I am a master of the Irish goodbye. Brought it up at a family gathering and found out that it is a tradition among my relatives. We'd miss our own funerals if we could get away with it! 🇺🇸🇮🇪
I started calling it an Irish goodbye like 5 years before I realized it was actually a thing. At least I got like 5 years where I thought I was the shit for coming up with that 😂😂
oh..! ⭐️this is so good ! somehow it reminded me of mighty boosh.. and fuuuture saaailors ..and yet it’s completely different 🤭 love it ! and love the fact that people that i get and potentially would get me 🤷🏼♀️ actually exist. i’m on a desert island now actually.. in a smallish Polish city 🏝 English language for some reason is totally alien to everyone. and damn. i guess all of us Poles that grasped English, some that didn’t also.. and who got cozy and familiar with the abstractly honest sense of humour of yours in the UK, made that jump so.. reside on your island at the moment. i have heard u complaint it’s a bit crowded this days😅 send them my way!
Flo & Joan need to bring out an album…as in a record album - go the whole hog, album cover art, description inside, with a montage of pics and stuff ….would be absolutely awesome 🤟
@liam firlej but you’re not on here because you don’t like them…you’re on here to call out those that do as shown by your comment “awesome if you have no taste”….in short calling out those who do like them as having no taste. Troll much? (Cringe all you like….but I can’t help but wonder if you didn’t like them / their music you could have just kept quiet and moved on or at least call them out, instead of picking on random people who enjoy it 🤷♂️)
@liam firlej - you said "Flo and Joan the worst performing act on earth. Congrats" ...your opinion 😊👍👌 ...as for the 'Congrats' bit.... thanks cupcake 😊 🙏
that’s an intense convo u had here;) and so, being proactive and insightful, anticipating future troubles.. always citing opponents comment! can clearly go a mile 😅😎 well done and they’re damn awesome. i have just discovered and feel like i should’ve some time ago 😄
Hello everyone. Could you help the person who beyond cultural context. Are those melodies performed with the whistle improvisation or they are some kind of popular songs (melodies) for Ireland? Thank you.
There are elements of traditional Irish folk song in the melody and harmonies. Rosie (Joan) is playing the bodhran, a traditional Irish drum and Nicola (Flo) is playing a traditional folk “penny whistle”. At about 1:50, Nicola plays part of “Oh Danny Boy”, a famous Irish song.
An Irish Goodbye is a slang term for sneaking out of a party or gathering without saying goodbye to avoid any emotional situations. So they’re ducking out of every event because Steve is there and they don’t want to talk to him
Let’s all turn to Jesus in these tough times:) for he is coming soon to judge not to bring peace! Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today to spend eternal life with him and escape the pits of hell!
I really don't know which is better, their musical or comical talent, luckly I don't have to chose! Thank you for sharing ur talent with us!
I missed you two so much!
Dia duit as Baile Átha Cliath (hello from Dublin). I thought this was great craic. Great work with the bodhrán. Would love to see you live ☺️☺️
I had the pleasure of seeing Flo and Joan live in Exeter tonight and they were fabulous. Come back to the South West soon, ladies.
And they did! A wonderful show tonight in Redruth. Thanks for coming all the way to Cornwall, ladies. Come again soon.

@@beckyfay6226 thank you. I felt as for the audience reaction that melody at 1:50 is something famous for all.

Flo & Joan are singer songwriters?
Oh, it’s flo and j…..

I honeslty don't get it. What is the joke here? Trying hard to see it.

@@georgiesvrcek2778 ah yes anything stereotypical like that is definitely American, cause IV never heard that here in Ireland
@@georgiesvrcek2778 thanks but still don't get it. At one point the audience laughed after the girl was playing the recorder. Why?
@@adammayer1721 It's a tin whistle which is an Irish Instrument. The other time they laughed was coz she started playing Danny Boy.
They're doing Irish Goodbyes with stereotypical Irish accompaniment: recorder, that drum thing, multitonal singing, Danny Boy

Can one escape the pits of hell by employing an Irish goodbye?
I hate musical comedy and musical comedy by two British women is worse by so many orders of magnitude I can't even measure it.
Who hurt you?
