Can anyone do MBA after 6 year gap. I worked for 2 year then I prepared for UPSC and have not been able to qualified so have wasted 6 year. I'm already 31 and doesn't know what to do. Feeling lost.
Yes. There is no age limit for MBA in most of the good colleges. All you need to do is crack CAT and few other top exams and have a very good justification for the gap of 6 years..as in what were the learnings in those 6 years and how will you connect the dots from your past to your future after MBA
Absolutely. Its always better to be brutally honest during the interview and to play on your strengths. However we received a few queries from the aspirants about the scope of bluffing in the interview and making it through. Hence this question :)
Hy I'm in 2nd yr of bsc mlt from top medical college and wanted to persue mba . I'm little confused between basic mba and health and management mba. which i should choose
MBA in Healthcare management is more suited for your profile and it will be easy to justify in the interview on why you want to pursue MBA. However, this decision should purely be taken from an interest point of view - what do you actually want to do? Opportunities will be there in General MBA as well. Companies like Dr Reddys, Thyrocare etc will prefer candidates like you while hiring. There are medical professionals who do general MBA and get placed in fields not related to medical science. So its purely your choice.
I have a question sir.... What is the value of MBA degree from abroad then coming back to india ? Would i get good package? What's your opinion? Or should i strt preparing for competitive exams , it will take me 1.5 year of preparation now cuz i naver gave any competitive before ..whats ur opinion...kindly reply
Getting a degree from abroad and then coming back to India will not make much of financial sense. The best MBA fresher job you can get in India will be similar to the ones which people from IIM A, B, C, ISB, XL etc are getting. The people from top Indian colleges will be getting the same package at much lesser cost than you. If you are taking a student loan to study abroad, your first few years will be very difficult repaying the loan in India. So it's recommended to work abroad and clear off your debts before you plan to come to India to work. (In exceptional cases you can get a very very good package but again the chances are less) I am not sure which competitive exam are you talking about ? If its MBA entrance exams, they wont take 1.5 years of preparation. 6-8 months of serious preparation is sufficient to get a percentile good enough for top colleges. After that it depends on your profile, past acads and work experience. All the best !

I have a query. I did BTech in Mechanical and graduated in 2020. But i got a job through campus placement in a non core field (Intellectual property-related to patents and trademarks) and worked there for 2 years. Now like he said that it may happen that the interviewer is from our background. So do i have to study for mechanical and Intellectual property questions too. I mean will they be asking questions from these fields. Cuz i am really bad at Mechanical and don't remember anything and I can barely recall what work i used to do in my company. So will i have to study for Mechanical and IP. And if yes, then what is the level of questions they ask? Even though i am not sure whether i will be able to score good in CAT or not. It is really tough for me to even understand the questions and the exam is next month. Gave CAT last year and got a really bad percentile. Ended up a similar situation this year too now cuz I was preparing for a govt exam this whole year. But I was just curious about the PI round.
Dont think too much about the interview right now. Just focus on CAT and the present situation. what usually happens is students think too much about the future (Which is Interview in this case) and ruin their present (Which in this case is preparing for CAT) . Dont let that happen to you ! After CAT there will be sufficient time to revise your mechanical subjects and to read about IP. 2 years is a decent time spent, so it's expected that you will know depth of what you were working on. Similarly you are expected to know about Mechanical subjects. So be prepared on that after CAT.

Not really. if someone is earning 36 lacs per year, it does not translate to 3 lacs per month. The entire amount in 36 lacs will not be the fixed salary. It has various components like Fixed, variable, bonuses, stock options etc etc.

In hand salary varies for different companies even at the exact same CTC. A good estimate is 80% of the fixed component. And a good estimate for the fixed component is usually 75-80% of the CTC. Again..these are just estimates. This varies a lot based on the industry and the company. For example, usually startups inflate their CTC by including ESOPs, Consulting companies inflate their CTC by including bonuses, Sales and Marketing roles inflate their CTC by including target driven incentives and so on.

@@arnavshastri1936 what about the avenue of progress post joining a law firm ? Obviously the development prospects post mba would beat anything that a tier 1 law firm has to offer. And before you come to any conclusion, I graduated from a tier 1 law School and I have worked in a tier 1 firm. Although the initial inhand salary is higher in a law firm but the exposure and the other perks of a post mba role, can't be ignored. You won't get anything close to it even if you make partner in a law firm.
If I have low academics in graduation and have done graduation in b.a honours in Japanese language what type of questions would they generally ask ? 10-12 is 92 -78 kind . But my graduation me since it was covid time etc impacted my grades and got about 55 percentage. I have no work ex either rn I m enrolled in m.a japanese but preparing for govt job ...I wanna give CAT 2024. Gen female
Being a non engineer and a female would have its own advantages with you. These things will compensate for the low acads. Right now your focus should only be on how to get the best possible percentile in CAT 2024.
I have a question to ask.
One of cousins wants to MBA but she has not that good score in her +2 so how will it difficult for her to get the college and then placement?
Anyone please help !
No worries focus on profile building and cat score
93.1% in 10th
91% in 12th Both CBSE
82.41% in BTech (Tier 2 Private University)
2 years experience in IT Field.
If I manage to score 99% in CAT is there any chance to get shortlisted into any of IIMs
shortlisted for interview yes. Short for final admission depends on your gd, pi and luck.

So you were never interested in mba and magically you get inspired by a few friends to attempt cat and fortunately crack it.
Then you say that market for employment wasn't that good because people didn't get selected in the first round.
I do respect you but.
But do you have any fact or evidence that backs up your theory of volatile markets for employment during your placement?
Because as far as I know Indian markets were doing good in 2023
Ask any 2023 grad and how different our placements were against 2022 grads.

can u bring in people from 1 year mba from iim or the pgpx vlm course?
Can anyone do MBA after 6 year gap. I worked for 2 year then I prepared for UPSC and have not been able to qualified so have wasted 6 year. I'm already 31 and doesn't know what to do. Feeling lost.
Yess

I'm in 2nd yr of bsc mlt from top medical college and wanted to persue mba .

Or
should i strt preparing for competitive exams , it will take me 1.5 year of preparation now cuz i naver gave any competitive before ..whats ur opinion...kindly reply
(In exceptional cases you can get a very very good package but again the chances are less)
I am not sure which competitive exam are you talking about ? If its MBA entrance exams, they wont take 1.5 years of preparation. 6-8 months of serious preparation is sufficient to get a percentile good enough for top colleges. After that it depends on your profile, past acads and work experience.
All the best !
@@collegeduniamba what about MBA from Germany? It would cost less money than iims.

Shadi se pehle honeymoon ki chinta nahi karte
Dont think too much about the interview right now. Just focus on CAT and the present situation. what usually happens is students think too much about the future (Which is Interview in this case) and ruin their present (Which in this case is preparing for CAT) . Dont let that happen to you !
After CAT there will be sufficient time to revise your mechanical subjects and to read about IP. 2 years is a decent time spent, so it's expected that you will know depth of what you were working on. Similarly you are expected to know about Mechanical subjects. So be prepared on that after CAT.

Bhai in hand salary kya hai
In hand salary varies for different companies even at the exact same CTC. A good estimate is 80% of the fixed component. And a good estimate for the fixed component is usually 75-80% of the CTC.
Again..these are just estimates. This varies a lot based on the industry and the company. For example, usually startups inflate their CTC by including ESOPs, Consulting companies inflate their CTC by including bonuses, Sales and Marketing roles inflate their CTC by including target driven incentives and so on.
