He was a Bishop before coming to Potters House he submitted himself removed his title to become a disciple and now look at God. His absence is definitely felt at The Potters House. I think it was one that Bishop Jakes should not have let slip by.

I need to speak a word. And church he who has an ear let him HEAR me when l say this. This word goes out to all the churches especially CORPORATE churches. We are to bring the word of the LORD to the people. Not to the people of God. We spend so much time criticizing the church that its no wonder they don't want to attend. Speak the word of God in LOVE that it may tear down strongholds. And be not conformed to the world but be ye transformed by the Spirit of God and the renewing of YOUR mind. When you let the LORD transform you, you will let a stripper fresh off the pole come in to service and receive the word of the LORD. Instead of judging her you will cover her with a robe or a garment like our LORD covered us and you will pray that spirit off of her. You will let the drug dealer that smells like drugs come in to receive the word of the LORD. You will cover him with the sweet odors that go up to heaven. Thats what transformation looks like. The doesn't care how many people attend church, He cares about relationship with Him. How many in YOUR congregation is not just at church but in relationship with the KING OF GLORY? Judge not that you may be judged. We are judged by the same measure we judge others with.
