I have two favorite young women that I watch on youtube, Ally being one of them and Hannah Lee Duggan being another. Beautifully made videos that are so soothing to my almost 60 year old soul, I feel as if Im sitting down with a warm cup of tea and chatting with an old friend. But mostly, I am so very impressed by these lovely young ladies. I LOVE that they don't wait for a man to help them get things done. I love that they are not afraid to get dirty and use power tools. I also love that they get creative, and are willing to take chances as they learn new skills and create beautiful homes. I wish when I was that age that I was more in tune with life and doing things that mattered. Much different than my life at that age, caring about nothing more than going out to clubs and bars partying and having a good time and doing it all again every couple of days. I would love to have been more focused like Ally. Wonderfully inspiring and makes me feel like I am not too old to get off my tookus and create something wonderful in my life. Love from Northern Maine xo
Hi Ally, You are a force of nature. You are so talented and it seems you can tackle any anything well. You are an inspiration to all of us women. Congrats!!!
I teared up at you making a headband. My grandma used to crochet and it’s been years since I’ve watched her hands make something. Your headband came out so cute !! Looking forward to ordering some rose water soon. Happy holidays !
Hi there Ally, I want to let you know how calming and inspiring your videos are to me. I am always amazed by the amount of hard work and sheer talent you put into everything you do❤️ I'm so happy to see that you still get to be at the cabin from time to time. I am eager to hear how things are going with the town council. I am praying things are going in Your and Kyle's favor. I just don't see how they can pull the crap they did and get away with it. Wishing you both the best, and a very blessed Holiday season!
Thank you so much! Reading this put a very big smile on my face. I appreciate the thought and kindness you put into that!! Update will be coming soon about the off grid cabin.
This really was such a momentous year! I make UA-cam videos in a similar spirit as you and it's really special to have so much footage to reflect back on to just give some context around how much we've done and how huge these times really were. I have to give you the most massive props for all the incredible work and construction you've done - seriously so inspiring - AND you were able to film it! Wow. After a year of living on the road I've decided to get settled for the winter and have been renovating my first 'tiny home' and it has been so intense and so rewarding - so I know and deeply respect how much work you put into what you do. You're so not alone when you said "everything takes so much longer than I think they do" - that has been my life the last few months. Sending love from my little corner of the world to yours 💙💙💙
Very proud of you and Kyle and you are not even my children. Yous have accomplished so much and how you help people learn about plants etc. Never change who you authenticity are because it is your life you are living. You will have left amazing foot prints on your journey. Thank you for the info on herbs and plants very interesting content.
Ally, I love your videos and your products! The Flourish Lash Growth serum is unreal!! I'm sure you and Kyle will get a magical snowfall soon. That grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup looked deelish!
Glad to see you getting your garlic in the ground. I was actually wondering if it was too late to get my garlic going. Curious to find out in spring how it did. With all the weather changes it’s so hard to go by old timing rules with these things.
Always look forward to your videos. You are my inspiration ❤ I’m in England but trying to build a similar lifestyle for myself and you always help me mentally and emotionally. Thank you ❤
Would love to see you spinning your own wool, then knitting, crocheting, or using a loom with it. Your sourdough loaf looked very nice. Baking bread is no mean feat in itself. And the meal you paired it with is one of my favorites. It all looked delicious.
You should totally put in a potato patch at the cabin hon, they are so fun and easy to grow, so bountiful! They keep so well too. Maybe some kale and pumpkin too? None of those need tons of light, especially potatoes! God bless you, wonderful soul🙏🏻💗
You are very courageous Ally to stay alone at the cabin ! Be careful and take care of yourself. You did a great job with the crochet ! I love that too, I feel it is emptying my mind and relaxing me. And there is so much joy creating something ! You do so much things by yourself ! it is really the true way of life. Sending love from my apartment in DC :(
There is so much I miss about wood heat and wood stoves. The chopping and stacking and the tending the stove at night. Independence. It is good that people see this. And growing vegetables. More people need to be in touch with the knowledge and the experience for those who can embrace the challenges. Confidence grows and so does self respect. 🪶
Very cool. Try a merino wool base layer. I like either Point 6, or Smartwool in a 150 weight. warm and breathable,.. and not itchy. Feels like a cross between cotton and silk.
Thank you! We do have a two wheel wheelbarrow as well, it is just tough to steer and keep level in the forest terrain especially the hills and stones. I'll get it all down with time :)
Great video. Chuckled when I had paused you to make my partners coffee and my tea and then watched you make your coffee. Yup I'm one of those 😁. Fell in love with tea in the early 70s bumming around Europe for a couple of summers. In England hot tea & fries (french fries) a quick warmth & filler 😄. Enjoyed you cutting & splitting the wood & planting garlic. Keep enjoying
Your custom products are my fav and I’m a product junkie !!!! ….so it’s nice to have a few really nice “go to” items that I use day & night . xoxo 🌱 Ps the boot balm is working !!!
Thanks! I would love to share more details in the recipes, I just do what feels right with ratios and should start writing down the actual ingredient amounts! :)
@@allymariebrown lol my mom threw out some pants one year both legs were completely covered with embroidery. She said you look like a damn hippie and I said thank you but that that ended my day that embroidery day. Now I can look like a damn hippie. All I want lol.
Ally you must of pioneer woman in another life.LOL- everything seems to come so naturally for you. For such a young person who seems to be an old soul - you shine with enthusiasm and positivity. Love you videos they are helping a lot of people. Rock on dear one. Can’t wait for the next ones. Happy Holidays to both of you - with love, 💕
Haha love this comment, thank you! I truly enjoy taking on new tasks and responsibilities to increase self reliance and just to acquire new skills in general :) Happy holidays!
Get a tarp and drag it instead of struggling with the wheelbarrow. You are doing AOK in my book little woman! With I had your energy when I was your age.
Just curious if anyone else noticed the tall light that moves behind Ally between the trees??? It happens at the 19:29 mark in the video. What was that? I don’t want to freak anyone out just very bizarre and I’m curious if anyone else caught it. Is there a road on the other side of those trees?
Curious of how much footage is actually you alone vs. A crew filming you? No disrespect but i naively alway thought it was just you or Kyle moving the camera for every shot. Either way love the videos ❤
After years of practice it’s always just me or kyle! I film 99% alone on a tripod but sometimes a moving shot would be kyle helping me. Even the drone I operate alone! Lots of cool tech these days. I appreciate you thinking there are lots of people, it’s been an art I’ve been practicing and learned from kyle.
What if you just grow a bunch of medicinal herbs for your business and personal use at the cabin and then grow veggies at the house?❤️ that seems like a dream!!
I pray you remain protected and isolated from all harm in these magical woods. Sucks that the most peaceful activism for the earth and our human wellness living on her, has to be a target for the control system to come and disrupt and attempt to destroy. It's insane to know the regulators have no ethical or moral respect for property owners. How is you growing your own food in an off grid cabin hurting nature? The town? The people around you? Yourself? What's there to regulate then?
It's not just you, but why wait until it is Cold to break the wood and not stock up during the spring/summer to prepare for autumn and winter? It seems like a LOT of wood is needed...
This year it was because of the chaos and no true free time with work and moving out of our old town and navigating the off grid cabin and then a-frame cabin simultaneously and just being young and inexperienced, we are learning tons this year and will be sure to get it right next season! :)

Somethin about the sound of splitting wood, can't wait to see what sort of project you have in mind! Loved the video as always 🤍
Seriously! I love the whole experience of wood splitting. So sensory.
That cabin is stunning! Fantastic work girl! So proud of you!!!!

Your videos at the cabin are my favorite. A little more Mow would be great! 🐈
Thank you! Haha I love having him in them-he is at the a-frame now, not the off grid cabin so he wasn't around for this one!
You are just so adorable Ally!
Your coffee grinder, kettle, and brewer have an amazing vintage aesthetic 😊. These are incredible videos.
Thanks so much!
Thank you
You're welcome!
I admire you for showing how strong women are. You’re a warrior! ❤
So grateful for your kindness, thank you!
What an exciting time in your life!!!

I am so curious to see as well! Update to come :) I know, it truly is strange having to often reassess all those "tried and true" methods.
Thank you 🙏🏽 for sharing , love everything you do ❤
So glad! Thank you.
Always look forward to your videos. You are my inspiration ❤ I’m in England but trying to build a similar lifestyle for myself and you always help me mentally and emotionally. Thank you ❤
Awe wow thank you so much!!
You can plant the garlic closer as they are not a huge bulb..we just harvested ours and got double the amount planting the close
Would love to see you spinning your own wool, then knitting, crocheting, or using a loom with it. Your sourdough loaf looked very nice. Baking bread is no mean feat in itself. And the meal you paired it with is one of my favorites. It all looked delicious.

Great idea!! Would love to.
You’re doing amazing jobs, Ally. And crocheting is an art, you’ll get there with practice. ( I see your heart in it. ) Much love.

You can grow flax and make linen yarn too
Holy smokes, good to know! I’d love to do that.
Hi miss ally im your new subscriber from Philippines, i love nature, so love your videos, and stay safe always❤❤
Thanks for subbing! Welcome :)
Hello Ally,
Love my Rose spray.
Love this there fire flys out there? Kept seeing flashing light behind you at the end of video.
Yay! That is fantastic! Hmmm, I will have to reweatch that segment, usually the fireflies are only around in the summer.
Beautiful video ❤
Thank you!!
❤❤❤ Thank you!
You are so welcome! Happy your are enjoying :)
We should be given our choice of a subscription or joining . You are the first to take away our choice and your show is soooo good!
What about using velcro for the back of your headband?
Great video Allie maybe look into investing in a 2 wheel wheelbarrow or a heavy duty mesh wagon
Thank you! We do have a two wheel wheelbarrow as well, it is just tough to steer and keep level in the forest terrain especially the hills and stones. I'll get it all down with time :)

That is awesome! I love a good tea. That time in Europe must've been incredible. Thanks so much for the kind words.
Yes, a sled would be good for hauling wood and get you a wheel barrel with 2 wheels. I love mind, no more dumping out what you loaded up.
I can't wait to have one!

Oh wow thank you for that!!
I can’t watch your videos without thinking about how my great grandmother lived on her farm in West Virginia, the same farm where I was raised.
Awe wow that's incredible!!
Only certain breeds of sheep produce the kind of wool to to use for clothing. FYI. Love this video great way to end my day. I’ve started embroidery.
Good to know! Thank you. Good luck with your embroidery, I want to get back into that too.

Did anyone else see the light flash to Ally's left at 19:27??
Is it the one right next to my head? It''s the axe/maul handle moving into the light pointed at me :)

Borax is amazing for cleaning and been around since 1800’s
Bleach is what we call it today!
Intersting! I have heard of that slightly before!
Are you and Kyle no longer sharing the off grid cabin?
