Even though Christopher and Jesse are morally polarizing characters, both shows represent Chrissy and Jesse in sympathetic lights. Both characters have tragic arcs in different contexts but to a certain level, they resonate. Who knows, maybe Jesse was inspired by Chrissy since Vince has been very open about the influence of the Sopranos on Breaking Bad.
Awesome video, but I have to say that Jesse, despite all of his issues, was still 1000x a better person than Chris. Both are very troubled young men, but one is still honorable enough to fight his "master", or "father" figure over the ricin and poisoning of a child while the other is a wife-beating crybully who hurts civilians for no reason, something Jesse never would. And no, please do not compare killing Gale to killing JT Dolan, one is in the criminal world while the other just no longer wanted to be friends with a psycho that ruined his life.
I don't disagree but I don't think JT Dolan wanted to stop being "friends" (I don't think there were ever friends) with Chris, at least there's no strong indication of that in the scene as far I can see. He just didn't want to potentially make himself an accessory after the fact by hearing what Chris knows. Throughout the scene, he's trying to help Chris get in contact with his AA sponsor or his wife.
@@williamdavis8076 Agreed. He doesn't fit into the criminal with a heart of gold box that writers usually go for to make such a character sympathizable. Rather, he's portrayed as an out & out bad person who still gained a group of the audience's empathy and fascination with his vulnerability, his artistic inclinations outside of his life of crime and long cycle of fighting his worst vice and relapsing.
If we look at just what they did, Jesse caused way more harm with his actions. Chris killed 2 innocent civilians in total. Jesse served meth to thousands of people, causing likely hundreds of innocent deaths and innumerable suffering to broken people
I don't see the similarities except that they were both number 2. Jesse had compassion and empathy. Whereas, Christopha, would kill a baby for like $10.
i love those two characters so much we can really see that jesse was inspired by christopher’s character
One of the most underrated edit i've ever seen. Transitions are perfect, the scenes used reflect parallels between chris and jesse magnificently.
0:43 one of the cleanest tranistions I've ever seen
Facts that shit was smooth as hell, whoever edited that part has some serious skills

And the way he responds to that is exactly why he is so much worse.@@themadtitan7603
Agreed, Jesse is a saint compared to Christopher, although Chris is just as fascinating a character
