A lot of love and dedication going into this one. Thanks to guys like you Ron and Joe, you guys are going to make this a good one for someone to enjoy again someday!
It's great to see Joe featured in the videos. I know he's not that fond of it, but when he explains things, he's very matter-of-fact and to the point. It's also great to see him use a pickup truck like a truck. Sanding down the legs and painting them, kinda like a workbench and paint booth combo. Problem was I had to try to explain to my boss why there was all this rust and paint over-spray in the back of his new truck! Joe! That was the wrong truck! I just parked it there so I could go eat at the restaurant near by! C'mon Joe. That wasn't right. You know how much trouble I got into? Just kidding. Great video, guys! Keep them coming!
Came out looking pretty nice! Originally I thought the title should have been "Ronnie's Revenge," but Joe did a commendable job! Thanks again for another great video!
Really interesting video. I bought a cocktail which is still on my things to do this which looks a bit like this one.... so this is a fascinating watch. The wooden top of mine is quite delaminated due to water ingress... a big challenge for me!
About to compliment Joe on his confidence in his spray bomb game before he taped up the coin mechs. 😁 I swear I'm going to have to stop in one of these days. It ain't like I pass close by twice a day going to and from work (Main St and Black St). Have to make sure I don't park near the paint booth though.
I have a PDF which you can use to have the original pattern printed on the glass plate. It looks quite a bit nicer with it and isn't particularly expensive to get done. I had the glass plane sent from the glazier to the printers and from them to me.
What you've done just in this one video is remarkable. I never played DKJ, but I grew up in that era and have seen others play it in my favorite arcades. I have an affinity for the Cocktail models. I really like Pacman and Ms Pacman, for example, and I think it will be fun watching you get this one running, too. When I'm having a bad day, your videos really help my mood! You should charge for therapy, haha. All good wishes.
Nice work. Looking good. Think the display is playing all the right pictures just not in the right order. If you get the reference 😛. Look forward to the next video. It was a great game. 👍
I feel like I'm watching an episode of "American Restoration..." So, the metal's not TOO FAR gone. I imagine a fraction of a millimeter was lost in rust but that cabinet is still strong.
@@LyonsArcade It'll outlast Battleship Texas and the Queen Mary for sure! The arcade cabinet may look rough at the beginning but it's gotten far more TLC in one hour than either of those ships have in decades!
Good start on a classic game. I have heard that RAM has a finite number of reads/writes. Perhaps that is why these are staring to fail after all this time.
Great job restoring that cabinet to almost original Joe. The only question I have is, does playing corny 80s porno music while painting put you in the zone? Lmbo😂
Man...if by some miracle this somehow finds someone who can help- I really need the plastic monitor bezel for my Donkey Kong, I've not been able to finish my restore because I have never been able to find a replacement. Been a decade now. If you can help me I'd be super grateful. Not even Mike's could find me one- and yeah they are a great group!
@@LyonsArcade comparably speaking your REPAIR videos are too long then. You should have put PART 1 of the repair not 39 minutes of sanding where the camera is fifty feet away.AMATEUR. Moron
Ron's gettin' back at ya for all those fix-it lists you leave him... 🤣
Ronnie getting back at you for all those "It's Broke" notes :P
Looks Great!!! Salute to Mike's Arcade, he sounds like a classy dude.
He is, makes good parts too.

Much better, another one rescued from the rust.
It's nice to see that the monitors get new caps, that is the kind of attention to detail that makes for a job well done.

Ah, my favorite arcade game of all time from the golden age...
It's a keeper!
Hey Joe...I bet it has a note in it telling you EXACTLY what's wrong with it....
IT'S BROKE!
Great restore!! I would have stopped at "It's Broke" keep up the great works
Great work as usual - looking forward to the next part.
Crome plating is a pain. Good choice with the paint.
Great budget resto job.

Much improved!!!!
Ah, a Joey centric restore video. Gotta love it! Ron, I think you need to start a new channel. Something along the lines of “Ronnie’s Clocks N Stuff”
If I do that I get two views

It'll outlast all of us now :)

@33:10 Glad you raised that.... I was wondering why you didn't chrome the legs?
Costs a fortune, takes forever
Lol !
Insane work, you guys are the best
Wow it's Joe! I thought Ron was Joe for years.
Great work so far, interesting project, guys! KUDOS!
I have one of these in my garage that I bought 25 years ago fro 20 dollars. Needs some tlc tho. Would love to get it restored one day.
Looks good! Try 2114 RAM at 2P on the video board
I never seen a Nintendo cocktail arcade cabinet
You have now! Thanks for watching!

I actually prefer the painted legs, Chrome is so 1982
i can still smell the Pizza Hut on that game
Lookin good guys 👍. Is that a rare one ?When it’s all fixed what will be the price ?
Its not all that rare, We are going to list it for $1499 all fixed up and working
Wow horizontal donkey Kong jr.
Hey Joe!! Ron, you sound a" lil' topped up" brother.
Hey Jason!
Very nice

Uh... It's broke. 😒
Looks more like a missing address line - probably a bad IC socket.
That would be negative :)
memory rom issues its either in the wrong spot or bad
It’s broke.
Yodelayheehoo
Your supposed to fix it.
It's BROKE.
Nice millennial pause the beginning of the video mate
Oh how cute, the Zoomers have invented a new phrase again!
Spray paints it thats all!!NO REPAIR
You seem very upset, we repaired the monitor didn't we? Painting something isn't repairing it? Sanding something isn't repairing it? Moron
