I'm off-topic. Forgive me. I played William Tell Overture on the piano when I was five years old, Texas,1955, on the Bobby Peters show. They may not have even made a recording back then.
My sweet husband passed away in February 2020. We met at a Christmas party in 1969 and we got married in June 1970. I walked in the door at the party and he was the first person I saw. There truly is love at first sight because I definitely fell in love with him that night. We would’ve been married 50 years in June 2020 but he went to Heaven before we made it. But we were together 50 years counting the 6 months before we got married. I miss him so very much! When you’ve been with someone for that long it feels like half of you is gone.
You married the month after my dad died, statistics say that more men die before their spouses, even baby boys, more boy babies die before their first birthday then girl babies, just yesterday I felt my dad near me (after 53 years) what about yourself, have you felt your late husband near you?
I am sorry for your loss, but you had 50 wonderful years together...My wife and I have been married for 36 years...I hope that our health carries us as long as you did...Blessings
I’m sorry you lost your husband so close to 50 years. I was married for 24 years to my husband who died at age 51. We would have been married 42 years next month.
While we have never been on a television show, my wife and I have been married 42 years. Kids, mortgages, minivan, vacations, baseball games, PTA, births and deaths : we’re still here. Takes dedication, understanding, having a strong faith, looking for the best in one another, being their support and loving no matter what. I said “ I do “….not “ I think so “. …or “ till you age or don’t look like you’re 25 any longer.” She didn’t say “until you lose your waistline and hair.” She said “I do “.

"We laugh together". That's it right there folks. My wife and I have been married for 38 years (together 43) and we laugh every day. If I have to run to Home Depot, my wife jumps in and we get a coffee for the trip and sing songs on the radio together. Other than the gray and being parents and grandparents now- we're still the same couple as we were in the summer of 1979.

It would be really cool if they had a reunion special and brought some of the most memorable couples back. Although Bob is 86. Don’t know if he’s up to the task but a reunion would be great
My favorite episode of The Newlywed Game was when they asked the guys, "How many times a week do you and your wife make whoopie?" One guy paused for a moment to do the math, and said, "Twenty one." Everyone else was like, "Three times a day? No way! Big talker!" Then when the wives were back on, his wife even paused to do the math, just like he did, before saying, "Twenty one!" Then everyone else was like, "Whoa! You da MAN!"
My grandparents just had their 75th in July. Sadly my grandfather just passed 6 months later on Jan 27th. The day before my 43rd Birthday. He was 99.
