It would be cool to see the folks restore a 70 -71 Sport Fury GT.. probably as rare as the 70 300 Hurst...

      383 v8 hurst shifter 4 spd.
How can I find out how many were built with this configuration. Yes I sold it for $500.00.

I can't wait to do the 1970 Chrysler 300!!! I cut back slightly on my GYC watching because there hasn't been much variation in the cars and THIS will be great - and I've also asked to do a C-body build too. Looking forward to this 😊

What a gyp. Your title on this piece is about that Chrysler 300H, a car I knew well about back in the 70s as a teenager, and you offered up only that tidbit teaser! Damn, I'm glad I subscribed to your channel, but what a letdown. Will I see that restoration before I croak? I was weird as a young guy; I loved really LARGE performance cars. Back then, if it were smaller than a Charger, it just didn't interest me. My first car (for the early Spring to late Fall months) in 1976 was a 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 4-door hardtop. It wasn't necessarily a performance car, but it was not a slacker either. My greatest pleasure as a kid was movie night at the local drive-in, and our family did it in style. Big "living room" type luxury cars, older, but really great for comfort. Dad bought a 1966 Chrysler Imperial 4-door in 1969, and that was a blast to sit in and watch the flicks. Before that, my Caddie was the family car. When that 300H came out, I WANTED IT! Of course, even as a used car, it was really rare and not so inexpensive, so driving bank-out wagon on a rice farm and making tacos at the local taco place as a teenager wasn't going to pay for it, so it would never come to fruition, but it was always in the back of my mind. Whenever any publication came out about it later in life, I bought two copies, one to read and one to stash in my collection of car mags, in perfect protected and relatively untouched condition, as are the others. I've always loved the big stuff. My Cadillac was a drive-in legend in my hometown of 18,000 folks, as I had the ride that the girls wanted to get to go to the drive -in in. I once took 6 16- and 17-year-old ladies and myself there on a Hot August Saturday night and ended up marrying one of them. I own a Sublime 2023 Challenger R/T Plus now, with a 6-speed and a ton of fun to drive. I just added a Barton shifter to it, and I have a few other upgrades in mind. I'll be enough performance for me. I paid cash for it, as that is how I prefer it, and paid less than MSRP because I've known the dealer all my life. I didn't want a Scat Pack, Hellcat or Redeye, as I am retired now and can't really afford the super high insurance and gas bill that come with those rides. If I had more disposable income, I may have gone for it, but these are tough times, folks! I've had really fast cars in my past, really quick cars, and one almost killed me four decades ago, a nicely built V-8 '71 Vega Not a great cornering vehicle, and too fast for my own good. I once owned a 'Torred 71 Roadrunner 440 Six barrel with a 4-speed, and that was fun, but I was offered a good amount of money for it then, so I sold it. I kind of regret it now, because that was in 1991, and now you just can't find a 440 car like that in the condition mine was in, unrestored, garaged and pampered. Not scared of really fast cars, just not that enthused about the cost of having one anymore. My new car makes me happy, and it gets thumbs up approval all of the time.

So you’re a Chubby Chaser? 😅. I dig the 300H and the ‘69 & ‘70 Mercury X-100s. They came with 429s, special Kelsey Hayes mag wheels and optional matte-finish trunk lids/tunnel back window surrounds.
