Ha, wasn't looking at the screen when that crazy sweeping started happening, thought to myself, "Jesus Christ, there's no hope for the rest of us if Bea is now adding that level of sweeping chops to his arsenal of already massive chops!" Nope, luckily it turns out it was just Joss being a freak of nature like normal.
Maybe the best Peavey with modern features. You kids have never plugged into a USA built XXX or JSX head unboosted running 6L6's. Both running through the right cab do sound way more aggressive and brutal over any 5150... I've owned them all. The XXX head is still the meanest in your face, violent sounding Peavey ever made. And no 5150 from Peavey or EVH has ever sounded meaner, un boosted.
I’ve just bought this amp after 20 years gigging a 5150. I’m pretty set in my ways (channel 1 gain pot got smashed off 15 years ago ) but the 5150 blew up so I listened to this demo and pressed buy after the clean channel bit! So far I tried the 60 watt setting and that got switched off as soon as the drums sparked up. Back to 120 watts like I’m used to . The clean channel is so clean I can’t control it yet , not in a bad way sounds incredible just 120watts with no clipping has a Hugh variation in volume at the touch of a pick. My best crunch sound (comparable to my 5150 crunch sound ) Is actually channel 1 dialled up on the gain , sounds awesome (like on this video). The crunch channel is giving me grief at the mo a bit too muddy for me , needs more work. The lead channel is everything and loads more than the 5150. clearer (notes jump out at you) when needed and more brutal on power chords etc. Then if you really want the band to pay attention hit the boost button haha. So thanks for the awesome demo but don’t do any more cause I’m skint now!
Find me a lunch box with a noise gate, overdrive, 9v power supply, clean boost, 3 channels, cab sim, dual eq and 2 effects loops. You would have to compromise to reduce it to a lunchbox.
This has to be the best demo of this amp I've seen. Love the edits. Now I'm a total gear head with serious GAS problem, & some how I had never heard of this amp unit this week!! WTF!!!! Now I see it demo'd on all my fav guitar god YT channels all of a sudden? 🤣🤣
Holy s*** Rabea I heard that guitar just a Rockin and seen that fro just a slamming and it took me about .2 seconds to hit liked video. Some serious jamming bro👍was up
I remember first seeing that guitar in action live at the Whisky a go go while you were on the Chapman west coast tour. It sounded massive through your kraken rig and a new level of massive through this Invective. Killer as always Rabea!
Great guitar playing, Rabea. Very fresh and tasteful. I watched you playing from the other store channel, and then I stumbled upon this channel, and wow! With greetings from L.A.
It's awesome seeing you guys geek out over guitar stuff, I'm just getting into playing and I'm loving it so much and seeing stuff like this makes me even more passionate about it!
This is the best this amp has sounded on youtube. I was convinced it was dead sounding but your video totally changed my opinion. I'm going to have to check this out. Thanks.
Now that you mention the GigRig, a tour of your pedalboard(s) would be most interesting! Nice to see Joss and yourself work together, you two were always on it for (modern) metal demos at Andertons. Rob can do metal but his style is less my bag.
Dang Bea !!! Seems like every time I wat h your vids, your playing has improved. Not that it needs too. Your definitely at a different level then you were a couple years ago. Keep up the good work my brother !!!
Loved that you guys did a combination of old school riffage, single note double pick shredding, sweeping, sustained chords, chugging, and a little bit of djenting. Great demo that doesn't sound like a wank-fest. Just two guys going through different styles and getting into the amp. Can tell you guys love it!
woww that amp z MONSTER, but even more killer was that "riff n shred" chemistry between bea n joss, honestly that alone was even better than the amp itself
And Danny Partridge on the right playing Miss Piggie! This is an EXCELLENT review/demo of this amp which I think may be dumping some sheckles on really soon. Would have been a super excellent review if you had the invective cab mic'd up. Rabea love the heaviness of this and a lot of your other review/demos. You generate some great tones in your playing! That Baritone guitar is awesome!
Oh for sure if you can adjust while someone else's playing you can do in 1 minute what takes you all day ... And The way you love what you're doing ,,, and getting into it ,,, man I know ,,, it only makes it sound better ... Both you guys ,,, are shredding ,,, chug ,,, Masters !!!
Just remember kids unless you want surgery like Dave Mustaine and many others...its healthier to shake your ass rather than your head...be aware is all i am saying....aside from that great demo guys as always..
Finally got me a 6505+ and love it, now I watch this video and I want this amp now lol. Rabea you really impress, you cover a lot of ground with your playing.
The low end on that thing sounds angry. It's like that amp feels something wrong with the relationship and the only relief it gets is from giving people really difficult bowel movements. Then I saw the footswitch and realized, "this amp remembers..." Hearing it clean was a welcome relief. I'll have to clear my head and come back to that intro again later. That was really something.
Goddamn that's one bad ass amp!! I've always loved Peavey but that amp definitely surpasses all others. That clean channel is amazing and obviously the gain is out of this world. You guys did an awesome job demoing this amp! I gotta have one of those bad mofos
I will own one of these. The thing is I'm not gigging much anymore and most of my guitar playing is solo recording stuff at home, and they just released the 20 watt mini head version of this, or at least it's available for pre-order. But I'm guilty of being a guitar player where I always want the bigger version of things, whether it's a 4x12 vs 2x12...100w versus 50w, you get the idea. So, tough choice. Honestly the mini version of this is packed with features as well. You get the built in boost circuit, you get the built in gate, you get MSDI simulated output which is a great feature, and you get clean/lead channels but it's effectively a 4 channel amp due to the boost and tight switches. And you get all of that for $700. That's a really tempting package to pull the trigger on.
I was so confused. I was listening/not watching at work... and thought "Wow this intro really doesn't sound like typical Rabeard." I finally glance at my phone and see Joss playing... that explains it I thought. Now, here I am watching it again now that I'm home and it was in fact Rabeard playing in the intro, aside from the soloy bits by Joss. Nice jobs guys. Y'all have to collab more often.
Also, the Fathom has a special mode in it which turns it into a delay combined with the plate (I believe) reverb. I don't remember if you mentioned it in your review of the Fathom or not, but figured I'd mentioned it for any other Fathom owners who aren't aware. Details on Reddit: /r/guitarpedals/comments/88d8n4/walrus_audio_fathom_hidden_delay_algorithm/
Haha.. Such an appropriate into to the video. No nonsense, straight to the point with true enjoyment and some serious headbanging. Excellent video as alway man! One of my favorites for sure!
I just send my piezo out to a TC Electronic Body Rez and D.I. box to PA. I have never found a reason to want to blend the mag and piezo to a guitar amp. I love Music Man Petrucci 7 strings, wish they would add piezo to Sterling versions or produce a less expensive wood version of the Musicman JP 7 strings priced in between the Musicman and Sterling's. I don't want to play 7 strings that are so expensive live at clubs. I do think this amp is great with, the out of the box features. Great job on this video.
Im guessing Misha liked the functionality of the built in screamer circuit and 9 volt out of the Driftwood mini nightmare he incorporated it into his own signature model head. If this amp had built in tuner, delay and reverb I think you would have the ultimate practical amplifier. Also if you could retain all of its features plus the ones I just mentioned and put them into a smaller form factor head like the MH heads then that (I think), would fly off the shelves. One lightweight amp, no add ons required. Literally plug in, get your tones and go. But for now the closest we get is the Black Spirit 200. Which I’m really keen to check out. Oh and monster playing all round 😳
Yup. Sounds like my 5150 block letter lol with an exceptionally better clean channel. Maybe the lows are a bit tighter, it's hard to tell with youtube and all that but yeah...the very first impression I got was it had that iconic 5150 grind and punch. Still a very interesting amp though. I'd love to play one through a cabinet to know if it's different enough from my regular 5150 to make me consider purchasing it. My block letter is really the only tube head I play anymore since I got my Kemper.
This demo rules. Rabea you are amazing!
Ah dude, thank you so much!
Thanks for making such a killer amp dude! Hopefully one day we’ll meet in person hahaha
Side project plz?
Praise from Caesar
Did anyone else hear Joey Diaz yelling “oh shit!” in their head when reading this?
Thanks for this amp Misha! It is sooo fucking awesome!!
OMG! The song at the beginning!! Just WOW
That is the pinnacle of high gain amplifiers imo.
Now i want to hear an album of just these two playing clean guitar with loads of delay and reverb!
Same here. Although, Bea definitely been improving over the last few years.
I even think that he could easily pull some sweeping off but he just doesn’t cause he isn’t into it personally
Best modern riffer* + best soloist + best Peavey = best brutal demo song!!!
*with Pete Cotrell and Ola.
I'd put Josh Middleton in the best riffer category, dude writes ridiculous riffs
@@oisinmcphillips2090 yeah! + Andy James on soloist.
Stevie T is a decent player too fam
@@RudyAyoub and you too! 😉

Holly shit, misha's sound with your feel and playing is so amazing, would like that every day!
I’ve just bought this amp after 20 years gigging a 5150.

I did the same... before I saw your comment... that clean set up, plus the board , plug in power for ft effects, boosted solo? come on!
Crushing tone and awesome playing buddy!!
Thanks bro! Hope all is well
I missed that you wrote songs for reviews. Badass as usual!
Grinding Gears Vol 2 PLEASE featuring this amazing, crushing beast of a song. HOLY CRAP love your style.
Bearded Drummer Dude yessssssss
Really like the two of you doing all these vids together recently. 🤘
Pretty funny Joss’s guitar matches the angle and color of the neon one behind him 😂
Not gonna lie if these two started a band.
I’d be more than ok with that 😳😊
Sweet mother of Jesus, brutal doesn’t even describe it!
Thats one hella juicy opening riff
Those are Walrus Audio pedals for those wondering like I was. One is the ARP-87 Multi-Function Delay and the other is Fathom Multi-Function Reverb.
Beast of an amp! Wish they did a lunchbox version of it.
That would be sick!
Find me a lunch box with a noise gate, overdrive, 9v power supply, clean boost, 3 channels, cab sim, dual eq and 2 effects loops. You would have to compromise to reduce it to a lunchbox.
a... large lunchbox
@@n1w4 so the exact same size it is now with a handle on the top? It likely can't get much smaller.
lunch and dinner box then

Your demo tracks alone are worth clicking like. Thanks for being you Bea!
Man! You guys are a blast to watch. It's really cool watching you guys just hang out and riff.
Holy s*** Rabea I heard that guitar just a Rockin and seen that fro just a slamming and it took me about .2 seconds to hit liked video. Some serious jamming bro👍was up

Rabea is amazing. And love the team up with joss he is a savage. Seems like everything Misha mansoor touches lately turns to gold.
Great guitar playing, Rabea. Very fresh and tasteful. I watched you playing from the other store channel, and then I stumbled upon this channel, and wow! With greetings from L.A.
That clean sound has the attack response of an acoustic amp... sounds so massive for ambience
Next guitar goal then....
Running a piezo pickup into an electric guitar amp will not make said amp respond like an acoustic amp.
IABSOLUTELY LOVE THE FACT THAT DRUMS ARE INCLUDED. MAKES GIGGING AS A SOLO METAL ACT SOOOO MUCH BETTER!
That breakdown at the end is sick dude! Amazing as always
The clarity of notes on the Kiesel!
It's awesome seeing you guys geek out over guitar stuff, I'm just getting into playing and I'm loving it so much and seeing stuff like this makes me even more passionate about it!

Dang Bea !!! Seems like every time I wat h your vids, your playing has improved. Not that it needs too. Your definitely at a different level then you were a couple years ago. Keep up the good work my brother !!!
This demo was the decider for me getting one!. Those cleans and the midi presets were the deal sealer.
Man alive!!! One of the best demos I've ever seen! First time I've genuinely felt like I want to go and buy one. Just got to win the lottery......
This is the best demo I’ve heard for this amp so far. Thank you!
Holy shit we need an album of these jams.
Permanent hard on right now.

woww that amp z MONSTER, but even more killer was that "riff n shred" chemistry between bea n joss, honestly that alone was even better than the amp itself
The song in the beginning had a Keith merrow distopia vibe to it. Love it!
OK holy crap! I knew Joss was fast, but geez. Why are these two not massively famous?
And Danny Partridge on the right playing Miss Piggie! This is an EXCELLENT review/demo of this amp which I think may be dumping some sheckles on really soon. Would have been a super excellent review if you had the invective cab mic'd up. Rabea love the heaviness of this and a lot of your other review/demos. You generate some great tones in your playing! Its times like these. Im so glad i invested in my headphones. That low end...my god. I need a baritone.
How did you two achieved such a awesome ambient sound...... I mean I need proper explanation of the setting in both pedals pleaseeeeeee
DUDE THAT INTRO PLAYING JUST MELTED MY FACE!!!! THAT WAS SOOO AWESOME!!!! JUST FACE METLING SHRED!!!!
Dont really follow this dude, but every video I come across he's freakin killin it.
Had to watch the entire video and then immediately jump back to the beginning and rewatch/listen to the intro song!
Hands down my favorite review of any musical gear I’ve ever seen. Well done, guys. Excellent amp as well.
Congratz on 200k! You are an absolute riff machine!
Just remember kids unless you want surgery like Dave Mustaine and many others...its healthier to shake your ass rather than your head...be aware is all i am saying....aside from that great demo guys as always..

Wow....wow. Awesome playing through an awesome amp. Nice job (d)gents!
I have watched this video so many times! Love the intro, I am seriously considering buying this amp.
The like brotherhood of guitar really epic between you dudes, get ya pull!!!! awesome video great demo
Bea and Joss well done , immense tones & playing ! Great new head Awesome demo thanks
Finally got me a 6505+ and love it, now I watch this video and I want this amp now lol. Rabea you really impress, you cover a lot of ground with your playing.
I dunno if its my amp or cab but i gotta eq my 6505mh and drop the bass and low mids way down, even though the amp bass needs to be at 12:00
Even just hearing the tones through laptop speakers I could literally feel the ballsy phat tones ! Immense playing both of you.
Love to see Kiesel getting some love across the pond! Killer Peavey amp tones....
The lows in this recording in clean, even with desk tops is crazy good. So I know have this amp waiting/sitting in the on the back ordered cab LOL.
24:40 that riff sold this god damned amp
The audio quality on this video was stupendous.
literally jumped when the video started. 10/10 best intro.
Goddamn that's one bad ass amp!! I've always loved Peavey but that amp definitely surpasses all others. That clean channel is amazing and obviously the gain is out of this world. You guys did an awesome job demoing this amp! I gotta have one of those bad mofos

I think I’m in love with this amp
Loving these Bea ‘n’ Joss demos, keep ‘em coming lads!
awww come on you two do an album together, both your styles are awesome...
Damn that’s a beast of an amp! And that Baritone sounds huge!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sweet baby Jesus! What a versatile & well thought out high gain amp.
Id love to see more of you two together!
You two gentlemen plus that amp and guitars.... pure eargasm for the entirety of 37:22minutes.
PS, Joss... you need to do more Barry!
Man, that is a fat bass tone you got going there.
Darkglass Electronics FTW 🙌🙌🙌
@@RabeaMassaad You're preaching to the choir. I already have a B7K Ultra :D Still, it's pretty massive.

You guys are great together, loved it! We want more Joss and Bea! yeah!
Jesus Christ that intro riff melted my face.

You guys should do more videos together! I haven't been that entertained for a very long time!! Thumbs up 👍
That was brilliant playing guys loved it. The amp is everything im looking for
Sounds insane. I was laughing along with you after you switched to the lead channel and Joss let rip. Brilliant stuff.
Best review of this amp on UA-cam! Thanks!
great demo! great playing guys!
By far on two different channels the best amp I've heard
Incredible amp, incredible man 👍🏻. Got the mh and an Headrush Pedalboard. Pedalboard in the fx loop or in front in?
I have the little brother to this amp and it’s freaking brutal!!

Joss is a beast and the invictive is the best amp on the market and now a 20 watt version

finally a more in depth demo of the amp!
