    Thank for bringing this to us👍at first thought i was thinking an older replay or somthing in the heads but what a surprise not only was it out front but it was sponsoring the bushfire appeal 👍👍I've recently returned from portland for a kayaking comp on aus day weekend unfortunately the water was dirty so only managed a few rat kings, some snapper and a couple of bronzies one of which was nice enough to tow me back out to the anchorage after i had just got back to the reef from there, but fun trip all the same. What a trip you and the guys had and that last hookup seemed to be close to your return to the heads? Great work great filming thanks again👍

    Tuna recovery is solely attributable to controlled commercial fishing. Recos do our bit, but we aren’t the danger. Pros always were the issue.

      Victor Bitter , yeah cool , I’m confused about people’s perception of this a come back for Victorian waters because I’m sure there never was a fishery to begin with ?

    • @victorbitter583
      @victorbitter583 4 роки тому

      @@justinkennedy2128 I wouldn't know mate. All my fishing was from Coffs or Cairns. Mainly Cairns.

      Victor Bitter , yeah I figured that Victoria never had this fishery , but the people that consider them selves experts are twisting the facts to suit their agenda , and in this case “youfish”
      Feels better about himself for exploiting his back yard for his own fame , it was a nice local secret till the fame whores destroyed it .

    Great to see some tagging and fantastic video. With regard to the recovery being due to recreational angles: the recovery of SBTs can be linked back to the actions of a few individuals: Glenn Hurry (AFMA,), Brian Jeffries (SBT industry), Ray Hilborn (assessment scientist) and others. They discovered long term Japanese overfishing and when this ended the stock started to recover. Credit where it’s due. Watch from about 7mins. ua-cam.com/video/hjdb1AVUnVI/v-deo.html - anyone with a recreational interest in SBTs should put an hour aside and watch this. Interestingly, holding Japan to account has more recently seen them do the same to Australia and rightly demand that Australia fully account for its recreational catch without the Australian limit. This saw the Australian Gov first estimate and then deduct the Rec catch from commercial quotas. Australia has excellent fisheries management - the same turnaround is occurring on a number of stocks including orange roughy.

      No foreign fishing boats in the SBT fishery. SBT quota is Australian owned.
