He came back inside & told Nova "I just wrote the song that's going to change our lives" They recorded the track & shot the video (she still does all of his videos) thst afternoon. He borrowed $1,000 from friends & family to promote it on Facebook. They woke up the next morning to almost 1 million views & just got bigger from there. We'll get around to Nova eventually. She is a very talented song writer/singer/rapper in her own rite.

I did respect the genre back with biggie and pac, but when i heard about Tom thru a youtube short i was drawn in by the message. Listening to him over the last couple years hes become one of my favorite artists. His beats are crazy. The fact that he does everything with his girl and a small team blows me away. How could you not respect his artistry. Tom will sacrifice hooks, bars, bridges, and visuals just to get the message across. I respect the hell out of that. It's not just that... it's marketing. Tom often, especially earlier on, used UA-cam ads to promote the songs. No intros means that he can grab your attention quicker. The idea being to grab your attention in the 5 seconds before the skip button comes up 😉

You have some cool shit to find in this rabbit hole. Also you have to put things in perspective of him as a person in these songs and not what box everyone puts him in which gives him a political rapper tag. Its hard af to not hear about politics anywhere you go so he speaks on common sense stuff that everyone sees and that automatically labels him a Trump supporter. If his ideas were bat sht crazy then he'd be labeled otherwise. Just take it how you see things and youll get it even through his "political rap". There is a ton of things to watch from him but after this id say his next one that let him live rent free in people's head was "Whiteboy" and yhe follow up to all the hate with "This House" which you have to listen with good headphones on because the beat is amazing. The lyrics are 7th layer of hell type of fire and super inspirational. My favorite to this day since its the first middle finger he gave to all his haters. Beyond that some of his biggest ones devoid of political scheme are the Mac Lethal diss tracks, Im Sorry, I Dont Care, No Response, Best Rapper Ever, and Cancer if you dont mind tearing up. As far as Marshal Mathers, he's a big part of Tom's life and he bought a beat from Eminem that was labeled Stan's Revenge or something to that effect and he made it Em inspired and called it Dear Slim. The Stan's especially hated that one. Either way you have tons of content just there not to mention everything else you cover. Hang Over Gang is loyal and they find all reactions so its definitely worth it to you youtube click wise to grow your channel while also creating that conversation on where you want to head as an artist and content creator yourself. At this point Tom was living in the hood no hydro, he wrote this on his front porch while smoking his last half cigarette, he Told Nova i have it and they had to borrow hydro from a neighboor by running a extention cord from one house to another to light up the red light to film the video, it went viral and now we are were we are today

I'm a bit of a late comer to Tom. I found him and his music in 2019 but I've been a fan since then. I don't watch a lot of reactions because most of them don't feel real. When reactors "love" everything every artist puts out, I have to question that. I love your reactions. They are fresh, raw, and real. I subscribed and I'm looking forward to watching more of your content.

No he was poor. Electricity was shut off, he used an extension cord and his neighbor let him borrow theirs for the video. This was also recorded by nova in their living room.

The story behind this song is one of the tales we tell our little hogs around the campfire.
He went out on their porch to smoke his last half cigarette and wrote this in that length of time. He came back in, told Nova he had written the song that was going to change their lives. He recorded it while she got set up to video it and they borrowed money for a Facebook ad, posted it and, as they say, the rest is history. It went viral and he blew up.
Nova not only shot this one, but all of his videos except Chrome.(she was in that one and crushed Tom & Adam 😂, which was filmed by his sister Jenna) she can rap also, has a catalog of her own, used to be part of Def Jam.. she's really a genius in her own right!

Peoples short attention span is part of the reason there isn’t an intro on YT, the actual songs have intros.
It's not just that... it's marketing. Tom often, especially earlier on, used UA-cam ads to promote the songs. No intros means that he can grab your attention quicker. The idea being to grab your attention in the 5 seconds before the skip button comes up 😉
So glad you are enjoying Tom’s music. Now that you’ve seen his start and where he is now you can see how much he has grown over the last 6 yrs (or it might take a few more songs 😉). To answer your question…I think it’s both. Mainstream music has gotten generic, but we have also gotten older so we understand the songs differently than when we were young. I know there are a lot of songs that I used to listen to that when I listen to now I’m like, “I had no idea that is what that song was about”. So yeah, some of both. Tom does have alot of music before this came out but he was basically making rap like other rappers were doing and it was not going anywhere, but he has some really good songs before this. You have some cool shit to find in this rabbit hole. Also you have to put things in perspective of him as a person in these songs and not what box everyone puts him in which gives him a political rapper tag. Its hard af to not hear about politics anywhere you go so he speaks on common sense stuff that everyone sees and that automatically labels him a Trump supporter. If his ideas were bat sht crazy then he'd be labeled otherwise.
Just take it how you see things and youll get it even through his "political rap". There is a ton of things to watch from him but after this id say his next one that let him live rent free in people's head was "Whiteboy" and yhe follow up to all the hate with "This House" which you have to listen with good headphones on because the beat is amazing. The lyrics are 7th layer of hell type of fire and super inspirational. My favorite to this day since its the first middle finger he gave to all his haters.
Beyond that some of his biggest ones devoid of political scheme are the Mac Lethal diss tracks, Im Sorry, I Dont Care, No Response, Best Rapper Ever, and Cancer if you dont mind tearing up.
As far as Marshal Mathers, he's a big part of Tom's life and he bought a beat from Eminem that was labeled Stan's Revenge or something to that effect and he made it Em inspired and called it Dear Slim. The Stan's especially hated that one.
Either way you have tons of content just there not to mention everything else you cover. Hang Over Gang is loyal and they find all reactions so its definitely worth it to you youtube click wise to grow your channel while also creating that conversation on where you want to head as an artist and content creator yourself.

Hey man. I really appreciate when a real one does a Tom journey... because I get to relive my experience/ excitement thru you.
Tom rose to the top of my favorites really quick when I dove into his catalog. the diversity, the message, the idgaf, the unapologetic nature is what draws me in, but when I learned he does EVERYTHING himself, my respect grew immensely. He makes the beats, the lyrics, the production, his girl does the videos, but he is on set building the sets... his acting/showmanship is on point and entertaining... and his marketing is pure genius! I just don't get the hate he receives.
