17:27 I completely forgot to put the slipper pattern, and I actually had to track it down because, turns out, I didn't have it in my Ravelry favorite either 🥲 www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/woodland-loafers
I looooove an extra long podcast episode 😊 that yarn from Wyoming is stunning. I also like how you explained the sweater curse - I’ve been considering knitting him a sweater but only because he actually understands how much effort would go into it and appreciates that ❤
that's exactly it!!! the sweater curse isn't mystical, if you communicate and he has respect for you and your craft, i think you're safe 🥰 thank you for watching!
Great episode! Your boyfriend sounds totally knitworthy and I love that he picked the squirrel sweater! Very kind of you to knit that hat for your coworker’s mom. I think the yellow and dark brown will be nice-a woman in my knitting group did a dark brown and yellow sweater and calls it her Charlie Brown sweater :) I’ve currently returned to working on a long-standing cabled sweater WIP and hopefully will finish by the time it gets cold in the Bay Area!
i didn't think about charlie brown's palette, but you're totally right!! 💖 and i believe in you 👊 the way things are looking, we've still got a while before things start truly cooling down, LOL
Absolutely adore capretta and its dk version, capra. Made my mom a hat in the same color in capra and it is is so soft and it is one of her favorite hats I've made her.
i'm about 4 inches into the hat now and it's a total dream to work with! sooooo soft! 💖💖 might become a staple yarn for me if it's ever on sale like this again LOL
I'm behind on your podcasts, so idk if you've cast on the woodland loafers yet. I just wanted to share my experience with them. I have made that pattern and the garter stitch sole really doesn't hold up to wear. The pattern is cute and comfy, but my first pair, I have had to darn twice and then I made a second pair and sewed felt along the bottoms. Your mileage may vary, but I would not recommend that pattern because of the soles. The only reason I made it a second time is because I'm cheap.
@@moonbasket this is great feedback, thank you!! i haven't casted them on yet, but i included it in my fall knitting plans so i will definitely look and make a judgement call on whether to make some modifications!!
