Lyle is one of my favorite musicians & writers. I loved
seeing him with John Hiatt. This is a real treat. Thank you P.B.F.H.
Lyle and Bobby! Good stuff. Lyle is my FAVORITE country artist
The fans always hung on Jerry's every note, but Bob was the guitarist there that I paid attention to.
I remember this song from a LL concert in Aug of '95 at Red Rocks in CO. Now these guys are getting a lot older, sadly. But still making good music. Cheers.
I heard this song years ago by lyle , but this version is now my favourite, well played gentlemen.
Very happy to come across this piece of gold. Believe it or not both Lyle and Bob have been guitar inspirations for me at different points of my life. Love it
Hell Yes! Love you both.
How long have you been a great fan of mine

Um, that was, ah, Remarkable! Unbelievable blend of pure, from the soul, legends performing a classic, in an over the top rendition. Quality of life improved just from watching/listening to this...
This is pure gold.
Both make it all platinum. Y’all are stellar fellers.😉
I love this. For some reason it makes me sad hearing Bob pick out Jerry’s old lead. But I love seeing these two play beautiful music together.
Mandolin played by Nick Forester of Hot Rise with Tim O'Brien.
I love hearing this sweet version of this song! Nice job by 3 of my favorite musicians! I love you guys! Cheers!

Have you been to any of my concert?
EPIC! 🥰
Think about Lyle Lovett singing this solo. I think Jerry would be smiling down from Heaven.
He does:

There's a great version of Lyle singing it solo (with a small backing band), filmed at an empty Red Rocks Canyon
@@FSUSeaPA I believe that was recorded shortly after Jerry died, as a tribute to him. Lyle is a class act all the way.
Крутые.
Sweet

Lyle should do all the vocals
Texans and Californians have different accents.
Deadhead drugs and the Summer of Love peace activists against war in Vietnam.
In 1984, I watched Lyle play for a nearly empty house in Anderson's Fair in Houston while the crowd waited to arrive for the main act, usually Nanci Griffith.
Lyle usually drove his Cadillac to his gig in Anderson's Fair. Wasn't hurting for money.
Helped bankroll a whole lot of folk music.

Only the amazing grace of Jesus The Christ of The Holy Bible has been saving a miserable wretch like me.
Lest I vaunt myself before GOD saying mine own hand hath saved me.
Other people in the club for Lyle's performance were mostly Robert Earl Keen Jr and local folk musicians who were very talented. So I was hanging with a fairly elite crowd. Even though I had my pick of seats in an almost empty front row.
