My Husband & I Absolutely Positively Love Lindsey Stirling!!!!! We Think She Is Magical And Totally, Completely, Utterly 100% Extraordinary!!!!! She Actually Originally Auditioned For "America's Got Talent" And Simon Told Her That She Would Never Ever Amount To Anything And That She Would Never Be Successful And That She Would Never Ever Have A Career!!!!! Look At Her Now!!!!! She Has Now Performed On "America's Got Talent" Multiple Times!!!!! Lindsey Stirling Has Also Been A Contestant On "Dancing With The Stars"!!!!!
There is a child prodigy named Karolina Protsenko. If you like Lindsey you'll love her. I believe she's 14 now but picked up the violin when she was 6 years old
4:05 this sure is fantastic music video, or should I say short movie. But a full length movie, dont think it would work as well. Then again, back in the days, she (and her violin' trumpet) would made perfect guest star to one of the episodes of Brisco County Junior. Bruce Campbell and Lindsay Stirling teaming up agains bad guys 🤠👍
The violin she is playing in this is a Stroviol (AKA Stroh) violin, that horn is not a trumpet, it's a metal resonator, it amplifies the violins sound.
When Lindsey was about 5 years old, her father would take Her family (mom and 2 sisters) to free orchestral concerts in the city. Lindsey said that the first-chair violinist always tuned the orchestra and got the big solos. She saw that as being the Star of the show. Lindsey would beg her parents for violin and dance lessons. They could not afford both, so after going to one class each, she decided on the violin. Lindsey started with a rented violin because they couldn’t afford one. And since age 6 (1992), she has been violining to this day, (30 years). She was trained in Classic Violin for the first 12 years. Then one day in High School, she needed money for college, so she entered the Arizona Junior Miss Pageant. She noticed that around 6 other violinists were competing. She wanted to win, so she added dance to her playing. She wanted to entertain and perform, not just impress everyone. ua-cam.com/video/SIp_Q4DQ8uU/v-deo.html Of course, she won. After that, she decided to play the music she likes. She started adding hip-hop, then EDM, then dubstep. She has always practiced her violining...half an hour to an hour, 6 days a week. After she would practice, she would reward herself by playing something she wanted. She has said the key is perseverance. Actually, she learned how to dance through UA-cam videos. Growing up, Lindsey and her 2 sisters would dance to the Classical records their parents would play. Lindsey has always loved to dance. Lindsey was on Dancing With The Stars and Dance Showdown. And Lindsey has had about a week of Tap and a week of Ballet. Lindsey also learned a little from friends and choreographers. Lindsey was born to dance. 😂
Lindsey has a lot of GREAT videos. Some of my favorites..and it's really difficult to narrow it down but... - Master of Tides (Official Music Video) - Elements (Dubstep Violin Original Song) - Crystallize (Dubstep Violin Original Song) She also has some game music... such as her "Zelda Medley (Official Music Video)" and done some collabs with Pentatonix and done quite a few covers.
Ooh, back to some of Lindsey's early stuff! Great idea! From that era or so, Crystalize and Shadows Dance were my favorites. BUT THEN, Shatter Me happened. That one is still my absolute favorite from her even above Roundtable Rival, and I do not do favorites lightly. :)
She is absolutely phenomenal. I have never heard anybody play a violin like that. She is just absolutely unbelievable. Plus she is gorgeous. That helps also.lil 😂😂😂
Apparently, I didn't hit the save button. I'lt try again. What a great reaction!! Your enthusiasm is a reflection of the Stirlingite Nation as a whole. You found the fun that she embeds in all her work. I'm deeply envious of anyone who is experiencing Lindsey for the first time. I would love to be able to experience her work again for the first time. I was also struck by your observational skills, noticing details that other reactors seem to miss. Such as snapping quickly to the storyline,, noticing the intricacy of the sets and costumes, the use of instruments as weapons and even a mention of the horned violin. ( It's called a Strow violin, btw. Kinda of a 19th century amp. Lindsey's using it here simply as a prop for the period piece.) Anyway, I'm sure you're going to be inundated with suggestions for the next LS video to play and I'm resisting that as well. Suffice to say, what ever you chose will be awesome. She's such a talent and such a multi-hyphenate that we almost need a new word for her. She writes, arranges, storyboards, directs,, set designs, costume designs most of her videos and edits every one. So, here's a link to a page with a running tab on her view count and you can pick your own. And, as sh!e covers so many genres, there's a new experience every time. Anyway, fantastic review! Can't wait for more. kworb.net/youtube/artist/lindseystirling.html
Well said. One thing though. Violumpet was more than a prop. It worked well during the video and she still has it. With what you have posted, I'm guessing that you think that Lindsey ruined her violin she decorated for her Snow Waltz video. She did not... It seems like you people get a small scratch on the violin and it's useless. As long as the strings are not impaired, then it will play. As long as the condition of the wood remains good, the violin will sound good. I thought you would have learned that by now. Lindsey attaches a small mic to her violin. Does it still play? Of course. Lindsey played it for the entire video, so apparently, IT STILL WORKS. Lindsey has destroyed ONLY one violin in her whole career. Ingrid (her stunt violin) was destroyed after her Elements video. She didn't dry it off in time. She got another stunt violin (I named Ingrid 2) which she used in her Snow Waltz video. The one she decorated. Of course, it still works and she still has it but it is now themed. She can only use it for scary or Halloween videos.
5 months late?! Who cares!? Way to go @SheaWhatNow. Amazing reaction. Also, BOOO! Now I realize I need a 90+ minute "Roundtable Rival" movie and am depressed I'll never see it. 😄 I'd give this reaction 20 likes if I could!~ TYSM
Her Breakout song Crystalize is amazing. Should check that one out too.
This is one of my favorites from her. Love her music!
Love Lindsey's creativity and artistry. Thanks for the great reaction, Roundtable Rival is one of my favorites with the Steampunk vibe!
And maybe the only time you see someone actually putting on the steampunk goggles for eye protection.
“Roundtable Rivals”, aka “Battle of the Bards”
A true Angel of music! 🙌 Highly recommend the song “The Arena” 😊

I follow Karolina. She cites Lindsey as her inspiration. Also, she did a duet with Lindsey on the Kelly Clarkson Show.
I LOVE how this song; Accidentally or on Purpose is a stand vs. Gun Violence. Western where the principle form of combat is music not a gun in sight.
As you loved this video you will also love the video for Lindsey's song 'The Arena'. Check it out!
Snow Waltz from Lindsey. Absolutely incredible

This is the video that introduced me to her, and I've been in love ever since.
Speaking of fight scenes you need to watch her mv Til The Light Goes Out, talk about a mini movie.
