I saw this model today for $1500 in a Grand Junction Model shop. I am glad you did this video, as this would be my first and you explained and showed everything. TY
I've had an H for a couple years now and still love the thing. When in flight the screen has a little green arrow ( at least mine does ) that shows you which way the front of the aircraft is facing. Even without the home function, and even if you can't see it ( a no no btw ) it's still easy to bring it back to you, if you don't freak out that is. Awesome piece of kit I've gotta say.
Excellent review! I’ve had my H for 18 months and you pretty much nailed it. A couple of thoughts though. Make sure you’re running the latest firmware. That enables the D-pads to do good things. Thanks for the comments and yes the firmware needed to be updated for sure. I was just reviewing the unit though, so I missed out on the cruise control and WB functions. Thanks for the info! I am also checking out the plus believe me :)
Huh? Cruise control? Could you explain that, I’ve had my Typhoon H Plus now over 3 years and I have no idea what you mean by that? When flying and both joysticks are left in neutral the H will hover...
just want to ad, to some of the good info you give I had a friend of mine crash his Typhoon. You mention the arms folding, and another reason to love Yuneec they engineer a lot of things into this machine. One in particular is the folding arms , they have a very small metal spring clip holding them up. In the event of a failure and a crash the craft will hit the ground and NOT break the arms, but rather break the spring clip , which is about 3 bucks and about 2 min to replace,, just a great machine all around,
If only that’s all that breaks, usually the hinge on the arm breaks. Still an easy fix, I just wish it wouldn’t be necessary to open up the whole housing.
Jay, I have both the T-H and the Mavic Pro, both are great but I tend to use the Mavic more than the T because is more portable and it has better video. but I have to say, I hate the constant software updates in the Mavic which sometimes makes it impossible to fly it if you don't have it up to date. I, too, own a Mavic Pro and Mavic 2 Pro with the Hasselblad camera. Since I thought my Typhoon H Pro was busted, I have not flown it much as compared to the Mavics which I fly regularly (I use an iPad mini with the controller, so I get a nice big screen). I am re-excited to fly the Typhoon H Pro again - especially after watching tons of videos of the Skydio 2. While I am not sure how the Typhoon H Pro will circumnavigate around trees and branches, I know it maps the world in 3D and then avoids obvious things. I am excited to see what Intel real-sense can do. I agree, the Typhoon allows for piloting, but the Wizard, as they call it, allows for more autonomous flight and that excites the heck out of me (and scares me to death, too). Not used to zero control and just let the drone do what it wants. I am looking forward to seeing what it can do.

I just saw your video on the typhoon h and it was very very informative and very easy and simple to watch and understand what you were doing. I just bought a brand new typhoon h from a friend of mine for $800. It was only flown once for about 30 minutes and then he had to go out of the country for work so I'm looking forward to getting it and getting some use out of it. I did find someone on eBay that sells adapter for the battery Bay and you can use a hobby grade LiPo battery up to an 8500 which will extend the flight time to about 33 minutes which is quite a bit. But thank you for the video you got a new subscriber and I look forward to some new stuff from you.
@@MikeSelvaggio I wish I had some information to tell you but I end up getting rid of it after a week. It was not as good of a drone as I thought it was gonna be and the battery life was maybe all of 22 to 23 minutes
Just bought this drone, mine is 533mm and has the CG03 + 4K camera, it's way more stable in windy condition than the Phantom 4 Advanced really smooth flight.
Great informative video. I just bought one so I'm glad for the information. The abilities it has seems ahead of it time even compared to some of the newer DJI drones.
I like the fact that you said when you go to release the arm to the down position, you suggest lifting up a little bit on it while you're pressing the button which really is the best way. I believe I learned that before you even showed this video. It just goes to show that you care how you handle your Typhoon H. You know as well as I do they can break very. So little TLC never hurts. Keith Kuhn
the negative point is that there is no RTH when the battery is low. At the first alert you must quickly return the drone otherwise it lands where it is
and the footage on the H480 is amazing thats why its called an AERIAL IMAGING SOLUTION. you are also not taking into account. that if you record in 4k, the 4k only shows up on a 4k screen. your controllers screen is a Reg ANDROID TABLET. its is either 720 or 1080, while viewing on the transmitter . that is why if you try to record in 4k it looks like crap on the transmitter. and then on a big screen it comes out blurry and skips around.
It seems like only a short time back I searched, searched, hours many hours, all drones required a smart phone. Many compatibility issues, often, will not work with your phone at all. What phones they did work with was for most part not stated. And so, I was not about to buy one. My Dream Has Come True, Thanks a lot for this good in depth review of this drone. There appears to be several brands and models available now that do not require a smart phone. But also seems to be a big gotcha issue with many, that being that they are not intended as camera drones, and the mfr websites do not seem to point that out. This Typhoon H certainly does seem to be a real camera drone, really it is exactly what I wanted a long time ago. Since I will be buying my first drone, I will carefully research to see if something smaller, maybe cheaper, is available. Appears the drone in this video is atm around $900.00 usd, and that seems quite a lot cheaper than something comparable since what I remember last time I was looking. Thanks for uploading the high res videos too, that is important, I want to get an idea of camera image quality. It will certainly be degraded by the yt transcoding server, but I can take that into consideration. Going to examine the 3840 x 2160 video, highest one available on the yt server. I only have 2k monitor (and don,t want a bigger one), but can save frames as images from vlc player, and open them as images, zoom in to examine image quality. So thrilled to know I can get a drone now, and this drone seems so totally great.
I have examined many video frame images, and, ALL THEM are badly out of focus at all distances! This is not something the yt transcoding server has done either. I feel so bummed out now, wondering if all drones have cameras that are out of focus. That actually could be something they all do. I will not buy a drone that does not have a sharp image. I certainly must research drones a lot more. For the price of this thing, one would thing it would capture a reasonably good image. Maybe it is just your camera, something wrong,.. but I bet not. If anybody is going to examine the image quality, get the highest resolution video off the yt server because that one will have the best quality.
I own a typhoon H and I have no clue wtf you're talking about. Rock solid, excellent video. Now, I'm not saying that I've flown it at night, but if I did, I would have been incredibly surprised at the camera's capabilities in low light conditions... ...IF I had ever flown it at night to check out Christmas lights in the neighborhood...😉
Great video helped me a lot with things . Bought my Yuneec H two year ago almost to the day as Recreational user there a great Drone for the price beats the DJI P4 standard for picture and video quality hand down thinking on selling my dji p 4 now its not worth much but a few ££ two wards the mantus G would be nice .Another great drone the Parrot anafi bought it this year as a stand by for the Parrot plus the yuneec H am still learning something new every time am out flying .
Thank you for the detailed review! Really appreciate your attention to all the little details. Do you know if there is a way to "stitch" together aerial imagery to make one large mosaic image? Also can you set up a "grid" flight to capture photos for making said "mosaic" image?
Thank you and as for your questions, Yes and yes. You can can stitch the images together using a variety of software, but nothing that comes with the drone itself. It is not done automatically for you in other words. You can also set the drone up on a predetermined flight path using the way points feature, and then snap photos as it fly's along the path. You can then stitch those photos together using some panoramic/ mosaic software. So this can certainly be done, but it's not really turn key or super easy if you have no experience doing such things. It will take some time and effort learning to use the drone's waypoint flight path feature, and then you would need to plan it out and take the photos accordingly. Then stitch the photos together in the correct order etc... I hope that helps! Jay
Thank you for the review. I just purchased a used Typhoon H. Can I upgrade the camera to the one on the H+? Any other upgrades that can be done? I am also interested in becoming a drone pilot. Any online classes you can recommend? Thanks again.
Hello Reginald, I am sorry, but I honestly don't know if you can put the H+ Camera on the H. You would need to contact Yuneec in regards to that. As far as becoming a drone pilot, the best resource I found is now a bit older, but really good and was done by Tony Northrup here: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=faa+test+tony+northrup However, the rules keep changing, so be sure to scroll down and check out some of the other more recent videos. I particularly like Tony's teaching style, so the basic concepts you can learn from him and then learn some of the newer rules from others perhaps... Best of luck and thanks for the comments ;)
Awesome!!! I love mine too. Your video sure helped me. I am thinking of mounting a FPV camera on the top so I could fly it and have another running the camera!
Very nice and real review. The video is almost 10 months old so I'm wondering if you are still flying it and what your thoughts are on it today? Would you rather have the H Plus over just the regular H if you had the choice to change? Thanks for your thoughts.
I was just reviewing the unit, so I only had it for about 1 month total. However, yes I would absolutely prefer the Typhoon H Plus (bhpho.to/2KhrPTj) for the much better 1" sensor camera for both video quality and photo quality. The larger sensor is significantly better, although the standard H is no slouch either in the real world.
Appreciate the video! I have the H as well (and a phantom 3 pro that I hardly ever fly now), and have never even turned on the realsense (after 1.5 years of ownership), but first thing I'm doing tomorrow is just that. Great job, and thanks again
I have not so positive experience with the Typhoon H. Unfortunately, I have often had the problem that the remote control could not be connected to the copter. Since I had the Yuneec Typhoon H also already with customer orders, this was very inconvenient for me. In the meantime, I have tried various things to get the connection problems under control. Neither firmware updates (and downgrades) nor calibrations helped me. Finally, I had decided to send the drone to customer service. However, no problems could be found there and I received the Typhoon H back in the same condition. The drone can still be flown, but in the meantime I can no longer establish a connection between the drone and the remote control. Therefore, the Typhoon H is now unused in my storeroom. Instead, I now rely on the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, even though it unfortunately does not have a swiveling gimbal. The Yuneec Typhoon H theoretically offers excellent features for professional users at the reasonable price of a user drone. The attractive offer of the Typhoon H Pro with Intel RealSense technology is an exciting alternative to the DJI Phantom 4 and is thus also a recommendable purchase option for enthusiastic hobby pilots, as long as the technology plays along. Unfortunately, the technology does not seem to be completely mature, so I cannot recommend the Yuneec Typhoon H without reservation. I find that very unfortunate, because I find Yuneec's approaches very convincing.
@3:16 I'm a video noob. I know the meaning of the word "fallow," and I can't see how it makes sense in the context of cinematography. I can't find an explanation online, either. Please help.
I was wondering if the still image mode had RAW and I see at 11:30 it does have RAW .....brilliant , this drone is even better than I thought . Photographers really need RAW images. Can the photo format be be set to JPEG and the Image format to RAW ?
That is great question and off the top of my head I don't know. I think it might just hover above home, or lower the gear and land. I would need to do some re-search to find out...
Hi Yay. A nicely put together video review. I posted it over on the Yuneec owners site. Hope you don't mind?Did you ever go for the Yuneec H or did you holdout for the new Yuneec H Plus. Just wondering?????? Cheers. Mike
They didn't do anything at the time I reviewed the unit with the firmware it had loaded. Now, yes they do stuff, and a few others have also commented on this. Thanks for the info Matthew ;)
Good looking drone but the range seems artificially limited, barely 1km? Cheaper drones like the parrot anafi or mavic air can double or more that with ease.
Great review! I bought my Typhoon H Pro a few years ago and thought the landing gear was broken. Turns out, I could power it up, turn it over and use the remote to flip the landing gear up - and doing so fixed the landing gear!! A very solid drone. Funny enough, I was looking at the Skydio 2 drone due to its advanced AI and 3D sense capabiliy along with the nifty wand that the drone can follow. It all sounded very familiar to me. Turns out, I already owned one. The Typhoon H Pro has most of those features and as you say, it's almost scary how well it works. Anyone know where to buy ND filters for the camera (CGO 3 4K)? Can we buy the higher end camera and replace the Typhoon H Pro's original camera? As far as your footage, a ND or polarizer filter would have helped along with a bit of contrast. Overall, solid review and tutorial - thank you very much!!
Thank you Mike, and as far as ND filters you would need to get the kind that is like window tint. You then cut it to shape to fit over the lens. Sort of a pain and not easy to find, but it does work. As far as changing cameras, I'm not sure. You would need to call Yunnec for an answer on that.
Patrick Kelliher About 17 minutes fly time ... But remember; you should maximize shoots per flight because of the 360 Camera rotation. I have counted about 15 shoots variations per flight...
I would say about 20min on average, but it really depends how aggressively you are pushing the motors. So, if it's really windy or your flying fast, you will get less time. You can get up to 25min per specs, but I never did when I was using it...
I dont know if your going to see this , as I see this is an older post, but no body really talks about this, but is the Realsense able to be used, just flying the aircraft , like in angle mode? or does it have to be in some type of watch me, follow me thing
As far as I understand it, yes RealSense can be used in any mode as long as you enable it. It's been so long since I reviewed this unit however, and with software updates, I could be wrong...
Hello, if you had no drones and wanted to purchase one in the 1200 US$ what you will purchase??? Mavic 2 pro??? or the Typhoon H??? I really would like to know your opinion?
If I had no drones, which is my current situation, and had only $1200 I would go for the one with the best camera on it and most portable. In this case the Mavic Pro 2 (bhpho.to/2J5jJ12) with the 1" Hasselblad is the most affordable and would yield me the best results for photos and video. However, I would rather save a bit longer and get the Yuneec H Plus (bhpho.to/2J8elKL), because it also has the 1" sensor camera and has a ton of features that make it a way better overall turn key solution in my opinion. It is larger, but the rotating camera and amazing remote control with the built in 7" screen alone make it a better option. I also like the 6 blades encase a motor or rotor fails. It is larger, but it offers so much more if I ever planned to do re-estate photography or video for example. It's a better commercial use drone I would say for the money. I hope that helps.
I'm getting into Search and Rescue using the Yuneec Typhoon H Plus with the CGOET dual lens camera, along with the 3DR X8+ Heavy Lift drone with probably a GoPro-like dual lens camera, or a camera with higher thermal resolution (640x512, 19mm lens). I've just received the huge 2.5' diameter X8+ ($550 on eBay, seller included a 10,000 mAh Lipo battery) and Tarot gimbal, but no camera yet (deciding what to get). Will try it out this week. The X8+ carries 5-10 pounds and travels up to 60 mph - so it will map your search grid or crop acreage or solar farm FAST. I just saw someone using 3-blade propellers - would that increase the payload capacity on the X8+?
Great review, my 2nd drone (first was cheap junk). My unit also has a smaller/flatter 5ghz antenna which as I understand it, is for the camera? Some great buys on Ebay on Yuneec refurbished units (less than $600 with shipping and 1yr warranty by Yuneec) with 2 batteries and such. Wonderful buy on a great product.
"Watch Me" works great, but Real Sense? There has been not any obstacle in your flight. Real Sense works also very well. I tested it with the Thyphoon H Plus, and it stopped in front of all obstacles. Real Sense together with "Follow Me" could be better. The drone stops aprroximately 2 metres in front of any obstacles, but the drone has problems with the autonomous passing by (fly around) of the obstacles. It takes a very long time for the drone to do that. Very often the drone just stops.
There is no zoom on this camera, but you can crop your photos after you take pictures on the computer and get a zoom in effect at the loss of some resolution of course.
I love this tutorial. I have not used my Intel realsense that much.perhaps after watching your video again I should try it some more. You did a great job on this tutorial. I'm sorry that they're going to discontinue the typhoon H 480 I remember when this bird first came out I wanted one in the worst way. Finally I got one. Do you still have yours ? Keith Kuhn
Excellent video! Thanks I'm new to drones and I want to spend my money as wisely as possible. I'm a photographer by trade and want to add aerial photography to my list. I want something that I will NOT get bored with quickly. Would this be a decent "beginner" drone? I can fly toy grade quads slowly but successfully and I'd actually like to get a licence too. Thanks in advance for your help.
A.MA.Z.I.N.G. review! Thank you for making this. It gives a fully detailed guide on how to use it, the good and the less good things about it, you did a great job on this video! I am planning on buying a new drone and this one has stood out for me for a while now... The thing is, I'd be buying it without the Intel RealSense (just because of saving some money) would it still be as worth it? Because this drone looks amazing, controller has all functions needed, etc.
Yeah, the real sense is great for that feature if you need it. I only used it to show you guys how it works, so unless you need that feature I would not worry about it. Learn to fly with a cheap drone first though of course!! Very important to know the basics before messing with one like this ;) Thanks for the comments and best of luck!!
I have a couple questions. 1. Is the Typhoon H Comfortable to Carry 2. My budget is about 1700usd, would you recommend this or another drone 3. How does this compare to a Phantom 4 Pro or Mavic 2 Zoom
I'm not sure how accurate your measurements need to be, but yes this would work for that type of thing I would think. Yuneec does make commercial grade drones as well, that are more accurate for advanced surveying as well. See here: commercial.yuneec.com/commerce-home
it is a 4k camera lol !!! but you must have a 4k tv or monitor to watch it in 4k perfect image, however the image that shows on the controller is always 720 but you can change all the camera settings
I did the same thing years ago,, literally watched them all, and incidentally, I still watch them from time to time,,lol, like this one, keeps me sharp,,,,, Im pretty much an expert now
what no one notices - the NEW Typhoon Hs and the Typhoon PLUS they already have the 2 EXTERIOR Antennas On the actually drone (they look like leg braces for when the landing gear legs come down, but NO those are actually EXTERIOR Antennas- the Old Typhoon H's - Did not have these 2 Antennas by the Landing legs, the old ones were INSIDE the unit - so bad range - the exterior antenna makes a huge difference - so if your getting a Typhoon H or Plus make sure your unit has the 2 LEG Antennas- also the new Typhoon H and the Plus have 3 antennas on the st16+ ccontroller, which is good, but ONLY IF YOUR UNIT HAS THE EXTERIOR LEG antennas - keep that in mind.
Great news! Thanks, John, for pointing that out. Gotta watch out about eBay purchases now to make sure they aren't older models of the Typhoon H Plus. Range has it's legal limits, but, it's nice to have it in case you really need it for emergencies.
In your journey mode demo I dont believe you had any sort of obstacle detection, if obstacle avoidance is off then the drone has no detection whatsoever.
Terrific review. Liked and subscribed. I recently bought a Typhoon H and just love everything about it. Check out my channel for my first flight video. I am about to upload my second flight video later today. Cheers.
Oh ya btw, it is not 4K. You can't trust anything that that piece of plastic says. A real 4K camera is HUUUGE and very expensive. The camera will only work in 10-minute intervals because it gets insanely hot. The lense and matrix have to be very big and heavy for 4K. Not being rude, but just keep in mind that 4K cameras are very expensive and can only be carried on the shoulder. This drone is probably 1080p.
Beware of the crappy Yuneec warranty...it sucks canal water. Batteries only have a 30-day warranty and the batteries fail to hold a charge after only minimal use. To replace the drone batteries (comes with 2) and the controller battery (1) will run you about $350! Yes, you pay about $1000 for a drone, then, within only minimal flying hours, you'll be forced to replace the batteries. I don't know much about other brands, but BEWARE of Yuneec and its crappy lithium batteries.
One of the better H480 demos I've seen. Great job!

Jimmy, how is the substitute battery working out for you?
@@MikeSelvaggio I wish I had some information to tell you but I end up getting rid of it after a week. It was not as good of a drone as I thought it was gonna be and the battery life was maybe all of 22 to 23 minutes
Just bought this drone, mine is 533mm and has the CG03 + 4K camera, it's way more stable in windy condition than the Phantom 4 Advanced really smooth flight.
Hi Jay, Just watched your review and decided to choose Yuneec over DJI.. excellent review
This is an excellent review video. I learned a couple of new things. keep up the good work!
Great informative video. I just bought one so I'm glad for the information. The abilities it has seems ahead of it time even compared to some of the newer DJI drones.
You did a splendid job with this review and you have provided some great information.
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the nice comments :)

You just need to stay away from R.R. Crossings or any High Tower!
@@Nortonsnorton
You're definitely right about staying away from high power Towers or RR Road
Lights are bridges are Crossings
the negative point is that there is no RTH when the battery is low. At the first alert you must quickly return the drone otherwise it lands where it is
Thank you. This was useful for me as a new owner of the Typhoon H
You should do more drone reviews you are extremely good at it. (im being selfish) It could bring a whole new group to your channel. thanks again
Thank You! I bought the H3 yet it does not have the ground or smart intel sensors. It has a more improved camera.
Great tutorial I have a typhoon H I had no idea the right stick would control the camera you just taught me something new.
Keith Kuhn
Thank you very much for the comments Keith, and I'm really glad you got something useful out of the video review!! All the best,
Jay

AJ do you still fly your typhoon H occasionally ?
I still fly mine I love it.

GREAT VIDEO I have watched several videos on this bird and this is the best one. You did a great job, thank you! also great footage
and the footage on the H480 is amazing thats why its called an AERIAL IMAGING SOLUTION.
you are also not taking into account. that if you record in 4k, the 4k only shows up on a 4k screen. your controllers screen is a Reg ANDROID TABLET. its is either 720 or 1080, while viewing on the transmitter . that is why if you try to record in 4k it looks like crap on the transmitter. and then on a big screen it comes out blurry and skips around.
Also, I got a refurbished unit from deal parade.
More than happy and it really can't be beat for the money...
This a great information video. Well done!!
Thank you!
Jay
Get a lens upgrade for the cgo3+ it will change your footage dramatically and take it into cinematography standard.
Its a Great Review, dude! 👍🏻
Sorry, but the C23 camera on the H Plus will not work on the Typhoon H.
The H Plus is a larger aircraft with more power and is made to carry the C23.
Awesome!!! I love mine too. Your video sure helped me. I am thinking of mounting a FPV camera on the top so I could fly it and have another running the camera!
Might buy it? LMAO!!! ua-cam.com/video/0Vy668sSrSo/v-deo.html

@@Jason_Hermann Thanks for the answer. I've gone smaller instead of larger, but the Typhoon has intrigued me.
360 degree camera IS SO GOOD
@3:16 I'm a video noob. I know the meaning of the word "fallow," and I can't see how it makes sense in the context of cinematography. I can't find an explanation online, either. Please help.
Please review w/the wizard. Also you should review cases.
I was wondering if the still image mode had RAW and I see at 11:30 it does have RAW .....brilliant , this drone is even better than I thought . Photographers really need RAW images.
Can the photo format be be set to JPEG and the Image format to RAW ?
Will the landing gear lower down when it gets ready to land when the return to home is activated?
That is great question and off the top of my head I don't know. I think it might just hover above home, or lower the gear and land. I would need to do some re-search to find out...
yes it will lower the legs on an RTH
Hi Yay. A nicely put together video review. I posted it over on the Yuneec owners site. Hope you don't mind?Did you ever go for the Yuneec H or did you holdout for the new Yuneec H Plus. Just wondering??????
Cheers.
Mike
10:15 "These controllers don't do anything." What? Those are VERY useful! Research them a little - I use these a LOT.
Is this a good upgrade from the phantom 3 pro?
Great job. Thank you. Keep up the good work. You helped me to make my choice.
That's a nice quad. I had q500. It lost gps could not control it it crash. Uneek couldn't fix. It I will order this h. Next week nice video
Ultra perfekt review video, thanks!
Glad you liked it and thank you for the comments!
@@Jason_Hermann I have same drone like this, and your video is very helpfull, coz the user manual is too weak for perfect learning. Thanks again.
You can get ND filters for the camera at www.yuneecskins.com
@@folepi22_SteveC Awesome and thanks for the info!
Can you leave the remote somewhere and see if it follows you or the remote? I would be curious to see. Thanks for the video..good info
It fallows the remote, I checked. It does seam like it's fallowing my face though as well based on the footage ;)
Hi Sir, this is the H plus version? Whit 1 inch sensor and 21 mpx ?
No, regular H version
Jay thanks for the review. Can you guys tell me what I should be expecting realistically from flight time perspective per battery?
Patrick Kelliher
About 17 minutes fly time ...
@@Jason_Hermann 10 to 12 minutes, I've had mine for 1.5 years and have never had a 20 minute flight.
20 minutes while recording is average for my H480 on each battery
Did you consider the new “Plus” version of the Typhoon?
Yes, I have been looking at it very closely! The 1 inch sensor camera and better handling is hard not to notice ;)
I dont know if your going to see this , as I see this is an older post,
but no body really talks about this, but is the Realsense able to be used, just flying the aircraft , like in angle mode? or does it have to be in some type of watch me, follow me thing
As far as I understand it, yes RealSense can be used in any mode as long as you enable it. It's been so long since I reviewed this unit however, and with software updates, I could be wrong...
@@Jason_Hermann thanks i hope thats true appreciate it
Hello, if you had no drones and wanted to purchase one in the 1200 US$ what you will purchase???
Very in depth review, thanx...nice job.
How feasible to put pontoons on the legs so it can land on water in an emergency? Would you have to leave the legs down?
"Watch Me" works great, but Real Sense? There has been not any obstacle in your flight. Real Sense works also very well. I tested it with the Thyphoon H Plus, and it stopped in front of all obstacles. Real Sense together with "Follow Me" could be better. The drone stops aprroximately 2 metres in front of any obstacles, but the drone has problems with the autonomous passing by (fly around) of the obstacles. It takes a very long time for the drone to do that. Very often the drone just stops.
Does the camera have a zoom? Can you take pictures with the zoom?
There is no zoom on this camera, but you can crop your photos after you take pictures on the computer and get a zoom in effect at the loss of some resolution of course.
Excellent video!
Any after market smart batteries for this?
I love this tutorial.
I have not used my Intel realsense that much.perhaps after watching your video again I should try it some more. You did a great job on this tutorial. I'm sorry that they're going to discontinue the typhoon H 480
I remember when this bird first came out I wanted one in the worst way. Finally I got one. Do you still have yours ?

How does the newer Typhoon H+ camera compare to this drone ?

I am so getting this.
I just love that controller!
Can you get this with goggle control?
Excellent video! Thanks
I'm new to drones and I want to spend my money as wisely as possible.
It is a bit grainy? is that just the youtube
I have a couple questions.
1. Is the Typhoon H Comfortable to Carry
2. My budget is about 1700usd, would you recommend this or another drone
3. How does this compare to a Phantom 4 Pro or Mavic 2 Zoom
Thank you for all information!
Best regards from Scandinavia and Sweden
Night TIme Video Quality and real Sense Performance. How is it?
I did not test either of those things, sorry. I would imagine the video quality would be pretty bad though.
Hi Jay , I need a drone for photogrammetry , do you think this is a good one ? . Good job
Great video!! Thank you sir!!👍
Thank you for the comments ;)
Supercool video !!

I did the same thing years ago,, literally watched them all, and incidentally, I still watch them from time to time,,lol, like this one, keeps me sharp,,,,, Im pretty much an expert now
Great review..Im definetely purchase soon my own Typhoon H!!! And I though the typhoon H its better than the Mavic Pro?
Thank you and best of luck with it!
what no one notices - the NEW Typhoon Hs and the Typhoon PLUS they already have the 2 EXTERIOR Antennas On the actually drone (they look like leg braces for when the landing gear legs come down, but NO those are actually EXTERIOR Antennas- the Old Typhoon H's - Did not have these 2 Antennas by the Landing legs, the old ones were INSIDE the unit - so bad range - the exterior antenna makes a huge difference - so if your getting a Typhoon H or Plus make sure your unit has the 2 LEG Antennas- also the new Typhoon H and the Plus have 3 antennas on the st16+ ccontroller, which is good, but ONLY IF YOUR UNIT HAS THE EXTERIOR LEG antennas - keep that in mind.
Great news! Thanks, John, for pointing that out. Gotta watch out about eBay purchases now to make sure they aren't older models of the Typhoon H Plus. Range has it's legal limits, but, it's nice to have it in case you really need it for emergencies.
Nice vid!!!Thanx;))

where the f... do you live man? that's amazing!
Hudson Valley, NY USA area. Thanks!
That is one big remote!
Yes it is huge, but so awesome!

cool. thanks
In your journey mode demo I dont believe you had any sort of obstacle detection, if obstacle avoidance is off then the drone has no detection whatsoever.
Smart!
I think you need a larger microphone,, that one is way to small
When that drone is folded, it looks like a dead spider.
It totally does!!
Wow,,,,,,,I want one,,,,,,please Santa
Terrific review. Liked and subscribed. I recently bought a Typhoon H and just love everything about it. Check out my channel for my first flight video. I am about to upload my second flight video later today. Cheers.
a wise man once told me, if dont want professional..get dji
Oh ya btw, it is not 4K. You can't trust anything that that piece of plastic says. A real 4K camera is HUUUGE and very expensive. The camera will only work in 10-minute intervals because it gets insanely hot. The lense and matrix have to be very big and heavy for 4K. Not being rude, but just keep in mind that 4K cameras are very expensive and can only be carried on the shoulder. This drone is probably 1080p.
lol
skynet is real
Beware of the crappy Yuneec warranty...it sucks canal water. Batteries only have a 30-day warranty and the batteries fail to hold a charge after only minimal use. To replace the drone batteries (comes with 2) and the controller battery (1) will run you about $350! Yes, you pay about $1000 for a drone, then, within only minimal flying hours, you'll be forced to replace the batteries. I don't know much about other brands, but BEWARE of Yuneec and its crappy lithium batteries.
