Ally, you are one of the most capable women I've ever seen, and you're not even that old. Watching you chop wood, clean the chimney, work on the cabin is so inspirational. Sometimes you start doing something and I think, ' no, she won't do that, or be able to do that", but you just plow through. Then you go to the garden, get some vegetables like you know exactly what you're doing, and go in the kitchen and start cooking like a chef. Amazing.

Good job, cleaning out the chimney cutting up the firewood and harvesting your garden, which looks wonderful and delicious. So much to get done this time of year on top of all the rain that part of the country has been having. The new wood burner is beautiful. Mary’s bags look sturdy and well made. 👍👏

I love your content and has been quite educational deepening my own skill sets in herbalism. I love how you made fire cider and witch hazel. My grandmother even used witch hazel for bruises, scrapes & scratches, bug bites, varicose veins, and cleaning out wounds or punctures we would get on the farm but didn't need a doctor for. People with rosacea should be careful, though, so as not to aggravate their conditions. Thank you so much for what you share and blessings on your endeavors

I sent a message about this topic to Kyle I know he was thinking about being interested in it.... Hunting your own protein and with the rural area you live in, I think harvesting fresh venison would complete the 'circle' of living off the land. Nothing better than real organic clean meat. Here in Southern California it's like gold to me!

Have a good question for you. Back in the day, about 60 yrs ago, I was visiting my cousin's grandfather's farm. It was a dairy farm in Pittsfield ,Maine. She led me down a long corridor which connected the house to the barn in this rustic place. There was a wooden door in the floor which went down deep to a dark cold cavern. She brought up a mass of the most delicious candy, like honey but solid., brick like. Thoughts on this? The home was huge, so many rooms, but very very old even back then. Frank Hesdorfer was her grandfather's name ,born in 1890, He played Santa Clause in the Christmas parades for many years. I thought he was my grandfather until years later. The farm is gone now. I can remember him calling the cows in from the fields...Here Bossy Bossy.
