midori and miyako with the dean are imho the best guitar team on the planet right now and the rest of the players are top shelf as well. no weak link in this band. and beautiful? i don't need to tell you. the entire package. the guitarists can play anything and miyako goes bluesy in the slow down in the middle of the song . my favorite band out there right now. as someone else said the latest mv 'when destines align ' is a must. and 'scream for me' from the first cd is another one you are not going to want to miss. best guitar solos that will leave you speechless.link:ua-cam.com/video/vTaAeYFh7hU/v-deo.html
The shouts during the verses: [DIE] [BY] [MY] [SIDE]
The ad cut thing was something they only did on their first three or four videos. It was as much an anti-piracy tactic as it was for advertisement. They re-released all of those videos without the ad breaks a few months ago.
About the keyboard: they are recorded by Miyako (Dean guitarplayer at the right). She sometimes plays the piano on stage - and wonderfully.
Cool reaction once again. This is a great song. Awesome thrashy riff and the clean solo gives so much depth to the whole song.
Next one probably should be "When Destinies Align". That is one of their greatest songs as well with a killer solo section. And like many have said, it doesn't include an ad in the middle of the video so it's a safe bet.
Looking forward to the next one!
Thank you, it's up next for tomorrow! 🤘
When Destinies Align.....Deal breaker!!!!
Great reaction video.
Their song, When Destinies Align, officialvideo. It'll change your life.
Added to my list. Thank you!
I'm ready for a LOVEBITES week :D
It might be that kinda week! Song recommendation??
@@TimotatoReacts And classics are : The Crusade, Shadowmaker and When Destiny align.
There is more too but the sadly thing is that official video material on youtube is not really so much :/
I strongly suggest "When the Destiny align" for the simple reason that there isn't the "advertising breakdown" in the middle of the MV that kill the rythim...

@@TimotatoReacts The Hammer Of Wrath
Golden Destination
The Edge Of The World 🤘
I see many have already mentioned When Destinies Align. That's a great track. There is one called Set the World on Fire on their newest release and it reminds me a lot of this track. I don't know if there are any videos for it yet though. When they play live Miyako plays a few of the keyboard parts on some songs, but many are played as a backing tracks. Looking forward to seeing what you think of more from this group.
Yo this track was killer, very thrash indeed. That mid song slow down back to full speed was very master of puppet-esk. Little señorita on the bass was kicking arse 🤘🏽 a perfect banger on this Friday night.
Couldn't agree more!
That "Little Senorita" is Miho, the band's leader.
Miyako is a Gary Moore fan, as you can see from the solo.
Asterism - Rising Moon 🎸🎸🎸
Oh gawd, YES! I saw the kids last year in LA. Stood arms length from the guitarist. I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy any other show unless I'm up front again. It was amazing!
Hell yes.
Cheers Tim. I got the impression with 'Part 1' that the ladies weren't doing it for you. Balance is restored 😁
The live performance of The Crusade from Bloodstock 2018 ua-cam.com/video/Ogc4varqmVY/v-deo.html is what turned me on to this band. Miyako's (Dean guitar) tapping and sweeps are epic 💥 Yep think of Aces High. A nod to Iron maiden who are one of Miho's ( bass and founder of Lovebites) favourite bands.
I'm very sure When Destinies Align, Rising, Shadowmaker and Hammer Of Wrath will also be heavily suggested too. In fact, as with Band-Maid, I haven't heard a bad track. All kick arse. I've seen them live 3 times. VERY tight!
That solo in the break is sweet, one of my fave lovebites moments. Very Michael Schenker to my ears!
You really need to check this instrumental band, Asterism. 3 kids really. I saw them in LA on their way back from SxSW last year. Me and a couple former pro guitarists went down to check this trio out. I am a Band-Maid obsessed fan, and have seen them twice live. But I got to stand directly in front of the guitarist when we saw Asterism. Honestly the room was near empty. BUT it was the best show I've EVER been to! The kids put their all into it, just as if they were playing a packed Arena, and we were for all practical purposes on the stage with them.
Every guitarist I've shown these kids to is blown away. Even Bucket Head himself has collaborated with them on a couple songs. So they are well worth checking out.
They have a ton of live "Battle Sessions," as they call them, on their channel. I'd start with Rising Moon

There is an official Music Video, but just stick with the live studio version above.
One of my favorites by them; I think Miyako's slow burn solo in the middle makes it really special.
Miyako is a concert pianist and her hands were in sync with the keyboard sound so I assume she had her keyboard incorporated to go through her guitar.
They did an album with Nuclear Blast Records and they performed in Wacken. You cannot go much higher
A good example of how Japanese artists are far better at playing live and putting on a good show compared to many western acts, in my view. Playing guitar solos and smiling. No ridiculous posturing after playing three chords and a few single notes. Keeping in sync with the backing. The lead vocalists respects the crowd rather than swearing at them with an f u attitude, the list goes on. Others have left suggestions for other Lovebites, material for you to react to.
Well, I always feel there is a lot of smugness in Midori's smile. Like she is asking the audience "Damn, I'm good, am I?" But it's in a positive sense. When you are so good you can afford to be smug.
Lots of good Lovebites out there. Rhythm section (Miho and Haruna) founded the band and are the heart and soul. The wings are Midori and Miyako (guitars), and you haven't seen anything yet. Next up is "When Destinies Align": ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html This will not melt your face, it will vaporize it.
Wishing you luck at hitting 1k soon. There's reactors with way more that I feel aren't as deserving tbh
the biggest influence she gives the band is the bassist, who created it, she likes iron maiden, megadeath and judast priest and takes a lot of those bands
during the chorus the guitar reminded me of Scorpions Dynamite
"Rising" is a good one to check out.
Happy birthday Midori! :)
This song sounds much more like late 80's Testament than Metallica to me. If I listened to this without the vocals I would probably have guessed that it actually was an old Testament song i somehow had managed to not hear before.
I’ve heard them mention Anthrax and Megadeth more than Metallica or testament. Marketing reasons, they stick to heavy hitter references. Miho: Steve Harris, Judas Priest, Gojira (tho she wrote an article about Megadetjh recently, and is asked to do a metal set for the most famous metal dj in Japan). Midori: Kiko Loreriro (Angra, megadeth), another Brazilian band I didn’t know, Yngvie, Nuno Bettincort. Miyako(dean): Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore, some Italian death metal dude, Rachmaninov, Chopin, classic albums(master of Puppets, screaming for vengeance). Haruna: Helloween and Helloween, B’z. Asami: R&B, soul, rock (looks like pint sized Mariah Carey). Blind Guardian, strativarious have mentioned them too.
They have a sixth member Mao in studio who specializes in powermetal keyboards, vs Miyako’s classical piano. They use tracks, a) more bands do than we realize (shinedown(really? Too much), Metallica sometimes), and 2) at that speed it’s harder!, no mercy if you get off track. Mao collaborates/arranges a few songs per album and contributes generally one of his own, more prog & symphonic. On Battle Against Damnation he & Miyako both started with the same Rachmaninov theme and wrote competing songs. Both songs made the EP. this was Mao’s, among my favorites, but even has a choir piped in at the end. Asami writes all lyrics (except occasionally Miho), this one a follow up to their song Apocalypse, about the Hiroshima bomb, but both lyrics and music are blatantly trying to jerk you back to Hope
Under the Red Sky live ua-cam.com/video/KChT0QfuhKE/v-deo.html
Aratha Sena I don’t think he’s promoting anything. Fuki Commune. Last year Mardelas was Maodelas, he joined them for a tour. Lovebites in studio everytime. And like Fuki (Unlucky Morpheus, Lightbringer on permanent? hiatus), he does lots of work for Animes for a living.
You should check out the Five of a Kind (aka Live at Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020) version of this. It's a little tighter, and the guitar is a little nastier, and the keyboard backing track is mixed better! Miyako plays a Les Paul in that one, whereas she plays the "Dimebag" Dean in this one (the Les Paul sounds better for this song).
Holy War live.
