I'm still figuring out the paragon board, so your feedback and suggestions is greatly appreciated!!
Can you post a video when your done finishing up that last Paragon Board so I can screenshot for the build? Thanx bro and love your content.
@@darkangelus2313 I second this!
😊😊😊😊😊😊
I'm trying to find the Imprint or codex for the Avalanche Key passive now applies one extra cast, but I'm having trouble finding it. Is this from a dungeon Codex or from a piece of gear that drops? Thanks, and great video! 😊
@@mohankitten6343its from a random legendary item piece.
pro tip for budding sorcs looking to run this build but don't quite have the mana and perhaps want a little bit more value out of their elemental dominance, pop a resourcefulness elixir for +50 resource and your standard +5% exp, it really helps you to pop off early on before you manage to pile up the lucky hit
Ty!
can we craft elixir of resourcefulness or is it drop-only?
Where did u found it?
Thanks for the tip!
Where do you get the recipe for this?
Another powerful aspect for this type of bulid is the one that gives a 40% chance for CC effect to spread to another non-affected enemy. Ive used frost nova on a crowd, watched as other enemies move closer and most of them end up freezing in place because, even tho frost nova was already used, any enemies still affected by it have a 40% chance to "infect" other enemies as they draw near.
yup, I love that effect...pissed off a lvl 65 barb when I was lvl 55...he was having trouble with a big mob. I came in hit ice armor, frost nova and killed about 20 in less than 4 seconds lol
Stacking resists right now is pointless, it is not working as intended, confirmed by the devs. You should stack skulls on your Jewelry for more armor.
For paragon what i figured out with the firebolt enchantment, there is a board that gives you a lot percentage on bonus damage dealt to burning enemies and with a glyph that gives all magic nodes in area a 30% bonus its rapidly increasing your damage. helped me on hc since i had to exchange my iceshard enchantment for flameshield as a lifesaver
Theres a aspect that immobilizes all enemies you burn and with devouring blaze is double crit.
@powe300 i use that...its amazing in crowd its really noticeable
Level 69 now and modified from arcslash to ice to this new mod or as close as I can get it.Still need that chest. Damage is not a problem. Mana sometimes falls off but more gear mods will fix. This build crushes. Just working on more CD and lucky. Fun build. Switched to ice for arcslash to clear the t4 capstone. After 5 deaths boss staggered on try 6 and got melted in about 3 secs.
Only thing missing is the chance to immediately reset Defensive skills. As Frost Nova is a defensive skill. Being able to pop 3-4-5 Frost Novas in a massive pack of Elites is just...glorious.
you should go enchantment master 1st board, grab both +non-phys dmg, go out to the right, elemental summoner board, hug the left, grabbing more non-phy dmg, go up to top, then pick frigid fate. put Control glyph on start board, imbiber on next board, skip next glyph, and use enchanter on frigid board. = +70.2% non-phys +28.4 dmg when healthy, +41.7% dmg to crowd control(+20% when frozen)
Nice build. Thumbs up!
I'm level 90 and this is what I'm currently testing out:
Mana Reduction 30% on boots (10%) + neck (20%) = Frost shard 20 mana per cast
Paragon Legendary Node: Static Surge (10 mana per close enemy stunned) + Raiment (mass grip) = mana issue gone on trash pulls
90% lucky hit - 60% static + 30% with barrier + Chance on hit to regen X% resource (gloves + offhand) = Mana issue gone on boss
Replace my resource on ring aspect with offensive aspect of choice. I went with attack speed on crit hit with core skill.
You want armor in jewel sockets and health on armor sockets. This will help prevent one shots later. Plus health scales with your barrier passive.
And more skill points into skills such as frost nova doesn't necessarily = lower CD. There is a breaking point/diminished returns. At a certain point, it is more valuable to have flat CDR on gear vs ranks into skill. This will be unique to each char and will require personal testing.
PS - that necklace is sick! I would roll that flat damage for CDR and aim for 40% overall.
Using like that, I use less lucky hit but more dmg and it’s feels so good
Highly recommend running damage reduction pants, especially with damage reduction from burning enemies. It makes the higher end Nightmare dungeons doable and having the armor gen aspect saves my butt.
Yeah, I kept getting oneshot by the normal archer mobs until I swapped to DR pants. Really does a lot when you get into higher NM
@@nicolasmandeville2810 i have DR pants and still get one shotted a lot..
i am pushing pretty high though.. mobs are 25-30 levels above me in nightmare dungeons.
I have a pants full of deduction
my sorc is a ice build as well. in general i just feel like cold damage is really good across all classes that can do it since it triggers CC, and loads of things can trigger off CC.
plus... deep freeze? c'mahn. that shits dope.
But still you can never burst like a barb, druid or hunter. in terms of damage it isnt even close
That’s why everyone running it
@@morten8586 lmao, ya sure bud, why are SO MANY people running Sorc if the dps isn’t awesome 😎…Sorc DPS IS PHENOMENAL, esp in early 80’s lvl
@@frostifaith4128'm running sorc ice and I'm barely scrapping by at level 53 tho 😭
As a level 45 I like this build. Obviously I have no paragon points or any of the legendary armor effects, but it’s working. Mana is a huge problem as of now, but I can just run away until it’s back.
Yeah same I am level 48 right now but I was a level 32 and was killing lvl 45 enemies it T3 pretty easily. Obviously when I got hit I damn near got killed with one shot but I like it so far
Sorceror had plenty of ways to stun. The basic lash forces one every 10 hits, lightning spear has an upgrade to stun every crit, they also have a passive that insta stuns just like the freeze passive on this build. Sorc in general trades overall survivability for multiple flavours of CC.
The unique chest that pulls everyone to your teleport location and stuns them for 2-3sec is so good for this build, too.
Trust me, sorc PEAKS VERY HIGH between 65-82 and then he starts to fall off DRAMATICALLY.
If you are like level 73 or something, and you're destroying normal shit and nightmares on ur level... don't feel good about it, cus it's too easy.
But when u start to reach that 85+ level and u start pushing nightmare dungeon mobs 108+ levels.. then you'll understand.
@SevZG couple that with the aspect that turns your dodges into teleports and have 3+ dodges on top of it...they STAY stunned
@@akhsdenlew1861 Yup, that's where I'm at, oh boy!
I dont get why sorcerer is so squishy but still behind barb, druid and hunter in damage. Blizzards balancing is just off
The others can carry more weapons.
Sorcerer is a class meant to be played long range. Crowd Control and range is the class. Which is odd because of the way Arc Lash is structured 🤷🏾♂️
@Y2J Sho_Nuff_216 that's the thing it's supposed to be a downside. Because it means you have to take hits. Arclash with how strong it is, is meant to hit hard and means you risk dying more.
Man with all my barriers and whatnot, I am the furthest thing from squishy 😂
@@xxluchianxxyou on t4?
Good build. I'm noticing that Raiment of the Infinite works as intended for you. You can pull them to you, cast frost nova, and then zap them. However, when I'm playing on ps4, I pull them in to me but we are all stuck together for about two seconds. So I'm as stunned as they are and unable to cast. Defeats the purpose. I found that if I cast it and move aside, I can still cast Frost Nova. But I'm still missing out on the stun aspect from the Raiment.
You can either use Flame Shield or use the Aspect that makes you Unstoppable for 3 seconds after teleporting
How do you deal with the mana problem in the early levels?
I’m having a lot of fun playing as a Sorcerer, I started with a barbarian as my 1st character
Diablo developers love these videos. Excellent info on what to nerf it all in next patch.
Great video. All the details without unnecessary commentary. Thank you!
If you are struggling for mana, run flame shield and the cost reduction passive.
For the wand, you want: weapon dmg>vuln damage>crit dmg>core dmg>close dmg. His has intellect, but the ideal stats would be to roll int off for crit (albeit it can be rare and expensive). Int is fine until you can afford to re-roll it into crit dmg or until you find a better weapon entirely.
I love with games at first I’m always kinda unsure but intrigued about it but the more I understand the skill tree and how skills connect with each other I start to enjoy it so much more
I'd rethink all the diamonds socketed. Barrier generation is absolutely massive baseline with this build and it's capped at a certain amount which is easily achieved via the talent tree and the constant damage being done during fights. Swap to rubies for armor pieces and skulls for jewelry. Topaz in armor if you're getting melted in NM's a lot.
My build is almost identical to this but I went with Mana shield instead of protection once I unlocked the Icefall node. I feel like Icefall + Protection is overkill for barriers, you benefit more from the damage reduction from mana shield imo.
I recommend putting the elementalist aspect on your amulet, this can get you up to 60% crit when you are at or above 100 mana (which you almost always are unless you are missing the target with your casts). And will basically give you so much crit that you almost always crit.
I did this as well it's a good tip
Hello, at what level/stage of the game can i start using this build? Thanks
what kind of system are you running for the game? gameplay looks FANTASTIC
just a recommendation if you have infinite mana there is 0 benefit to keeping fire bolt on your skill bar instead consider using that extra point from the renown and spending one point on flame shield and replacing the fire bolt this will give you an extra cooldown and more ways to escape CC
He uses it for enchanting his abilities to burn
@@BeemerOffline You dont need to use the skill on bar to be able to use it for enchatment.
Came here to write exactly that. I use the build above in pretty much detail except what you said, no point with the Firebolt, should be Flame Shield in the bar for that extra panic button! 100% needed swap!
You use the fire bolt enchantment to proc devouring blaze 🤡
@@dfgfdsgfdgdsafsgsafd He didnt say remove the skill completely (as it's needed in the enhancement part) he said remove it from the skillbar and have a skill there that you use as firebolt isn't needed to be cast.
Is it normal for this build be so squishy? I got oneshoted by some normal mobs and most elites in T4. For some reason my barrier doesn't proc the way it does in your video.
The same problem
So you would say you build is better than the classic Ice Shard build? You think the missing tankieness aspects are fine later on?
This build is made of paper. Definitely forego Icehart Brais and use solid defensive pants with Disobedience.
Let's clear this up. For the Frostblitz Aspect (Frost Nova gets an extra charge BUT the cooldown is INCREASED). I am understanding you want the lowest percentage as the best roll at 30%? So the cooldown isn't INCREASED by as much, you would actually want the cooldown to decrease right?
Yes, that's why the rolls are listed as 40-30%, the best roll is always the latter.
@@SoulmongerV2 but in this aspect's case the 30% is better... because it has a shorter cooldown.
@@shaolinswords Yes.
PSA: The aspect on your wpn (more dmg with barrier up) does not work. Its been bugged for quite some time, it doesn't do anything. Not a lot of people know about this for some reason, but you can test it for yourself.
Has anyone confirmed this? Would love to know
@@nosn.8710any update
Where is everyone getting Raiment of the Infinite from? I've had the game since pre-launch, level 74 and never seen one drop ever.
Any tips of where to farm? I've been hitting World Boss, Legion, Helltide, Nightmare dungeons. Obols and Greater Cache's from Whisper Tree but no luck in weeks of playing.
Is there a farming location for this?
I’m the same as you level 70 first day of pre launch. Few pieces I don’t have and I’m always farming for the gear. Not overly happy and still die allot on t4.
So maybe I missed it but it doesn’t look like you’re applying chill with any of your abilities besides your ultimate. So going towards the “applying more chill damage” may be inefficient. Kinda why I’m stuck on which skill enchantments to use.
Indeed you don't chill enemies with this build. Frozen enemies count as chilled though, they also count as crowd controlled. So between Damage to Frozen, Damage to Chilled and Damage to Crowd Controlled, use whichever has the best rolls.
@@SoulmongerV2 thank you for clarifying.
@@chiragpatel4253 Welcome.
I am extremely confused as to how following this set I’m doing ass damage. Can’t even do a tier 22. Gonna keep looking through what I might have missed but aspects are good, gear is pretty good…don’t know what the heck I’m doing wrong.
same here, i have same skills and mostly all aspects, maybe missing 1 or 2 but i failed a nightmare 21....as soon as the barrier is gone, which is like in 3-4 sec i am instantly killed....and also I am curious how does that infinite mana works cause I keep loosing mine completely...
Is Greater Ice Shards really that much better than the Vulnerable one? I feel like the vulnerable one is necessary with Avalanche…
Hows it do in Nightmare dungeon 60++? That seems to be the choking point for all sorc builds.
It's possible to play that for the leveling ? Even tho i don't have the unique/aspect rn ?
I’m not far off level 50. When can I realistically start building this? Do I need to farm anything in particular first? Cheers
If you have enough resource regen and mana, then you can do this otherwise, you’d go oom all the time.
I am lvl 52, and don't have that many points to put in the skill tree....what am I doing wrong?? Thank you for anyone's help
you get skill points for getting renown in zones for doing side quests and dungeons
Great video 👍🏻 But i see you put a lot of Paragon points into chilled enemies. Why is that? Im New to Diablo so dont understand Why
im not sure why, i have a lot of the things here, but i still cant go infinite with the mana, and i run out of it pretty fast, is it mostly because of the 2 points of avalanche that you dont run out?
Apologies if this seems a stupid question, but what does it mean by "when using a cooldown" ? i have picked up various items with this boost, but dont fully understand what triggers it? Thanks
Any ability that relies on cooldowns like frost armor and flame shield. Not skills that require mana/primary resource
Any tips on building this, coming off a Chain Lightning build? Other than just resetting my skill tree and grinding for gear, do you have other tips?
Gamble for pants with obols. Frostblitz aspect (the one that gives you extra Frost Nova charge) is a defensive aspect. Pants can only ever have defensive aspects, making them the most reliable way of getting it. Make sure to use a wand and a focus. Staves have no cooldown reduction and you want a lot of that to proc your Prodigy's Aspect as often as possible.
Just wondering why you don’t use blizzard instead of deep freeze thanks
Thanks! i’m fairly new to this and was really struggling to take out many enemies - usually just using the hydra and core firebolt while running around until my flame barrier came up. respecing my skill tree has me taking them out waaay faster.
Can you explain how you manage to keep your mana reserves so high during heavy combat?
ice shards is powerfull ? did you try chain lightning? its better for md
2 things I've noticed,
1. (Retracted) you are not chilling enemies at all, that damage modifier does nothing for you. (It's come to my attention that, frozen is considered 100% chilled)
2. Resistances don't scale that well so use skulls in jewelry. And avoid in paragon, for now.
You're getting the chill damage bonus for every enemy that is frozen
Been using the unique lucky hit gloves with this and it’s INSANE since every shard can have 200% increase damage. It’s a joke since it can crit
how do you always have a barrier cause mine drops in a few sec...then i instantly die :( and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I copied your skills and paragon board and I have most aspects, maybe missing 1 or 2 and I don't have infinite mana....
Great video and will respec to this at some point. I don’t get the glyphs on the paragon board. I can’t put a glyph in due to 0/25 (for example) will power. Is that stat based on points you add on the board along the way?
It's based of the border the glyph creates when u put it in and the ones u unlock with in it
How do you get the items that boost your skills so much? Details pls
Ofc you die easily, you dont take any dmg reduction on the skill tree, some sorc even avoid glass cannon to not die often.
is there a way to save a build and easy to switch between other saved builds ?
Nope. The "easiest" way to have multiple builds is to have multiple characters.
Are the uniques required for this to be viable? I am a new level 50
You don't need any uniques for this build to work. Raiment of the Infinite will help a lot but I don't have one yet and the build works fine without it. Mother's Embrace (ring) helps a lot with groups though.
If I use ice armour as enchantment, can I still get the mana regen perk when it’s activated ?
Why do you have Fire Bolt on your left click instead of flame shield?
im not as high lvl as you,im lvl58 i followed your first part of the paragon np at all but the next one i have nothing that says fridged fate its all burning stuff? can you explain why i cant get it please
What malignant hearts would you recommend for this now that thier a thing
why not have flameshield equipped instead of the flame bolt as it looks like you dont use it?
why is my paragon board for frigid fate different than yours?
Where's the infinite mana come from? Is it a legendary aspect? Because when i cast 3-4 shards i go out of mana...
The link to the written version doesn’t work anymore PLEASE fix it I’ve been working on this build for a while now
The class may be D tier but your explanations are S tier, I switched to sorc for season 1 and all the guides Ive seen have been pretty terrible, you go in depth and really give the info will, preciate it🙏
Is chain lightning sorcerer better now?
Do you think penitent greaves unique work in this type of build or is it better to run something else?
I think you can make a good argument for it if you get a good role on the Crowd Control Duration
There is a potential benefit but you'll be losing out on Ranks to Defensive skills. Cooldown reduction on Frost Nova and Teleport is worth more I think.
i have an one hand wand and still cannot use a focus why?
Is this better than chain lightning?
How are you making enemies vulnerable then?
(New to Diablo) Your second paragon board looks so different than mine. What can I do to fix it?
You can rotate the board
@@alexm8397 thanks Alex! New player, there’s a lot of info to take in
@@alexm8397 is there any way to flip it? Reverse it I mean
@justincathcart1978 yeah it can be done, but you have to reset each node on the board, which cost resources. Once the board is empty you can flip it
I figured it out, just realized there are 8 different types of boards to choose from
This might have been said already but the sorcerer definitely have abilities to stun. I'm currently running a stum build and might be switching this build cause why not
Are ice shards better than arc lash?
Damn your damage output is insane. 76k crits. I barely get 12-17k crits and im level 73 😂 my items are still pretty trash tho. But I can clear tier4 dungeons easy by myself. I guess im just unlucky with item drops lol
i cant like this ice ultimate can i use something different?
Where do you get the gear from? Love the video too!
can you show the skill tree without items ?
How can you uprade unique items? At the blacksmith its greyed out.🤔
How can you move on with only giving one point to your basic skills?
are enemies automatically chilled with frost?
Chill stacks and eventually freeze
I can't wait to give this a go because I've been disappointed with the Arc Lash build which was recommended from the day Diablo 4 came out on Icy Veins and the like. I like to play magic users to be ranged, not to play melee. I just haven't been enjoying the arc lash gameplay. It does seem like a lot of builds rely on crowd control such as Stun etc which doesn't work on Bosses so you can find a difficulty spike there I think. I'm sad I haven't yet found a decent build which incorporates the awesome fire serpent Inferno (my favourite looking skill) but hopefully seasons will update and change playstyles as Diablo III did. I'll respec and give this a go when I get home!
Firewall build on maxroll uses inferno, it's the build I use right now at lvl 77 and it mows thru mobs but overall the firewall build is slow going on boss fights
A useful trick I use on my build, especially for PVP... With that chestpiece that pulls and stuns everything, if you use the teleport enchantment, it makes your evade turn into a teleport, which also proc's the unique chest. With boots that give you up to 4 extra evades, you can have up to 5 teleports, all of which pull and stun enemies. I also think one major mistake a lot of ppl are making with this build is they are trying to eek out as much damage as possible, even though they are already one-shotting everything. Try to favor defense a bit more on your skills and paragon board and you will be much more time efficient, especially in NM dungeons.
I was wondering if someone could help me out. Which would be better . With ice shards with 4 times, dealing 24% less damage or 8 times dealing 12% less damage?
Where does barrier come from? Also how it generates infinite mana can someone explain thx
Kinda angry at Blizzard. Have a level 70 sorc and i feel i HAVE to go to this build to compete endgame. I love my current frost nova/fireball build. Now i must change it and grind only for blizzard to nerf this ice shard build and make me start over again
every game has metas nowadays... grow up.
If u want to complete the most difficult content in the game, ( high nightmares/ uber lilith) u have to follow the meta.
if u want to screw around, u can do it with any build.
im haveing real problems with cooldwon on forst nova...
Can you put the Avalanche Aspect on a staff to get more free Ice Shards? ❄️
Doesn't work. There's no roll to increase.
Wondering why your written guide recommends gemming for resist all elements? Everywhere i read says it's not good at all and blizz said they were reworking it so i was surprised to see that.
At the current state of the game armor is far more beneficial.
Just started with this build but I need a lot of help with the equipment to really make it pop
How do you have 2 resist roles on your rings?
Instead of puting 1 point on fire bolt upgrade, put that point on fire bolt so you get more burning damage. The upgrade is completly useless since you make the enemy burn by ice shards.
Does it work to start the game?
Why you need this 1 point in the fire skill do you have to use the skill for using the enchatment? Can you explain me this?
yes, its for enchantment, it will add burning to them and you can get a lot of +damage to burning enemies on gear and in paragon
@@farshot2713 thank you sir i started a mage and im lvl 40 i happy if reach the paragons:)
I got a staff that has, 70% damage to immobilized, stunned or frozen enemies, But I don't have a powerful weapon, I have it saved to embed it when I have a better weapon or make my build ice, Since I am a hybrid mage try with an ice one and I can't get used to it lol
Man, I m gonna be honest everywhere u look on youtube for sorcerer builds most of them have fire bolt enchantment with fire shield and devouring blaze.
I really prefer the full frost build u had before at lvl 54 , with Frost nova enchanted and Ice blades and ice shards.
I m on lvl 59 now and got the uniq pants u have with frozen enemies chance to spam nova, got the 2 charges with nova and ice blades having a chances to spam nova as well.
I m really trying to spam Frost Nova as often I can.Let s hope I make it to lvl 100 😊.
Fire Bolt enchantment is just too good to pass up. I played the Ice Blades version as well but once you get a decent cooldown reduction they become obsolete. The chance to proc Frost Nova is too unreliable not to mention the Ice Blades themselves spend more time floating around than actually hitting stuff.
You won't see this comment. But you should put ice armor on your left click. You never use basic attack. And put flame shield on your skill bar. immune to everything when you need it, is too good not use.
Why do people only put 1 skill point in the first skill? Isn't it good to max out your basic skill?
When you get higher level you are right now. Can you please keep updating your build please on everything i’m a sorcery now level 51 I have been running your build what you have right now it’s been amazing
I changed my similar blizzard build to this and damn does it die a hell of a lot more! Helltides are all but impossible! This needs a lot more damage reduction...
I love this game but I'm struggling to play one character. I literally have all 4 classes at level 30 and cant decide
So I guess that "endgame" now is NM dungeon tier 21.
