Busta's voice is born for rapping man!
True man true
You right bro. Busta was borne, a couple years later his voice was born and they been a nasty duo ever since lol.
Or radio
look up the old video of Busta battling ODB in like a parking garage...that is two epic voices going at it...ODB was wild
Actual
Jesus Christ Busta's voice is intense. I would shit myself if I heard that in a dark alley.
one of the few rappers whose voice sounds the same live and on the track.
MOBLSG Swisher GANG He almost sounds like Darth Vader without the air.
MOBLSG Swisher GANG Juvenile is also an example of that as well
Lmaoooo Right!
Xendrus Idziak Sometimes, when I hear him talk, I think about him and me in an argument and how many pairs of underwear I'd have to wear to keep stains from showing on my jeans.
bustas voice is badass
Imaginr him doing some voice acting
Sergio van der Meide i think he did on boondocks
@@bertus99 he did
@@Thejuicebox. on ?
If Ice T ever dies, I think he could do well on the Special Victims Unit
Busta Rhymes' intelligence is refreshing. I always come away from other rapper interviews feeling as though my IQ dropped by a few points just for watching. Busta's stories are lucid, highly detailed and articulate and I enjoy them. He gets everyone's names right, dates and times, details and more details. It's wild.
Budget Nudist He's a pretty smart dude. He's constantly re-inventing himself and you never know what he might come up with next. I'm not a big fan of rap, but Busta is amazing.
+Netsuko Yoshikawa Same Here. I'm hearing a Lot of Styles Mixed up And in Hip-Hop it's Busta Rhymes And Jedi Mind Tricks. He is just Awesome. He has a cameo in Master of None wich is Even cooler.
Budget Nudist I agree, same with most old school rappers. What I find even crazier is looking back to t.v. interviews from Janis Joplin and listening to how intelligent she sounds. I think people nowadays are extremely lazy with vocabulary and ita sad.
Right? He's a wise artist. A true visionary.
You could just say he's smart without dissing every other rapper.
We need more of these great collaborations with Busta and Eminem.
Agreed! I still love listening to Hurt You. These two make magic together!
Can you produce
Imagine Wu-Tang Clan feat Eminem and Ice Cube and snoop. Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I agree. So far we have 2 collaboration songs from these guys.
T A they collared wit Fif on the Hail Mary reboot back in the day to go at Ja and Murder INC. Em and then produced during that beef. So technically there are 3 total.
Calm down is
a good record
damn you have my middle AND last name lol
That's an understatement
Am I the only one, or does Busta kind of sound like Booker T?
Kemal:Yes,Busta Rhymes does remind of Booker T. Sounds and looks like Him.
Boss Playa HE DOES AND LOOKS LIKE HIM TOOOOO
Yea
5 time. 5 time. 5 time
Hopefully busta don't meet stone cold in a grocery store
Em & Busta deserves their I Am HipHop tribute. Been sooo long overdue, pay these legends their dues.
They deserve an entire album together
Busta got his and now em needs to get his next!
Em killed that verse
"Nah!"busts did
Busta got him all day it was luv tho
For me EM's verse was lyrically better. Busta got me more hyped though. Great how they compliment eachother
@@nunyabizness6376 He really didn't. Like Cire said, Busta's verse was fucking bonkers and bananas and it got me punching walls and yelling and whatnot, but Eminem's was just as complicated and lyrically even better. Not by much, but better all the same.
@@Tcrror um.. no. Bustas was just ok lyrically
It’s intense how even other legends in the hip hop community talk about Eminem like their not celebrities
They were basically battling on that record, they`re both emcees and friends emcees are super competitive. Em sent a msg when he sent Buss that 42 bar verse like... "ur not getting off that easy lets have some fun".
Lol they ain friends bro. People are so delusional. They didnt even go to the booth. They sent it through managers. Man people will say anything
@@RhymeClopsbro you just responded to a 3 year old comment. And who are you to say they aren't friends. Maybe they are maybe they're not.You can't just say they aren't
@@threepointshooter7454 He's an Em hater bruh, look at his other comments.
He's an em hater that's been on multiple tracks with him?
@@RhymeClops 4:32 "And I'm such an Em fan right" but oh he's a Em hater? Bruh stop it
Just off the simple fact that this record took over a whole year to complete, I got a whole new respect for this song cause this is one of the CRAZIEST records I’ve ever heard. They took turns adding more bars back and forth in a competitive way.
I love Busta's voice. It's so rough. Great shit.
You know, it’s crazy that no one ever puts Busta in their top 10 best rappers dead or alive. A lot of people forget that Busta is a beast with the pen
He is in my top ten. People crazy
It's all about the vision. Eminem aimed for the legacy.....Busta want the 💰
He's 3 on mine,
Busta's in my top 3. Been a fan of his since 98's What's it Gonna Be?!
He's been in my top 5 since i was 10. Lol. Where he will remain with nas, jay, jadakiss, and styles p.
"That my rage has gotta squeeze through it sideways
I just pulled up in Clive Davis' driveway
With his personal memoir saying he's bi
Waving a nine, a picket sign, egging his ride
Making him cry "rape" then arrive naked
And drive straight through the gay pride parade, yippee-Ki-Yay
Cause here I - wait,"
Em went HAM on this
My favorite part of Em's verse has still gotta be,
If you're too fly for Coach you'd better get your arms and frickin' hands flailin'
and JUMP like Van Halen
and pray for a damn tailwind!
@@FordPrefict42 my favorite lines was when he said "hey Mrs Abraham Lincoln, Other than your husbands fucking brains that were leaking, how'd you think that play was this weekend"
My favourite part is all of it
@Mickey Mouth and it wasnt that bar its self we talking bout the rhyme scheme and flow and how he delivered it
@Mickey Mouth he's just rapping for the sake of rapping the song had 0 content. relax yourself
They took months and months, damn near a year to get it mixed and mastered. I got even more respect now for this joint.
Moral of the story (Em is a perfectionist & Takes pride in his craft & takes it seriously)! & ain't put Nothing out unless all the verses ain't right & the song is a symphony from beginning 2end! I'm here for it👏👏👏❗❗❗
this nigga busta rhymes nearly completing his final transformation into a frog
lmao
Lol best comment ever nigga! He also looks like a 2 inch dick type nigga.
lmao
😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭
Dom776 Oh gosh, I just finished hitting upload, thought I'd listen to Calm Down, feels appropriate, followed to this video, read a few comments.
Got to yours, thanks man!
I'm gonna pretend that Busta's shirt had a pokemon center on it.
Lmaoooo Right!
👌
Lmao I love this
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Story never gets old. Awesome!!! Two skilled lyricists.
Busta Rhymes, Talib Kweli, And Mad Rapper Were the Only OG's (That i know of) To validate Eminem when he came out.
see most rappers aren't passionate like this now most just send in their bars and that's it they don't redo them or nothing
Busta with that voice could rap lullabies to a beat and it would sound like a hard as track.
We need to hear those first two versions!! Calm Down is one of the best rap songs to come out in the last 10 years
Whole fact
I loved the song, really dirty !!! great lyrics, both killed it and as a fan of Em I admit Busta in my opinion was better (i felt like his voice fit better with the beat), but none of them were weak and now that i heard the story, it gives more charm to the song !! Damn, Two Perfectionists
Its his voice men.. That was the taker on that collab..
Oh for sure, I agree with this. One of the very few songs I can listen to any time of the day and in any mood I’m in
"Am such an 'Em fan"...Me too brother. Me too.
This song took like 1+ years, imagine how long it took for Eminem to make his album
It took more like 1 day total, they just pussyfooted around like you wouldn't believe.
Well, Em is a busy dude.
"What you doing sleeping 3 in the morning" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 grind dont stop!
Busta murdered that track GOT DAMN. T. I. go sit the hell down somewhere son. You weren't never ready for Busta Bust.
That can be called two competitive rappers elevating each other, thanks to that competitive nature of these two monsters we can enjoy a wonderful piece of art, a lot of pride for both and above all mutual respect.👏👏👏👏
Interesting story about one of the most mind-blowing rap songs I've ever heard.
Swear to you I play this loud 3 times a week
EM i seriously on of the most underrated producers out there.
Busta living in a 18 month year.
underrated comment 😂
That's how it be sometimes 😆
They need to make another one. I don’t care how long it takes! Please
My fave collab with Eminem & considering people always say that if Em guests on a record that it's his record now, well the fact that Busta kept up & kept even (it's too hard to say if one beat the other), that gave me a whole new level of respect for Busta.
Em won slightly but Busta came with the work though. He probably heard of what Em does to other artist and wasn’t going to let it happen to him.
@@godchild006 Well, this wasn't their first collab, but I think it's definitely the better.
@@godchild006 LOL. Em got ate. Period.
M definitely got ate he went in but busta a animal on this bit
Eminem is so precise on how he wants to rap, where he wants to emphasize the syllables, how fast he thinks he needs to go, like little details like that to want to realy improve his craft to the level of Busta Rhymes. That's the dedication he has, and Busta Rhymes has just as much dedication as he does. Like these are two of the kings of rap music right here, no question.
Yes facts
he said the song was 3:08 seconds of spittin fire 🔥🔥👌
then he adds eminem which is even more fuckin fire 👌🔥🔥🔥🔥👌
I remember when I first heard this song when I was 16/17 years old. First time. Seeing this interview and it made me want to go back and listen to it.
Love how it's like a battle rap between the two of them on the same track and although I'm a huge Em fan I have to say Busta went hard on that one and had the better verse!
And that's why I Busta and EM is in my top five... Their commitment, the skill level, the determination they put in their craft, their art is on another level. 🔥
Fuck ne. Busta rhymes has changed so much in his looks over the last 5 years
Definitely need that collaboration again! Just pure fire in the booth
great fucking song..instant classic!
Busta sounds like he has a great memory.
Frfr
Busta one of my favorite rappers of all time. He reads allot cuz he's articulate
As a Die hard Eminem fan, Busta Won that verse
Agreed
Busta went crazy on that track, epic!
Great track Busta And Eminem .... your passion for the music, the art it's commendable ... that brought us a great track.
Respect to you 🐐🐐💯
Plain and simple..shady keeps them guessing and I love it..welcome to 2020👌
Big respect for Busta...this is what an artist should be...this is the only Collab where I don't skip the other artist to get to M's verse...
Busta was like "Not in my house". Hahahaha
I could hear stories from Busta like forever, i love his fucking voice.
Can’t believe it’s already been 6 years 😳
Calm Down pumps me up for the Gym... The first time I heard it was by accident. The beat dropped and I was like hold it, this is dope.
Toni its my soundtrack to train to in gym
Busta killed em on this track
Not in my opinion, ill hurt you is a different story..
Not lyrically lol did you understand what Eminem was sayin orrrrr
Way back in the day when I first heard busta on the Tim Westwood show back in 93 /94 , instantly I knew he was one of my all time rappers , his cadence in the way he says certain words is amazing but whats mad about it is , Eminem also does a similar thing that just by chance works perfectly along side of bustas style , Eminem and busta need to do a full on album Collab , it would sell so fast .
That's why I buy EMINEM or kanye albums thy put in work in everything thy release musically. Kanye takes months n has different pple working with him tell them to re write their verses goes to islands to do the album. I rather buy that then a 1 hr freestyle lol from lil Wayne
kanye rewrote Stronger 50 times because he didn't think it was perfect
YOU AINT GOT THE ANSWERS SWAYY!!!!!
blueburger4 it aint ralph tho!!!!!!
I'm gonna pretend you didn't just put Kanye in the same booth as Eminem.
Jesus H. fkn christ son
Scoopity whoop?
Love Bus… seen him in 97 in Tampa Fl… still rockin him
I love this interview I saw this like 100 times
eminem was like nah, you staying for a week, not leaving until i perform open heart surgery on 2 humans at the same time, on this beat.
Haha and beat up and killed thanos and darkseid with one hand😁😃😄
gotta love busta
One the most underrated songs of all time man two of the best doin it.
Busta... is a wonderful story teller and it comes through in his art...music..video.. #Legendary
Love Busta, love Eminem, but that Calm Down beat should give ANY beat maker confidence they can make money if they get the interest of quality artists (big IF obviously). That aside, have yet to watch a Busta interview I haven't enjoyed
bro, what language is that?
Ch3aBy. The language of intelligence
Props to scoop deville
@@mileyg74 Bars 🔥
am i the only one who would love to hear these early versions just to see how far it came along once Em got in on it and reworked his bars ?
Beat was tight. My workout song.
Shout out to the producer for not getting mad about eminem touching his beats that's dope most would take that as disrespectful
Bustas voice is so badass. Even more badass then when he's on a record lol
Love how they both challenged each other to be better - sign of two great artists working together!
I live for stories like this, MCs will be MCs and I love when they talk about their creative process, :)
I watch ds 1000x and still not tryna stop
Ok we need more of these great collaborations with Busta and Eminem. 💪🏽
Also great story.
Busta Rhymes is swollen
LMAOOOOOOOOOO
Legend has it they put out that version but they still go back and forth on that track to this day
Busta something else.
He got such a voice yet He's conscious of himself and the power of his voice.
Anytime he speaks it's gem's
Radical, I feel like a geek in the 80's watching how dungeons & dragons was made. the shit that's so dope besides timing, the undeniable product, and who produced the product is "The Story" behind it. Incredible. and to think they've been hiding this from us for so long. 06 was 8 years ago. The only other rappers I could see outputting something of that caliber is Twista & Z-ro. But that's a pipe dream for a hip hop junkie with an unquenchable thirst....but ele2 still aint came out yet.
They pushed each other and that’s what made an amazing record, good competitive energy
Anyone notice OT Genasis sitting in the background?
+TheOwlsTyler yeah i saw that too!
You can't rush greatness. Period.
I love this song.
His voice!!
Busta was the first rapper I ever listened too love him so much
man, Trevor and Marshall and Christopher (rip big) are my favorite mc.. for the fact they have fun with the music
its euphoric listening to a project from any of these artists and be able to laugh out loud at punchlines and bars.. rather to be mean mugging, "faces all scrunched up" (to quote Pharrell)
2 masters of the pen!!! That’s how it should go!
Oh shit, I'm just now noticing that Busta is growing his dreads back.
did not age well
@@Aerochalklate 😂
Yo love 2 of his songs alot Got You All In Check and I think the other is called Fire It Up its with the Knightrider theme song. Oh and of course Scenario. Of course there are other great Busts Rhymes songs but those 3 are amazing.
And sadly, I heard this song on the radio *ONE TIME!!!* The DJ kept rewinding halfway through Busta's verse and playing it over and over because he was so amped about the song. Unfortunately, mumble rap had already taken over the world and nobody wanted to hear it. At least this is how it was in the DMV. 🙁
2 years later
*3 years later
+EmaN *4 years later
AnOutlawForever99 *5 years later
Reading this comment two years later
Eve Storm 7 years later
Bustas voice is like he’s always rapping
MASTERPIECE AFTER ALL THAT!
Woah !!! YOU just found out , MMLP2 Begun being produced in 2011 😱😱😱
They need to do this live
Pure art man
Yo, is the track done now?
KraftTV it's been done for like 2 years
KraftTV
You have no idea how funny this is.
KraftTV obviously
Still wondering...
Both in my top 5 alltime
Busta went back to LA just for a hard drive..ayy man get in the cloud lol
Can't get leaked doing things the oldschool way.
one of the best songs of all time
Love this story❤❤❤❤
Just listening to this you can tell how some are serious about making one record perfect, not like now day days making song in a day and post it everywhere .
Scoop is an underrated producer man. WEST WEST!
Busta And Em make great lyrical barring
