Good morning Lisa! This was an exceptionally enjoyable video today, so full of colour and life with the family around you for the cookout, the fresh flowers and berries and all the wonderful baking! Thank you so very much, and I loved all the clothing you received from Threadup!
I discovered your channel recently and man is it motivating me (and overwhelming me a bit at the same time haha). I am in awe with the kind of childhood your children have! My husband and I want this so badly for our kids! Thank you for your inspiring videos. Homemaking is an art I have started to work on and develop for about 3 years now but I am so impressed by how much progress one can make when fully invested in it. That's why your videos give me hope! I hope one day I can get to that level of making so much of what we eat from scratch! Thank you thank you! Whenever I am discouraged or overwhelmed with homemaking, I watch one of your videos and it always does the trick :)
I’m with you. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s not going to happen overnight. I’ve been home full time for about 3 years now with our babies, and if I look back I can see that I have actually come a long way already. It is easy to get discouraged, but I look forward to continuing this journey. Glad there’s so much inspiration and encouragement out there 💙
@@jacquelynroe9036I think it’s nice if you have some help now and then. Especially if you have a large family. I used to help out several friends with their children. I don’t have any children of my own but I do have cats 🐈⬛ 🐈🐈⬛🐈
I would love to hear about your newest baby - how your pregnancy has been, your "birth plan," what your kids think of another sibling, the product you've purchased for this baby!
I think this is my favorite kind of video you make! I love just seeing what your family is up to. The peonies are so pretty! The danishes look amazing.😋🤍
You always look so cute while pregnant! Those summer dresses are darling. They’ll be so good for after the pregnancy too! You’re one smart cookie! I admire how you manage your home, do research and development on baking, video everything, raise animals, kids, and take the time to cut flowers for your table! Such amazing talents you and Luke share with us all! Thank you!
Lisa!! You are so AMAZING!! and Mr. Luke!! Loving his Mrs. and bringing home dishes, tableclothes!! He gets you Lisa; obviously!! and the boys helping move the table!! Thanks you for so much inspiration. I'm getting so excited to meet the new little!!! Take Care. Roxanne.
Iris are extremely easy to transplant if you want to move some closer to the house - they are near impossible to kill. It's also fun to collect different varieties as they come in a multitude of colors - blue flag and Louisiana types are native to North America.
Yes, I was just going to say that! My Irises were actually ones that my neighbors had uprooted and were going to throw away! I knew they would grow really well, I had admired them for years. They were ugly when i planted them, the landscapers had chopped all the foliage off, but they survived and thrived. I planted them in the wrong season too, and they were still happy.
Ok, after watching this, I need a nap!! Lisa you are amazing and how you do all that you do, I don't know how you do it!! It is so fun to see your children; they are so precious. You make everything look so easy. Your family is truly blessed by a mother and father who are so knowledgeable and motivated!! God bless each of you!
Everything you do makes me appreciate homemade everything! You’re a great decorator, wardrobe collector & an amazing mother! The food looks amazing. Blessings to all 🤗💜🇨🇦
If anyone’s interested I have found a way to peel boiled eggs and it works every time. After boiling eggs get a mason jar and drop one egg at a time in jar, shake hard, take egg out and the peel basically falls off almost by itself. Saves so much time.
Love this channel! A good example to women and families in general. Good wholesome content and very educational and inspiring. Keep doing what you’re doing! It’s such a joy to see a new video on both your channels!
You should dig out parts of the irises in the pasture and move it closer to the house - free plants that you know thrive at the farm 🌿 Love the channel ❤
My husband and I aspire to have a homestead one day. We recently moved to Michigan with our 2 boys (3 year old and 18 month old) from hot and dry arizona lol. Theres beautiful properties out here in the countryside. We love watching your videos, it also helps me get motivated to clean and cook new things. I LOVE your outfits, they compliment your cute baby bump!
Try looking for old oil cloth for your outdoor tablecloth or the old vinyl tablecloths with the flannel backing. Then you can just wipe the cloth down and won't have to wash it as often.
I love watching your videos - I listen to them at work and your videos inspire and motivate me when I feel overwhelmed at home with only 2 kids but work full time and dad works out of town during the week. It helps me get through and see all you do is amazing. ❤
Lisa, love the video. It was such wonderful content, thanks for letting us in into your home! I know as a homemakers it is one of the places we treasure the most! Many blessings and all the outfits were so cute. I would definitely wear them ❤
I love the dresses you picked out. I'm a fan of linen myself and will try to find things at the thrift store. The sweet treats you made looked really yummy. Added to your beautiful table outside, it looks like heaven.
Hi Lisa! I love your channel! A quick/cheap tip for the moving board while chopping is to place some newspaper underneath. It's more savvy than using a wet kitchen towel, and old newspapers can find a use again. I use old newspapers for polishing windows, collecting vegetable peels, and protecting my countertop while working with messy things. Hope this helps!
WOW LISA!! Those pastries look like a delicious labor of love ❤️ I bet they were amazing! I love your videos so much! They are so warming and comforting 😊
I’m so so impressed with your work and taking care of children. I am the oldest child of a large homeschool family. I have several children-4. 2 of them are school age and we homeschool them. I would like to do more. How do you manage so much being pregnant and small children? I see this and am stretched. So glad this is working for you, it’s nice to see it’s possible. My husband and I have a small irrigated farm in NE MT. I’m very impressed with your homemaking skills. I love your clothing ❤️style. Thank you for your content- it is a great inspiration for me. 😊
My friend pronounces peony the same as you. She's from Utah. They are his favorite flowers. She cuts them all to bring inside. So beautiful. I agree flowers really add a something extra!
I am getting hooked on watching your videos!! They're so calming and inspirational! ❤ I got excited when I saw you uploaded a new one this morning! Lol
I always pick peonies before they open that way the ants arent in the blooms and in my zone 5a New Brunswick, Canada whenn the blooms open we get hard rains...then they fall, so have to be proactive ❤
You are so adorable! Loved your fashion choices! All the best for a beautiful summer! ps...if you talk to Paige at Vernacular Farmhouse, say hi and tell her she is missed!!
Really great thorough video! You look beautiful in your ideal new clothing choices. (and) I really appreciated your boys carrying out the bench, together.😊
Lisa, I have a buckle-type baby carrier and a wrap. I tried the wrap once before after following someone’s short and it just wasn’t working and I went back to my other one. Eventually thought I’d just give up the wrap bc it didn’t seem worth the effort. Well I watched your video yesterday and did it but i put the baby in slightly wrong, however still liked it. This morning I tried it without watching the video to see if I could remember and got it all nice and snug. My baby smiled in the mirror both times 😂 so glad I’m using it, I was worried I’d regret giving it up!
Next door neighbor and a good friend both have the same teak table sets. When the good friend (and mom of 12) saw the neighbor’s set she didn’t realize it was the same set! Friend’s had weathered to gray(pretty). Neighbor had sealed his annually so it was like new. We live in north jersey/ny area
Love these kind of videos :) Your dress style is so cute. I would love to have so many fresh flowers, but I have a cat who will anything that is greenery so I hardly have them in my house as most plants are poisonous to cats. Spring here has finally arrived (though it is supposed to be closer to summer now hahaha) so we had our first dinner in the garden yesterday. I try focussing now on some new dinners that we can enjoy in the garden and on getting some vegetables to grow in pots. The nights are still very chilly so much still needs to be taken inside during the evening and night.
My in laws open up the old general store in our small town every Saturday. Mum in law makes sweets and coffee for all the locals to enjoy. She'll often make fruit and cheese Danish and it's sooo good. I don't know if I'll ever have the will power to make a dessert that involved but I sure appreciate people who do 🎉
Hey, thanks for showing your ThreadUP haul. I am on my first pregnancy and I needed some maternity clothes ideas. This was so educational for me haha! Love it!
Hi Lisa, Teak naturally ages silver, so regularly rubbing teak oil on it will bring it back to its beautiful red color. There’s some great info online for maintenance, so you don’t feel like you need to sand it every season!
Just have to share, I love your real look into your "simple" lifestyle (though I know it's anything BUT simple with all the things you're juggling daily!) - it's absolutely gorgeous between all the different colored eggs, greenery, fresh flowers, farmhouse, rising bread, etc. Checking out your videos daily has inspired me to be a better homemaker with my own household. We live in a suburban area outside a major city and there's very little greenery, lots more hustle/bustle but I've been inspired by you to make more involved dinners for my family this week after watching you. Typically we default to the crock pot because I always feel I don't have the time or the energy (which is fine sometimes!) But we've been appreciating food made with a little more love and effort so thank you for sharing a peek into your beautiful life!! ❤️
Loving the bump styling. You always rock the bump! 🤩 Lisa, your daily life is so inspiring as it is! Any of your “what we eat in a day,” “day on the homestead” videos are just sooooo fun to watch! ❤
hey girl- Love the video!😀😉 yummy food and cute clothes. Enjoyed seeing everyone outside. Looked like a lot of fun🤗 Those burgers looked oh so tasty to. Y'all have a wonderful weekend🥰

The outfits are very cute on you. But WOW I'm surprised but the high cost all the clohts especially if they are all used items. But thank you for sharing the prices. Help me to know that is not the place for me to shop. I will stick to in hopping person a thrift stores and garage sales.
Everything looked so good! I have been making hamburger buns with my sandwich bread recipe but I'm going to try brushing them with egg yolk next time too! I am going try your recipe sometime, I'm just not always great about branching out. 😆 But they looked amazing. All of the outfits you got were so cute, the baby bump is certainly an added cuteness bonus. 🥰 Love all the linen!
You've done it again Lisa, lovely video. Your flowers are so much further ahead than mine here on the east coast of Scotland. I have to have patience which I definitely dont!! Looking forward to meeting your new baby and I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
We have a wooden table with benches for dinner table inside the house. And we had the same problem, the wood seemed like is going to be destroyed from all the foods or when kids keep making little holes with their forks etc... So we use a tablecloth that here in Greece we call it mousama and is like fabric from the inside and like plastic from the outside. Its soft for the wood and easy to clean. I wish i could explain that in a better way...if you can find it where you live is very practical
Teak wood doesn’t enjoy sunlight. Sun drys out the oil and makes it look older. I have several teak rockers and I love them. I either shade them or oil them every year or two. They have outlasted other woods because they don’t dry rot easily. Love your outfits!❤
Hi Lisa! I so appreciate your channel and the grace with which you present motherhood and homemaking. Your blog/channel/podcast have been genuinely refreshing to me over the last several years. It really is such a gift to be homeschooling mamas in our homes. I am pregnant with our fifth baby and I really love how your apron fits over your bump. I checked your blog to see if you mention it there, but didn't see it. Do you mind sharing where it's from? Or, if you made it from a pattern? Thanks in advance!
Lovely Spring vlog!🌷💐 So much inspiration to enjoy outdoor living & cooking! Looks delicious! Tip cleaning ur Teak table Murphy oil soap & water w/ a brush will clean ur teak not damaging the wood. Teak is a porous wood. Dirt will stick to it as well as food. Have fun w/ outdoor living!🌻🌞😎❤️🥰💋
What a wonderful video!! Springtime is so fun with all the flowers and herbs. Love your outfits too! The cookout meal made me drool. The pastries, however, almost made me cry. Enjoy your weekend. God bless.
Okay so I believe for the avocado mayo, the reason why some don’t turn out is because of the temperature of the egg! If the egg is room temperature then it should turn out, but if it is an egg from the fridge (cold egg) then it won’t! I dint know if you ever figured out why that was happening, but I think I figured it out!
Great outdoor living and flower bouquet. I love being able to pick my own fresh flowers. The croissants look amazing! I’ll have to make them again soon and use your recipe.
Random question - what kind of carriers do you like for wearing baby on your back? I feel like you are the baby wearing expert haha. You inspired me to do it and wow - it has totally changed my motherhood experience for the better. ❤
Those are some really nice and modest outfits. They are really pretty. They look so cute on you. You're looking beautiful. I love those pastries. I no longer make pastries, for now, but I love watching someone else make them. Some things that I'd eat a lot of and knowing their effect on me is not good(ex. Chocolate anything), I stopped making them. I also run away from them in the stores. Homemade is the way to go.

I’ve now made 2 batches of your sourdough buns… wonderful recipe. Last time I let it rise lots - such yummy big fluffy buns.

So much inspiration to enjoy outdoor living & cooking! Looks delicious!
Tip cleaning ur Teak table
Murphy oil soap & water w/ a brush will clean ur teak not damaging the wood. Teak is a porous wood. Dirt will stick to it as well as food.
Have fun w/ outdoor living!🌻🌞😎❤️🥰💋
Your videos are always so inspirational! I love that, and I’m learning so much! 😊

Beautiful outfits, the first dress is my favorite. Your food always looks amazing. Love your sweet family. God bless y’all! 😀❤️
Thompson's Water Seal works great on protection outdoor wood furniture. We coat ours once every two years and the water sheds right off. :)
Random question - what kind of carriers do you like for wearing baby on your back? I feel like you are the baby wearing expert haha. You inspired me to do it and wow - it has totally changed my motherhood experience for the better. ❤
I have several blog posts that give details on my blog..www.farmhouseonboone.com/?s=baby+carrier
You are gorgeous and so talented!❤
Iris’s are so forgiving. Just dig them up and replant closer to the house!
