It really is incredible. My last 2 hops have been the best I've chopped a block in yeas!

From the little experience I got from bow making, since ash is lighter, you can always add dome dimensions in the handle to beef it up without sacrificing overall weight

I always seem to struggle with correcting a hang that is too open or closed. Thanks for the tips !

I've seen so many axes recently hung poorly, I'm trying to help a bit!

Sounds like a great axe for Fryeburg this fall then!

Hey Rod, great video, I like to measure from the bottom of the head to the end of your grip which is 23" for average man, it takes out any variation in the handle butt.

Hey Jeff! Great to hear from you. Yes - totally agree....but it is a confusing measurement to get lads and lassies to figure out. Then on my end there's the difference in hand size.... In honesty, I like the Aussie pattern that has the neck at 29"....then folk can adjust to suit themselves. My NZ pattern proves your point perfectly, as the palm swell is about 3" long, and actually shortens handle length from what you might expect. Hope to see you at a few shows this summer......and spread this video to as many competitors, and budding competitors as you can.
