I am replacing my current Lux TX9000TS with the Lux TX9600TS and while they are pretty similiar your excellent video broke down every question and concern I had. Thanks!
Glad it helped
Thank you, we have this thermostat for almost 2 years. We didn’t really know how to program this. But after watching your video, we now know how to properly operate our thermostat.

I changed the batteries and now it clicks but doesn’t turn on my furnace. This video was great at explaining the component. But not sure why this happened.
was your furnace working before replacing the batteries?; then it may not be the thermostat!
Thank you!

So I have a heat pump. My AC functions as it should, but when switching to heat, the outside unit turns on, but the air handler fan stays off. I have to turn the fan to "on" to use it. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Does the fan run in auto in cooling mode?
I have a blue wire also wondering where that go
Where did it came from?
Will this work on my two wire pellet stove? I want a stat with a adjustable temp swing
Did you say stove ?
If it's for heating and using 24v or less for controls 2 wires R&W
@@D2DNYACyes pellet stove heater. The current thermostat is two wires. Basically a make or break connection. I need a stat I can set a swing temp
Thanks kine works great. No date and time on mine though, not that I care.
Thank you

A boiler install would connect the red wire to RH & the jumper would be removed? No cooling system connected.
That's 👍 OK
I have 7 wires with heat pump the blue wire go to b ?
Only if this wire was removed from B/O on the old thermostat you are replacing
I have the same thermostat. The issue I have with this unit is, that it doesn't stay at set temp. Say it's on 71. It stops at 78. Doesn't stop at set temp. How can I fix it to stop at set temp?
What type of heating system do you have?
@@D2DNYAC cooling and gas for heat.
Forced air furnace?
@@D2DNYAC yes
I found out you need to have it set on "HOLD" so the temp can't and won't change
I have the exact same TX9600 unit, but it stopped working recently, can an exact replacement control panel be just put on my current wall base or does it require new wiring? I would really appreciate it if anyone could help answer 🙏
Same model yes
@@D2DNYAC yes same model
I have this same thermostat connected to a York force air unit that has no filter slot. I forcefully installed a 16x25 filtrete where the return air duct comes into the furnace.
Now no matter where I set the thermostat, the furnace runs for exactly 45 minutes but then the fan turns off. But the flame on the thermostat keeps blinking.
Ever saw something like this?
Most likely because the caused additional airflow restrictions and the chamber is now overheating
@@D2DNYAC Sorry for the late response. I wanted to thank you for your quick reply and let you know you were 100% on the money.
After removing the filter, which wasn't that bad, I noticed the house was getting up to temperature faster and it no longer stopped the blower after 45 minutes. Have a great holiday!
I only have a heating system no air at all. I only have two wires and a jumper from the box. My heat will not turn on at all. What did I do wrong. I have the coupled jumper in RC and RH one wire in W1 and a wire in RH. It's freezing please help
The wiring configuration for heating only is RH and W1/W you can leave the jumper between RH and R
I have a question. When I turn the heat or cooling on When I set the desire temp When it reaches that temp it don't turn off did I wire something wrong?
What is the fan set to auto or on?
@@D2DNYAC auto
Okay then you should check your wiring
My sysyem has two stsges of heating. My old thermostat has one wire connected to w2 and e. There isn't a separate wire connected to w2 and there isnt a separate connected to E on my old thermostat. Do I take that 1 wire and connect it to w2 and w1?
1 wire to both terminals??
I have a heat pump but its turning in the heat when I turn in the cooling
Go to setup and change reversing valve setting for O/B
@@D2DNYAC Thank you for responding. Do you mean to change the wire from O to B or go to the lcd settings?
Did you turn switch #1 to the on position?
Sw 1 must be on for heat pumps then you can move the wire between O & B to achieve the desired result
@@D2DNYAC that worked! Thank you so much,
I have a heat pump that has to be told to go into heat mode or else it’ll just stay in cool mode is there a configuration change to allow that.. I was able to do it with a Honeywell pro but had to get a new thermostat and can’t figure this one out
You have to configure thermostat for heat pump
Can u helpe
With what?
@@D2DNYAC setting up my old bastard thermostat to a lux tx9600tsa
Yes what’s the question?
