Its so hard to try and steal the ball these days because of all the holding & carrying going on. Even Trae Young held the ball against his hip on that one move 😅
My main sport is football (soccer) and in that you can defend without any limitations. In basketball what pisses me off are the reach in fouls. Why the hell would you make defense even harder than it already is. The defender shouldn't be taking it easy on the attacker and playing soft. The attacker should have the responsibility of overcoming this, and should want this pressure as it will make them better. This is my respectful opinion, would like to here yours too.
@@arianr-grfyou can defend in soccer but there are limitations just like in basketball, you have slide tackling rules that stop you from using excessive force against another player. These are the same in basketball, it takes a lot of precision and skill to take the ball away from a person thats dribbling, hence the reason why reach in fouls are not allowed in game, because hitting another persons hand or grabbing them not only stops them but also creates a huge disadvantage to the offensive team. The reason why soccer is different is because the dribbling in football is mostly on the ground, so the only way to defend is to stay on the ground and kick the ball (most of the time, not accounting for air dribbles), and also if you try to kick the ball in the air and miss hitting the offense you get a yellow/red card in some cases, same goes for basketball
Sadly I see a lot of same thing every year. College coaches will have to "Un-Teach" the things that do not win games or championships. Recruiters frown on "Posterizing" and look for exceptional basics.
If you drop somebody and just stand there, you are dumb. You've created an advantage and you are basically saying you are more important than the team by not using it.
0:46 The finesse on the layup was crazy
Lots of dribbling that won't fly at the next level.

@@Averagedre I would agree
You can’t unteach natural talent.
@@pisces363 Nor should a person try. I was referring to the narcissistic approach many young (And older) players have to the game. It's a team sport.
@@GetsumJ I can agree with that.
