At the start of the week, I make a list - if it's not on the list, I don't do it that week, lol. I do packing lists for all trips and vacations... Day by day itineraries for NPS trips... It's a sickness! I'm glad you can appreciate it!

Appreciate a good gear list from anyone who actually hikes vs. trying to sell me on a sponsored piece of gear they’ve never used or won’t use after. Was at 40 lb. on my pack when we hiked it a year ago and I definitely learned a lot from that hike and packing more economically. Only way to learn! Looking forward to the next three Saturdays videos and Walters epic movie which I’m sure will follow at some point.
Yeah, I wish companies were sending me free stuff (then again, it's hard for me to be fake excited if it sucks, lol), but no one is. The bear bag was a gift (and I do have an affiliate link below), but I bought everything else. I could have definitely left some things at home, maybe I'll make a short about that... Don't hold me to it, but he *might* be releasing his this weekend as well. I'm super excited to see it, and I was there, lol. Cheers!

Yeah.... With all the food and water, it was 31 lbs. I've never been over 27. Definitely some things I should have left at home. Maybe that's a video, too! Kate - spoiler alert - we had a blast. Walter is a great guy, and this trail was a worthy challenge! My 3 videos will drop on the next 3 Saturdays. Editing #2 right now 👍

Yeah, bringing a whole steak-specific kitchen with me wasn't the best idea, but.... They were DELICIOUS, NO REGRETS!!! 😂🤣

Looks like a lot for a 3 day hike but I guess its better to be overprepared then not. I can't wait to see these videos. I've heard a lot of good things about the old loggers path. I'm hoping to do my first overnight this summer but I am still researching gear, so I'll be taking notes.
There were definitely some items I didn't use: Comfy pants, crush lamp, bear spray 😉 But for food, the only thing I didn't eat was that huge Clif bar. I ate everything else, but I was also down 4 lbs in exactly 72 hours despite staying hydrated and crushing a cheeseburger, fries, and a shake as soon as I left the trail.
