Totem discovered the original glitch, and explains it here: ua-cam.com/video/-1VguxG7SW4/v-deo.html So an extension of that was found by Zelop, when you are in the glitched state inside the shipwreck: use/pick up the pin > ESC the cutscene > inv > use the pin (or skeleton arm) with voodoo doll > inv > use skeleton arm with lantern.
Any insight into how using the enter key vs. double clicking for exiting screens works? For some reason it just doesn't work for me sometimes, and I notice you use it a lot more than I am able to. The first instance I notice is after cutting the cannon restraint rope, going back outside and inside really quick. For some reason it will not let me use the enter key there, and I have to double click. Amazing run by the way!
Thanks! Yes, quick enter works by default everywhere (with some edge cases). Single clicking anywhere disables it, but you can re-enable it by double clicking anywhere. You can't double click an item when selecting it from inventory, so an alternative can be to use the quick selection button (C). So with the cannon restraint rope example, you can either (1) double click with the sword on the rope before buffering ESC, or (2) quick select (C) the sword in the inventory and use it on the rope with the enter key (this way you haven't single clicked anywhere to disable it). Both ways will then let you quick enter out to the portside.
