memory is as good as it used to be. I corrected it in my comment.
Now THAT! is COOL!
Extremely bad ass
One of a kind 🛻
So nice and beefy, color is beautiful
Thats a bad ass truck
My favorite truck build I’ve seen thus far! Nice work!
Amazing truck.
beautiful truck l like that why factories don’t make trucks with real metal
Wow I’m loving that, wish I had a 100 grand to drop on a build for my 66.
Bad ass one of a kind truck. Subbed.
I bought a 1959 GMC 4WD (long bed) forest truck in Great Falls MT one time. Was my first 4WD. 292 CU In straight 6. Gobs of power. Really fun truck. I rebuilt the engine but that's all I knew how to do. This FORD is magic. Supper nice work. Great explanations. Thanks
Don Parker 👋
Incredibly beautiful truck!!!
Love the color
Great vision and beautiful execution of a custom build. A project that you can be really proud of. Love it.
I had a 65 Dodge W200 that was a short bed with 8 lug rims and 3/4 ton Stepside !
Sounds good 👌
That's the best looking yank truck I have seen you may not build the best car's in the world but no one comes close when it comes to trucks.
Taylor 👋😊
That thing is sweet!! I like the tall roof conversion.
me too, it fits this build perfectly
@@FordEra I am at a C10 show don't worry I won't cross to the Dark side 😂.
@@frankm8533 😂
WOW !! friggin WOW
Awesome job, guys. Fords have given me great service. There's a F250 from that vintage sitting out back on my ranch.
Kazynski 👋
That’s a awesome truck I’ll take it
I'm in love. This truck is beautiful
join the club we all are in love with the same woman, i mean truck haha
I'm not a Ford guy but that truck is badass!!
Great truck! I think that it truly is an F-250. I say that because you have a leaf spring suspension in the front. I had a 1966 F100 4x4 short wheelbase stepside. Mine had coil spring suspension in the front (same through 1979) and a single speed transfer case. You guys really did an EXCELLENT job on that resto.
Right on
SUPER COOL!!!! great job on all the custom work!
Tire 👋
Those vehicles you showcased are absolutely awesome wonderful craftsmanship craftsmanship and I love how he has them in those shelter autologic shelters those things are awesome and they are probably the sharpest trucks I've seen in a long time
Hey Toro 👋😎
I love the wide fenders on it. Looks similar to my 55 Chevy 2nd Series 6100 4x4.
Beautiful truck you did an incredible job.
Glad you like it!
Need to take the truck to SEMA ,very cool.
Hubbard 👋
Nice truck! Love the gauge cluster! And the whole truck.
Love that truck
Very nice job on that classic Ford truck. That part of Las Vegas looks like you're far from the city.
calico basin
That is an amazing looking truck
Sure is

Ray 👋
I think those door glass switches are cool. I seen a truck at the super nat’s in pigeon forge a couple of years ago that had those installed.
they are so trick
Outstanding build. All the mods look so factor. And that is a killer color
Awesome truck Nice to see it had some Ford ponies under the hood.
oh yes
Super Cool!
wow, amazing truck.
Great show. Love the truck and all the mods. I have a stock 66 long bed. It has the custom mustang seats and comet center console. Retired now, so think I will sell.
