  • This is an Indian pickle known as Achaar. Indian pickles are made with spices and oil as well. It has a spicy, sour and fruity taste. It is used as a condiment on sandwiches, wrap, pulao etc. There are many varieties of Indian pickles, and this is one of them. Usually, Indian pickles take few weeks to make and be served, but this pickle made with a very quick and easy method with very few spices and can be served the next day. Keep this in the fridge and you can enjoy it for more than six months. You can choose other vegetables of your choice. Adjust salt and red chili powder amounts according to your taste and little bit sugar (1 tsp) to make it sweet-n-sour taste.
    Ingredients:
    Carrot - 250 g
    Radish - 200 g
    Green chili - 30 g
    Ginger - 50 g
    Garlic - 100 g
    Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
    Fenugreek seeds - 2 tsp
    Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
    Salt - 2 + 3 tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
    Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
    Vinegar - 1 cup
    Oil - 1 cup
