Have you got an aftermarket gear shifter on this one? My boy can't change gears on his.
Mines a 2020 model. Gears are incredibly difficult to change even for me. My 7 year old has no chance of changing gears. I know there at 1” longer shifters available because of this
@@brantwinter give it a little bit of gas when shifting.

To everybody having issues with hard shifting, look into the online manual and do the clutch adjustment, mine works way better after I've done this. It's and easy 5 minute job also.
Please wash your bike. You guys are learning how to wrench on your own bikes but can never spray off a little mud before tearing a bike down lolll
