love your video i wanted a gas stove for my kitchen ,i came across your video an that was amazing it build my confidence in getting the gas stove .just wondering do you have the gas tank in the kitchen or outside and how far did you put the gas tank from the house?
Be sure to check out my updated review here: ua-cam.com/video/G_DUkrQBHLU/v-deo.html We have the tank outside. It is hooked up right outside the kitchen wall. ❤️
Nice stove.. A propane cooking stove is the way to go..Hopefully Santa has a safe flight tonight and doesn’t have to bring her in hot on a twitch road somewhere! Merry Christmas.🎄
Please…where do I get parts? The company in Canada will not reach out to me. I have called and filled out their on-line form! I need a thermocouple for the broiler. I love my gas range but it is not working. And advice, PLEASE??!
Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting assistance. Maybe you could try going through General Appliance in Brewer Maine- That is where I got my stove from. Their phone number is (207) 989-4341. I hope they can help you out!
Thank you for your excellent overview of this propane range. My only concern is the large open spaces on the surface grades when placing smaller pots on them..🤔. Is this not a problem ?
Cool stove, love the oven isn't to hard on propane if you don't mine me asking was thinking of getting one. I had a new one that lasted only 2 years, it was junk . But love this one you show us. Great video keep going strong and marry Christmas to you and your family. Catch you on the next one
Great Video. Thanks for sharing. Fellow Mainer here. Well, I'm south of Portland, some folks call that Northern Massachusetts. That back splash too hot to touch?
I love this little stove too I got it in the beautiful teal green color. The only thing I learned the hard way with that you need to open the door to light it and it is a bit tricky interestingly however the directions tell you to light the oven you gotta turn it all the way around to the highest setting precedent and light it I did that for a while and then I noticed it wasn’t working like that. So I decided to push the light button ignite button at the left of the off for the oven and that worked just fine. A little bit confusing and has anybody gotten any water or anything into it and had any interactions on that?
I also just bought mine a couple of months ago but I didn’t know about the battery for the ignition just that you can light it manually. That’s cool I gotta look for that. What was tricky and not even the guys hooked it up from the propane company pointed out was that you need to open the door when lighting the stove. The first few days I actually could hear a poof sound inside Every time I would light it with the door closed and then realize that was dangerous. It’s a good thing God was watching over me lol. What’s tricky also is the way to light the oven versus the broiler. It be great if you would add a little video on that. For a while I was following the directions here where you turn it all the way down to the highest setting push it in and light it to ignite the stove and then today it wouldn’t work that way so I decided to turn it to just the left of the off button where the ignition is as well supposedly for the broiler? This work to keep the oven lit. What is your experience with light in the oven and broiler? Wondering if anybody had an experience of getting any debris or water on the stove top?
Hello Tanya SON! I light the oven with the door open so I can see the flame ignite- with three kids running around I can't always hear it light. Honestly, I didn't read the directions for turning the knob to light it, I just push it in so the igniter clicks and turn it a bit to the left, I don't turn it all the way up to high. Not sure if you have the same model or not, but with my stove the flame for the oven and the broiler are the same, you just turn it all the way up to "broil" for a bigger flame. Oh yes, we get plenty of mess on top of the stove. Usually it comes clean with a damp dishcloth. For more stuck on messes I use a homemade solution of water, vinegar and a little dish soap in a spray bottle, spray it on and let it sit while I wash the dishes then it usually wipes right off. I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions let me know, I'd be happy to try and answer them. Take care!
@@MaineGirlOutdoors Thank you for responding. I have the smaller I think it’s 24 inch so I’m not sure about the battery cause I don’t remember ever seeing that with regard to this model. I have to look what’s concerning to me however is I have the stove running fine every time before following the directions to light it and at this time every time I hit the igniter switch as soon as I turn it to change the temperature it goes right off. Wondering if you’ve had this experience or any advice to share?
@@tanyason1138 Sometimes as I turn the knob to set the temp the pilot goes out instead of igniting so I just start over. Not sure if it's me or the stove, but it doesn't bother me. 😊
Resistive heating is one of the most efficient methods of energy transfer, there was likely nothing wrong with the old one nor nothing a new one would do "more efficiently".
That's really a nice stove and we have a gas dryer and hot water heater love that gas little more lucky we are on natural gas and you sure you are not from the south I just love to hear you talk I'm in Georgia 🍑🤠
I own this stove in turquoise and the paint is peeling off everywhere around the knobs etc after 2.5 years. I would recommend that you do not buy one of these!
I did an update video ....my stove did the same thing. The manufacturer said there was a paint flaw. They replaced my stove for free and let me keep the old one too, which works perfectly fine, just has chipped paint.
...truthfully, I just don't get it. Person claims they're doing "a review" of a product, in this case one specifically marketed to those who own and/or live in a "off grid" cabin or house. Perhaps it's just a failing on my part but it seems only natural to include the most basic but impirtant information that most people would be more than interested in...specifically PRICE and GAS CONSUMPTION over a commonly used duration, such as oh, I don't know, how about MONTHLY!? Let's see, looks like a gas stove...lights like a gas stove...hell, it even cooks like a stove, not only on the stove top burners, but the oven as well...IMAGINE THAT, BRILLIANT! What a monumental waste of time. BIG thumbs down!
No need to be a jerk about it🤣. We paid about $1,200 for it, use about 100lb propane in three months and I just did an update on it, video link here: ua-cam.com/video/G_DUkrQBHLU/v-deo.html.
*Update* For those who were asking/wondering: A one hundred pound tank of propane lasts us about 3 months.
I am enraptured by this womans beauty 😊
Great video. I was looking at this stove as well! My wife and I have a Unique retro solar fridge and love it.
Nice review. It brings one piece of mind, knowing that if the power goes out you'll still be able to cook. A great upgrade for sure!
Excellent video can’t beat a gas stove 👍👍👍 glad you chucked the old one lol 😂 love the lingo it’s like being back home 🤗
great video! thanks for showing us the oven and explaining all the features ❤
Glad you enjoyed, I hope it was helpful. ☺️
Really seems like a quality item. Very basic but so functional. Thanks
I still think it is great, still loving it! Thanks for watching!
"Don't you dare bring over that glasstop stove" 🤣🤣💯💯
😅
Nice review, think im picking one up this spring.
Such a cool stove. Very practical. I like it.
How much did this nice stove cost ?
Or maybe I should have ask where joe bought that stove
I think it was around 1,100 on sale. Quite a bit more if you get it at lowe's or similar place.
@@MaineGirlOutdoors not bad at all
Nice, now we need a video of you cooking up some venison from that buck you got!
Very nice , I love cooking with gas and the off grid feature is 👍
Paul Sawyer I grew up with gas, so having electric the last ten years has been annoying. 😅
@@MaineGirlOutdoors I'll bet it has , I could never go back short of starvation 😂🤣
Have u discovered how long the battery for the igniter last yet ? Just wondering .
Put it in mid September this year and it's still going so far.

Those Unique units are real nice. Their refrigerators are great too. Pricey, but well worth the money.
I was thinking I might look into the refrigerators when ours "goes" some day, lol.

Good question. I have a small, 1 qt dipper I use on the stove top. As long as I place it directly on the center it's not a problem.☺️

It doesn't seem to be. I'll keep track on the calendar and give you an update on how long the propane lasts.🙂
Good job , just bought one
Thats a real beaut. On my list
Would like to see video on propane hookup and regulator.
Great Video. Thanks for sharing. Fellow Mainer here. Well, I'm south of Portland, some folks call that Northern Massachusetts. That back splash too hot to touch?
It does get quite hot after it's been on for a bit. Hot enough to burn I'd say. It's a backsplash/heat vent.
Nice stove for sure. I still do my canning on the old Garden Harvest colored electric stove. Need to upgrade myself.
Harvest gold is actually the color
Still love it today, great stove! Thanks for watching!
Looks awesome! Can you light it if you don't have a battery?
Yes, you can light it with a match.
