I have been working on my form a lot so far in 2023 and recently got ahold of an ESP Heat. So far, I'm getting a lot of use out of it playing NC wood golf. It is one of the most comfortable discs I've held also. I'm excited to see the form work paying off also. Throwing a 9 speed disc with purpose has really helped my game out, chewing up distance off the tee.
Instead of a Leopard3, you should try the gstar Hawkeye. Once broken in, it flies as one would expect of the Leopard3 numbers, and with more glide/distance. Hawkeye is very predictable and controllable, not finicky. I also have the new FD which compliments it with a true 0 1 flight (mine is a tournament metal-flake C). They complete each other so well. In your throws the L3 looks more like it's doing a -1 2. The L3 being less aerodynamic, with a blunter/higher nose, may explain why it barely goes a few feet more than the 6speed Leopard.
Fellow Lefty here. I think the Stag is one of the better hyzer flip/neutral fairway discs. Very workable and has the craziest amount of glide while still having a reliable finish. Check it out
If you get a chance you should try the Streamline Discs Ascend. It's my current favorite understandable fairway. It's only a 6 speed but you can put a lot behind it and still get a good flight.
I've got a brand new Ascend (the special edition). It's acting more like one would expect of a Leopard than a -3 | 0.5 . I thought it would be great for long anhyzer shots, but it just fights right out of those as much as a 0 2 would. Compared to numbers, it has far less turn, and much more fade. I do get good distance from it, so great glide, and I only hope that once it'd broken in, it can be used for those long sweeping anhyzers which is what I bought it for.
I really enjoy the Big Z Anax myself lately, but I personally have to give the nod to Discmania plastic over the standard ESP. Also, sub 20 minutes isn't that long of a video. I think my favorite parts of your videos are when you get more granular and tell us things that we can't pick up on with just a few throws and flight numbers. For example, the Athena flight looked fine, but I have to agree with you that it's just not quite right for me, I have so much more trust in my explorer. Keep it up, I love seeing all these different discs being compared!
The Big Z Anax has such a good flight! Also I like the profile over the standard ESP. It’s also beefier than the ESP. Might be what I use instead of the PD! I am always weary of making videos over 6-8min, since after about 3-4min is when people tune out. But in general definitely not that long. Now that I am no longer sponsored by a disc manufacturer, I will be going more into a good/bad/ugly approach with discs. Not going to be afraid to say if I like or don’t like something.
I think I’m going to do an update video from Disc recommendations. The collection has been increasing at an exponential rate 😂. We will see what makes the bag this Spring!….. or Summer once winter finally ends 🙃
I use a crave, Servo, and Resistor for my lower speeds. Then I use an Insanity, Tesla, Volt, and a Motion for my higher speeds. I only use my motion for those shorter shots as it flies like a beat in C Raptor. My Insanity I use for rollers.
My FH and BH at fairway range match quite evenly so I tend to stick to the overstable side of things. I have my bag sorta built around my Undertaker since it can get the most distance without too much left and right movement. I've found that the metal flake centurion offers that same flight with less power but if needed I can put a little extra into it and get it to drift left. Often confuses my card mates thinking I (a lefty) threw it right handed. Love my Draco and Banzai for the more stable options!
The new c-line FDs definitely fly more stable than the numbers, more like a 0 turn 2 fade. The new stock s-line FD they just released has a good bit of turn and is definitely more straight to understable flight, I think someone could bag both and they would compliment eachother really well.
I fully agree, i have been throwing the c-line for a while, just picked up an s-line yesterday and it flew like the flight numbers say fresh off the shelf.
Trying out some more MVP and Axiom this year! Doing an update video since I’ve been trying out a Crave. Tesla is the next one I’m planning on picking up!
I’ve been looking to pick up some more LSD to try! Very few places around me carry them, so will have to wait until main site is restocked. Thank you!!
ya definitely at the end of the day. There's only so much a disc can do. Every company is copying a version of what other companies are doing . So, for me, sticking with one company simplifies it for me

Happy to hear the Heat has been working well for ya!
I throw the Halo Leo3 too!
The slot under it is a LSD Mockingbird…great disc.
As for 9 speed…the Axiom Insanity has been 🔥
Just picked up the Insanity to try!!!! Already had a glow one, but that was a Firebird 🤣. I’ll have to look into the Mockingbird.
2015 sexton thrower? so awesome
They fly sooooo nice!!!
The New C line FD beats in to have a little turn then the same hookup at the end. If you want a more US option, grab an S line.
Definitely going to take a look at the S-Line! Sounds like what I was expecting.

I used to love the Stag until the release of the Maverick. I’ll dust off the old ones and give them a toss!

The sting is awesome! Super fun disc from discraft
Agreed!!! Have a couple other understable fairways to try, but I always seem to come back to it.

Good selection and demos. Can't wait to see the end bag

I have a Crave I have been looking forward to trying! Have tossed it a few times in the snow, and love how straight it flies!
Those under stable to straight sounds like you talking about a westside stag. That discs flies forever and does whatever you want
I miss my Stag!!! 😭. Had one long ago until it found its way to the bottom of a pond. Will have to revisit one, thank you for the recommendation!!!

Banzai is such a great underrated driver! I didn’t put it in the video, but it was what I was using in 2022 for that slightly overstable slot.
Sting flys just like esp heat on hyzer. I use neutron relay. I suggest you try one. It's a good 4 hand disc too
My esp heat is new and no where near as Flippy as yours.
My heat flys just like your crystal heat. I still want a big z heat. They feel like all the weight is in the rim like a roadrunner.
My champion sidewinder is stiff and domey. Fly's like your dynasty but has more glide when it finishes.

That is good info to know!!! I thought I was going mad 😂. Going to review the FD this year so going to pick up the S Line to compare.
Axiom has some very good fairways. I highly recommend fireball, relay, tesla

@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf crave and relay are almost the same. I've had 2 of each. I like the relay better it don't skip
Can I recommend having a text of the disc being thrown in the corner or something. makes it easier to find what the disc is when scrubbing through
Non transparent 400 or 400g prodigy F3 flies just like the maverick!
If your looking for an under stable 7 speed I have been enjoying the lone star discs mocking bird. Bravo plastic feels amazing. Great video keep it up
I’ve been looking to pick up some more LSD to try! Very few places around me carry them, so will have to wait until main site is restocked. Thank you!!
The new S-line FD is the better FD
I’m going to have to pick one up and compare to the C-Line. Durability wise, how does the S-Line hold up?
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf so far so good. Though it’s only been a month…so we’ll see.
open bag seems overwhelming
It definitely is!!! Even more so with all the new companies that have popped up in the last couple years.
